How open are you about ponies?

Tiaaaaa

Well, I just started watching a few days ago, but I've really only told my brother and sister so far. But I don't plan on it being something I hide even if I am a male. It's easier to make friends who will actually accept you if you're honest to yourself and them. That's the way I see it, anyway. :D

Very open actually. My family already knew i was a big cartoon fan so it wasn't too hard for them to understand I liked watching MLP:FiM. I'm thankful that my family understands and supports me in this matter.

I'd be fine with displaying I'm a Brony. I just don't have any money to purchase merchandise. xD Sometime I want to get a Princess Luna shirt. I could probably just make myself one on Vista Print.

good, i thought i was the only one who did this lol. i love driving around with some dubtrot blaring, getting weird looks from people from all the bass and some squeaky voice singing about making cupcakes.

I would blast music wherever I went...If my parents let me bring my tablet.  <_< . I love getting in the car and blasting the brony music in the car. It's what I live for.

I am fairly open with being a brony, i don't go walking around school yelling I LOVE PONIES, but i will admit to it if it goes through convo. Being a brony is nothing to be ashamed about. its like being ashamed of your sexuality. u like something for how it is not what others think of it. (most of the time) so i am 80% open i'e bet.

Of course, I don't go shouting down the hall either.  ^_^ . I'm a brony, not a missionary. I'm not a "sexy and I know it" brony, if you know what I mean. I agree that what you like is whatever you think about it, not what the general audience thinks.

I wasn't really that open at the beginning, and i'm still not that open. Only my grandma, my mom and my best friend. I used to watch it with headphones when people were on the loose around the house, but now i watch it every time.

Nobody in my class knows, just my buddy, because people tend to be cruel about it.

Same. I was HIDING EVERY SINGLE sign that I was a brony, and it worked...until my sister turned on my computer. Everyone knows I'm a brony, but only a few really critisize me, but they are not effective.

Kinda funny that my parents don't really know about my bronydom but my friends can't shut me up about ponies. I guess I'm kind of afraid my parents might think I'm gay or something

O...M...G.... I thought my parents were blind. I was afraid of being criticized by my family at first. When they found out, they basically forgot who I was and got out the anti-brony arsenal. Eventually, I won, but I won because all this led up to an argument about "equality" and "respect" when they weren't respecting my interests. It was ironic, really.  ^_^

Super open. Shirts, swag, attempting to share with each of my non brony friends, very very very open. I also work in a toy store and attempt to talk about and educate customers on the phenomena!

I wish I had shirts...but I have wallets I made, so that kind of counts as "swag." Quite ironically, I have met a lot of bronies and pegasisters BECAUSE they saw my wallets.

I only say I'm a brony if other people say they are, too. I don't want to hide that I'm a brony, but I'm too scared to tell anyone. :(  I'm thinking of getting a t-shirt soon, though. Anyone know how to help me to be more confident? I'm not a naturally confident person. :/

Why wait? What's the worst that can happen? Don't say that you're a brony directly. Instead, use a reference, like "That was 20% cooler", or "This is THE WORST POSSIBLE THING!". It's corny, but it works for me.

Kinda open about it, but i don't bring it into conversation unless someone asks about it. The other day, my mom questioned who had recorded my little pony on our tv. I didn't say anything other than for her not to delete it. and the other day i was watching a video that had the word brony in the title. my mom asked what a brony is, and i just flat out ignored her, cause i didn't feel like explaining it to her. Also, i got a rarity sitting near my desktop. My sister has a friend who likes MLP and now since she's noticed that i like it too, she's considering watching it :D HELL YEAHHHH PEGASISTERS

i just wish that more of my friends liked it :( they know it exists but they don't watch it.

of course, i'm also a girl, so its a little bit easier for me to be open about pony.

I generally start conversations about ponies now  . Yeah, my parents COMPLETELY questioned the show. I said "Don't close the tabbb!!!" when she saw it. It took my mom a REALLY long time for her to understand what a brony was. Ya gotta love them pegasisters....especially them smexy ones. I kid, I kid.  ^_^

Very open actually. My family already knew i was a big cartoon fan so it wasn't too hard for them to understand I liked watching MLP:FiM. I'm thankful that my family understands and supports me in this matter.

Man, you are one of the lucky ones. my parents weren't as considerate as your parents at first, but they are starting to approve if the show.

I'd say I'm moderately open. I won't go blurting out "PONIES FOREVER" everywhere I go, just having an avatar or making a casual, obscure reference or something is fine.

