general media Ever been chastised for being a fan of G-rated stuff?

Usually, parents should always only ground their kids for exhibition of age-restricted media, such as movies like Sausage Party and Blade Runner 2049, and video games like Conker's Bad Fur Day.

But, I heard of a 16 or 17 year old guy who was actually chastised for being a fan of MLP. I find this a super unfair thing because his parents just want him to see more harmful stuff rather than anything family-friendly. To be honest, parents should never at all do something like this to their kids no matter what their age.

So in other words, it's right to teach kids a lesson about attempting to see R rated media, but never ever for family-friendly stuff like MLP.

Yes, a lot of the times. The thing is, I just don't really care what people think of me since I'm the type of person who does things for what they like and not one to be peer pressured into stuff.

I have not been chastised for liking G-rated things, that would be rather silly. Why would anyone really waste their times making a fool of themselves over something irrelevant such as what kind of media entertainment someone else enjoys?

I know, right? That's why I feel bad for that poor guy I mentioned earlier.

If anyone chastised me in this regard, I wouldn't give it much thought seeing as I was watching something that appealed to me. Besides, it's none of their business to dictate what I can and cannot do with my time.

I've had a few jokes tossed my way for liking MLP:FiM, but it was all in good humor. Most everyone I know has watched MLP and other children's shows with their children, so there's that.

Not really, I don't have much of a reason to share my interests with people I hardly know. If I wanted to share someone a G-rated thing I enjoyed, I would do that with friends. And if somebody did make fun of me for liking something "for kids", that's their problem.

One of my friends thinks it’s weird that I watch so much Disney. I’m not sure how it’s a problem though, Disney is meant for all ages and it’s filled with classics. Sure, I watch a few T rated things from time to time, but I prefer E rated stuff over anything cause you can’t run into much awkward adult humor in those kinds of films.

No, I've never experienced anything like that. Really, it only happens nowadays with incredibly insecure high school/middle school punks

True, that’s what happened to me at middle school. People made fun of my MLP T-shirt in gym (along with literally anything else I did there). Mostly it was because I was so quiet no one thought I’d say anything back to them.

Yeah, mostly for FiM, but also games that I play, like Pokémon and Animal Crossing. I can play whatever I want, so who cares?

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I've been plenty of times. It's mostly MLP, but also for other things also (Pokémon most particularly).

I don't care that half of what I like is rated G or E ( and the other half is mostly M or R :P). So what I like Pokémon? So what I like MLP? So what I like Mario games? So what I like... anything? Why should I care that someone decides to be an a**hole about it?

There was that time when my mom said that it's time for me to see adult stuff rather than being stuck with childish cartoons and games, but that's before I watched this show

That's just what I was talking about. You should tell mother that some of that "adult stuff" is full of bad language, bad humor, violence, etc. and you don't like it.

Never have been chastised, partly because it's not a big deal.
