Other than the leaked episodes I already saw, I'm very curious about all but one of them.

The odd one out comes near the end of the Season and after reading the synopsis for it, I feel like I'm going to be disappointed when it finally does come out. Which is a first, as in the past, I've never been furious with any of the episodes before their release. I've always been more curious than furious with every episode even the ones whose synopsis sound like a bad idea.

Time will tell if I'll warm up to that "Likely to make me mad/disappointed" Likely won't come out until right before the Finale.

I am very excited for the season, more than I have been in a while, people need to stop pulling the "feels like white mans burden, diversity pushing, left leaning" card when complaining about the school, we literally have absolutely no idea how it will turn out, it fits their character arc to expand the magic of friendship to the world beyond Equestria. I also don't get why people think the school will somehow only ever be about teaching in class, at least it feels like that is what people are expecting. The new characters will have adventures and experiences as well with the mane 6 guiding them, I hate the idea of being so negative about something when so little is actually known about it, much like season 8 and G5.

I’m pretty excited, as long as they have enough non-school episodes though. I like how varied their adventures normally are and how they go all over equestrian doing different things. Being in the school will restrict that because it will always be lessons in the school building. Hopefully they get a good balance between that and old style episodes.

Gonna be honest, I'm not a fan of the School of Friendship concept. Teaching non-pony races about friendship feels a little too "White Man's Burden" for my taste.

Too, TOO much in hype for this S8 that for what I saw, imho, it seems very interesting and full of premises ;D
I admit, the idea of the School of Friendship I like it, not so much, but I find it a nice idea, but what attracts me more than this idea are also the episodes that do not concern and focus on other things

Not as much as season 5, that season is still the most hyped season of the entire show, but still i am hyped for season 8 more than season 6 & 7 thanks to season 7 boosted my confidence.

Whenever I think of season 8 premiering soon, I get a weird feeling of giddiness like I am a 5 year old boy wanting an action figure; (Or is it mobile devices now?) either way, pretty much that feeling.

Mostly because I would actually be pretty happy if it turned out to be that. I am here for the show going full sitcom, if it ever happens. I'm pretty sure what I want for this show isn't really in line with what the fandom at large wants, however; is it bad that seeing people unsure about the school concept here only makes me more excited for it? My opinions have just been contrarian so often for so long that it seems like a good sign.

If you got most of the way through season 6 without really liking any of it, you're probably not gonna agree with my tastes. In season 7, I thought there were a small handful of great episodes, but I also thought there were several great episodes in season 6, so take that how you will.

Surprisingly, I'm not as exited as usual . Maybe because it's not that long S7 ended, pony movie, lots of EG shorts and a powerful special. Maybe having 7 leaked episodes didn't help

Hm, I think I am the opposite, I think the string of such high-quality mlp content made me even more amped for this season than any other besides maybe s4 and bordering s5. The movie, Shadow Play, and Fogotten Friendship were all so great that I just need to see more.

Yeah, and many of these leaked episodes are personally, among the best the show has offered. Problem is, the leaked are about a THIRD of the season, and they are all within the first half of it. So yeah, plenty of weeks watching episodes that I've seen already . Maybe I'll pickup my excitement after the mid season hiatus tho

That's a shame, that is why I have only seen all of the Breakup Breakdown (I think that is the title) and parts of Surf and/or Turf, I have avoided pretty much the rest of the episodes aside from reading some spoilers. (I have no issue rewatching breakup breakdown again finished though because it was an amazing episode)

The leaked episodes were a real shame. The rest of the stuff... pfft idgaf.

I wish I could but I just feel so consistently let down every time I try to come back to it. I mean, I don't watch MLP for the social commentary on marxism like in season 5's premier, or fanservice like in the last roundup or slice of life. I hear s6 is really good but I don't know if everything before it is worth catching up on.

I'm pretty hyped. Haven't been too active around these forums for a little while due to school, but I'm sure the new season will get me back in the swing of things. Haven't watched all that much pony since December. I re-watched the entirety of Season 7 and re-watched the movie, but apart from that I've mostly been watching anime during the gap between seasons. Forgotten Friendship was great, and the Equestria Girls shorts are fun, but I want MORE!

Also, I've got a fanfic and I've kind of been putting off writing because I want to incorporate Season 8 into its expansive backstory. The story revolves around what would have happened if Starlight Glimmer had gone missing between S7 and S8, thus keeping her from being able to help her friends, and then resurfaced 25 years later. I want to see what happens in Season 8 and then figure out how Starlight's absence would mess all that up.
