What do you fear?

I have an irrational fear towards peanut butter. I dont know why, but I do (ask Hayze).

 

What about you? What do you guys fear?

 

I seriously thought I was the only one that hates peanut butter enough to say that I'm scared of it!

The stuff is gross and I can't stand to be near it. My friends bug me with it all the time.

Good to know that somepony out there shares my feelings towards it.

I also have a fear of being sticky. I tense up and freak out if I have anything sticky on me.

 

And, last but not least... Bugs. Mainly small bugs. Anything small and crawly freaks me out.

The fear of things getting shot towards you, or missiles and projectiles.

 

I guess I was hit with too many balls as a child, but I will cringe or move quickly away is I feel something if going to fly quickly and directly towards me. I know that almost all of the time, they're only balls, but I hate things flying towards me.

An irrational fear of spongey things. Just the way the texture looks, just something about it, creeps me out. I can hold a washing sponge just fine, but looking at it under a microscope? It gives me the willies.

 

Blurry or stretched textures in videogames scare me, too. I always want to look away if the game makes you get close to them.

Here are the things that scare me:

1. Losing DashPony and everyone I care about in a tragic way

2. Phasmatodae (stick bugs) I had one bite me right under my eye when i was in third grade

3. Dark water I can't see in. Lakes and ponds. I can swim in the ocean just fine (I'm weird)

4. Going into public places by myself (I really don't trust strangers at all anymore)

Moths. I can't stand bugs in general, but moths are the worst. They have no control over themselves and they have fur. Bugs should not have fur! They freak me out a lot. and like when they end up touching me I flip out so much. I hate them. I know it's about as irrational of a fear as one can get, but that doesn't help me.

Okay, my worst fear is losing my friends, after some jerk who shall remain nameless who used to be a friend turned on me, I felt like everyone of my friends would turn against me. That didn't turn out to be the case, but I'm still scared of losing my friends.

 

I don't like the dark..I'm also scared of performing on stage, even though I'm a cosplayer, I'm terrified of competing in a cosplay contest...so I don't...I just do it for fun.

 

I have a huge fear of flying, I have to basically take something before the flight that keeps me calm or i have a friend I trust. Heights, forget it, I can't even ride anything that leaves the ground

Personally the biggest fear I have is death. It's not the fact that I'm dead that bothers me, it's where I go that scares me. I know I say I go to church and all that, but to be honest I really don't know if it's true or not. All I have, and really any religious testimony you can find if you dig down deep enough has, is just a hunch that it's real. I could be horribly wrong in my beliefs for all I know, I've had such crazy things happen to me in the past that have made me question whether or not I'm even alive or if the world is actually real. Once I die, though, all I know is that the world as I know it is gone, and I'm scared to find out what happens next.

I think my #1 fear is driving. I'm 30 years old and still haven't driven myself around. Yes, I've drove around the neighborhood before (etc) and even have my license but I HATE doing so and choose not to. I have always been afraid of crashing since I was very little. I'm not sure why. There's no real reason behind it.

We all, one day, were feared or attract by the dark.

 

I'm also afraid of sentiments in generals, and the "little" pains.

It is. In terms of evolution, it was adaptive to avoid the dark since we can't see well in it.

 

Anyways, my fear is of large bodies of water including lakes, oceans and full sized pools. I can deal with pools, but it freaks me out when I look at the deep end from under water.

Basicaly gear of the dark and fear of the deep are the same.

The fear of what you cant see , not the fear of what is dangerous but what might be.

 

Do you manage to keep your eyes open in the water? I had the same fear years ago and keeping my eyes open in a swiming pool kinda cures me.
