IronPuddinG 249 December 8, 2012 Share December 8, 2012 For the love of my life, I cannot get into the main style of Drum and Bass. It just seems too mellow for my tastes. Not to say that I don't like DnB. I absolutely love Pendulum (some don't call them DnB, but I still call them DnB ) and The Prodigy. I grew up on country music, and now I just can't stand the stuff. I guess I always had this subconscious dislike of it (in 6th grade, I would listen to my friend's ipod, which had rap/hip hop on it just to listen to something different). And, of course, I don't much like pop and rap. I don't know why people like it so much. :S Of course, to each his own. ~IrOnPUdDiNg "Dumping someone is like throwing a kitten into a pool of lava." - Day[9] 'I see!' said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw. TailsIsNotAlone 3,697 December 8, 2012 Share December 8, 2012 the only thing of music in the world i've found out i CAN'T get into, physically, is goregrind. while i can tolerate the musical content, because i listen to my share of noisy stuff, i just can't stand the down-pitched growling. physically. if i listen to Last Days of Humanity, for example, and the growling comes in, my bowels feel like they are twisting around, starts hurting, and i need to get to the bathroom immediately. it's the only album from my audio collection i've ever needed to delete from it because of that very reason: it hurts my bowels when listening to it. i am not exaggerating, by the way. Allow me to make an argument that goregrind is a great genre of music and you should listen to it. GGGGHHHRRRRRRRGGGGHHH BLEEEEEEEEUUUGH HHHHAAAAARRRRRLLLL RRRRRBOOZBSSSSTPONEEEEEE *cough* Thank you. I also can't get into rap or dubstep. "Human beings fascinate me Being just the way they are..."
StingeMuffin 244 December 8, 2012 Share December 8, 2012 Country, rap, and pop music are a few that I couldn't get into if my life depended on it, but I think it mostly has to do with the music part of the song, not the singing (the vocals can be awful in any genre, but country and pop stand out the most to me). If the musical portion of a song catches my attention, then I tend to be much more forgiving with the song as a whole, which tends to make me love and hate artists from several music genres. Some metal/rock songs, like "Six - All That Remains" and some Killswitch Engage songs, for example, sound decent and have vocals that aren't too grating. Other songs in those genres seem to miss the boat entirely for me, with screaming lyrics being placed over boring music that doesn't evoke any kind of emotion from me. And the same applies to practically any other type of song that I listen to. I could care less if a song has rap in it, so long as the musical portion is attractive and the lyrics/vocals don't make me want to gouge my ears out. Yourmomsponies 444 December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 For me I'd have to say pop in general. They lost me after "like a g6". although there is the occasional gem. But 90% of the time ill stick to metal or techno. "It's either Blue Cheese with wings or go fuck your mother!"- Joey"CoCo"Diaz "I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. Zygen 6,066 December 10, 2012 Share December 10, 2012 I'm sorry but rap is the only song genre I just can't get into. Everything else I can enjoy on that rare ocation. I don't particularly love dubstep, but I just can't listen to rap at all. Just never liked it much. I think I've listened to some of everything else at one point. Moon Rat 4,773 December 11, 2012 Share December 11, 2012 I honestly cannot get into today's pop music Stuff like Lady GaGa or Katy Perry just really annoys the stuffing out of me And don't even get me started on Justin Beiber <_< 1 Thank you Nas for the sig :3 #HugWoona
FedoraMemes 582 December 11, 2012 Share December 11, 2012 @@Twiliscael, I totally agree with you. I managed to get into them, but I tend to ignore their lyrics and listen to the content of their instrumentals, however, I'm probably going to stop listening to them pretty soon. Dahvie is the most obnoxious person ever. For me, I guess it would be Indie Rock. I respect all the people who like it, but it's just too soft, and doesn't have much appeal towards me in any form whatsoever. Just some guy 1,070 December 11, 2012 Share December 11, 2012 Anything in today's pop music, really. It all sounds the freakin' same to me. For instance, today I overheard a song on the radio and I literally thought that a Justin Beiber song until I overheard some girl mention that it was some song by that new boy band everybody is talking about. One Direction, was it?Still,I can only imagine the look on my face as I heard that and realized that most of today's music sound too similar to each other. Batbrony 16,089 December 11, 2012 Share December 11, 2012 Teenage pop singers, especially any that get their start with Disney these days. Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, heck, even the Jonas Brothers (who I personally have nothing against), all of their music just sounds the same to me, and I find it especially annoying when they start singing about romantic relationships, just because I can't help but think, "You're 16, what do you know about love?!?!" (and yes, I know they're older now, but ya'll know they were singing about it at that age!). Never have liked their music, and never will. 1 "You'll hunt me. You'll condemn me, set the dogs on me. Moon Rat 4,773 December 11, 2012 Share December 11, 2012 I also can't seem to get into most country music For some reason, I feel they are mostly redundant or they sing about getting drunk or some stuff like that and I just don't like stuff like that And then there's the real hardcore heavy metal SOME of it is pretty decent but all I mostly hear is the hateful/vengeful stuff and some illegible screaming, which kinda frightens me 1 Thank you Nas for the sig :3 #HugWoona

WildCard 1,037 December 14, 2012 Share December 14, 2012 (edited) I can't really get into the heavier Metal bands. The growling and shouting kills it for me. I've seen a lot of such bands on festivals but I couldn't get into it.On the other hand I like melodic metal and hard rock(like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, DIsturbed) a lot. Another genre I can't get into is those minimalistic techno repetative elevator music. I don't know the name of that genre, but it sounds boring xD Edited December 14, 2012 by Wildcard OC was made by Princess Ariona.