Sadly, I don't have any merchandise, and I'm not looking to buy any too soon, so besides lurking the toy aisles in stores, I've got next to no way of proudly displaying my bronydom IRL.  -_-

I'm not as closed up as some bronies are. I guess being a pegasister makes it easier. More power to the guys, though!  :D

If anybody asks I'll happily tell them, but I don't go advertising it. Same as I don't go around advertising that I wear shoes or play video games, if it comes up, I'll talk for hours, but if not, no harm done.

Well, i am not open at all, the maximum i did was make (and use) an emblem of derpy in CoD, and my friends already judged me for this, but i still use it and they are already accostumed to it, but i don't want to imagine what could happen if i tell them that i watch MLP.

I can't say that I've been all the open about it... then again I was telling a good friend of mine, and even showed her the first episode. She liked it and we even made our "pony selves" together. She's just one of those friends I feel generally comfortable with telling her about the things that I like and am into. Other friends not as much.

any time some one brings up Rainbow Dash, I instantly say, "I tap that"

oh wait, is that being to opened?

bad jokes aside ever one knows. and the cool thing is at lest for me, no body cares. I officially use.. big intake of air, and then epically say in the quietest voice I have, Yay, for a sarcastic effect for every achievement some one announces. lol

Photo Finish,that's her name.

Makin' every-pony pretty is her number one game.

She do what she do, to make you more than you.

No-pony gonna care if what we share is true.

Cause lies are beautiful, the truth is not.

Come on little mare, you better shake that plot.

You know that's what they really all came to see.

I'm moving foward with that, slowly but surely! ^^ I was always super shy and nervous with admitting that I loved these ponies at first, especially because of my 'usual' taste and interests being so different but after having met so many awesome bronies, I'm actually feeling absolutely thrilled and not so scared about admitting to the fact and actually being proud that I love the show and it's characters!

I've actually told some already how big a fan I was becoming or already am and just by doing that, it's gotten much easier! However, I haven't done things such as walk out with a pony accessory, shirt, or any merchandise...yet.  :D But it's on my list of must-do things!

That being said, I'd say I'm moderately open.

I sure am, and it feels great to not have to hide it!

It also helps with the mares. ^_^

But of course, I get the obvious insults(You probably should know),but it's all overshadowed by the fun I have with my brony-friends and the conversations it sparks!

What about you guys, are you open about it?

I'm in the middle. If it comes up in conversation then I'll talk about it, but I don't shove it in anyone's face either. I have a Rainbow Dash wallpaper on my phone that a few people have noticed.

I will say this, once I start wearing the Sonic Rainboom shirt that I'm getting for Christmas it will be pretty obvious :)

Yeah, I'm pretty open about being a brony. I have merch which I wear often. I wear my Derpy hoodie the majority of days a week (it's the comfiest hoodie I've ever had!).

I don't do it to spam people, I just do, as the SoCo commercials go, "Whatever's comfortable." IMO it's no different than people wearing sports gear or other apparel that displays someone's interests. I like MLP, therefore, I have gear to represent that interest. Simple as that.

Yeah, I'm completely open about it. I walk around with my pony drawings so I can work on them whenever I get the chance. People don't seem to care about MLP because they're a bit scared because I get very mad, very fast and those who have been stupid enough to insult me haven't insulted me about MLP, but on my music taste.

I don't hide it, I wear the T-shirts, and I wear the sock cap.  It feels great not to have to have it out there.  Though my friends recently told me they were embarrassed for me.  Whatever.

I've ran around, spreading the good news just after I finished watching my first MLP marathon. Frankly, I never really cared what people think about me, but if this bothers them, then I actually want to find out.

People treat MLP in such a weird way. It's not like it's some dirty, dark and perversed secret.

Since i'm no longer in school this question no longer applies to me, however i don't hide the fact that i'm a brony.  I have no need to hide it. i'm proud to be me.  and no one else  can tell me not to be a brony except for myself.

I just did an English presentation about My Little Pony last Thursday, so I suppose that would constitute as such. However, I don't disclose this information unless someone asks me for it. Flaunting things around passionately isn't really my thing, though pride is.

That reminds me of the other day when we were supposed to write about our family's Christmas traditions and I made the entire thing about Hearth's Warming.

I spend pretty much all my time between classes on the forums, so it's inevitable that people notice and I don't really care when they do. If they don't like it it's there problem. I will acknowledge other bronies when I see them, and I have no problem taliking about mlp.

My locker is full of Pinkie and Trixie, I think I've worn a pony shirt on every Civie's day I've attended this year and last year, and of course, references. I do a good Trixie impression (I would hope. It took so long to be able to do her voice) and I dressed as her for Halloween. And I draw ponies instead of doing work. Yet some how no one seems to notice. >.< (I've never met a Brony at my school, but that may be me not talking to anyone ever)

So yea, I'm pretty open about it. :P
