Anyone find this really messed up?

I was walking around in Hot Topic (A few days after mom knew I was a Brony, had to explain stuff blah, blah, blah) an there was the Brony section. I looked for a Dr.Hooves shirt ,or a Pinkie Pie shirt, and found TONS. But guess what? Here where the sizes: Small, small, small, small, small XXL, XXXL XL, XL,XXL, XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XL,XXXL,XL,XL.............. Are they assuming that Bronies are fat? I am a medium, and I am 5'9 13 year old... My Mother had to shrink it so much, but I even had to pull it back to make me look like I'm not wearing a rag.....

XL isn't actually that big, especially if you like your clothes baggy. I'm 5ft 4in, 200 lbs and it's what I wear. Granted I could fit into a large and I'm not exactly skinny, but still.

I guess "short stubby Irishmen" genes will do that.

Not to be offensive to the original topic or anything of the sort, but the first thing that came to my mind after reading this post was maybe they stock the shirts in all sizes but they only had a mass supply of the smalls and extra larges because the medium and large sizes are probably their primary sellers out of all the shirt sizes.

I doubt they are sending some type of message that all bronies are obese or anorexic, I just personally think the medium and large shirt sizes were missing because those are their top sellers because usually the average sizes are large and medium. Some cases my state otherwise but this is just my opinion on the matter, but it's really just one six half dosen of the other when it comes down to it. I just based this information on what I usually find when buying shoes, shirts, jeans, etc. etc. usually the more in-between sizes are the ones which seem to sell faster.

Maybe they just sold out of the small, medium, and large t-shirts? I don't think they're trying to insult anybody.

Why would they make fun of bronies when they're selling products in an effort to get their money?

Not everyone is a XL. They probably ran out of the medium and larges because that's what the majority of people are.

I for one buy XL or XXL despite the fact that I'm usually a small, because I love huge clothes :P

This right here is what I found to be the case.. When i went to buy my Derpy is best pony t shirt, i got the last medium shirt because they were selling so well and they almost ran out. The cahier (Noticing that we were buying a bit of brony merchandise) commented aying that Evrything Pony in their store was selling a lot!

Dimitri isn't fat....he's built like a bear...STRONG AND MUSCULAR AS ENGELS MIXED WITH ZEUS!!

I'm 6"8 and like 245 pounds. Most of it muscle....no fat. If I was fat I'd be ashamed to call myself a mountain man Russian. Living out here in Alaska really makes a man stronger. So sometimes I need to wear XL or L depending on the company that makes the shirt.

I buy all my pony shirts at hot topic, and most of the time they dont have the right size. You can order them online and have them ship to the store for only $1 extra in any size. You could just do that.

Signature? Naw. Thats too mane stream.

>implying only fat people wear XL

-_-;

And yeah, it depends on the company too. a L at one company isn't alway the same as a L at another.

Plus, its hot topic. having most of the clients going baggy doesn't shock me.

I suppose I should feel insulted. Hold on while I get my Rarity clip.

Did that suffice? :P

In all seriousness I'm not that concerned. Yes it is kind of dickish of them but maybe they had had a bunch of sales of the non listed sizes that month. That is also why I prefer to shop online. ;)

Yeah, I think they just sold out. I don't think they were trying to insult their customers. We're probably one of their prime sources of income.

That's what I dislike about clothes shopping. It's like "omg i love this thing! noooooo nothing is in my size. Why discord?! Whyyyyyyyy!?"

THIS. OH DEAR CELESTIA THIS! Everything is too damn big even here in the Philippines! I cant find a decent clothe that would not make me look all saggy!

There were a lot of mediums when I got my Pinkie Pie shirt. Maybe it's just an issue they have on the guys' side. But the lack of mediums probably is just really that they're sold out.

Not really insulted, can't say for sure if any of those sizes would fit me. I'm about 6' 0" and 190 lb.'s, but I haven't been to a Hot Topic in years, so I can't really envision how large, relatively speaking, their XL's on up are. At the very worst, if that really is all that they're stocking their brony sections with, then all I'd say is that it's simply a very poorly thought out business strategy.

Mediums usually sell fasdter or maybe they just didnt have as many in stock. I don't think keeping extended sizes around means they think bronies are not in shape or have a little extra weight on them, they carry those sizes in all their shirts.

I have a few old Invader Zim shirts from HT in medium, gotta say they are rather tight. Most of their stuff is fitted, unless things have changed since I've not been in one for years, so I'd go a size or two larger unless you prefer the fitted feel. But mediums and larges are usually just sold out since those are the most common sizes, especially in HT I think.
