technology REALLY old stuff you have that still works?

For example, I have a big heavy dinosaur of a TV that still works perfectly. It's so old it has no A/V connections, only an RF input for an antenna. We bought it when I was a kid and I took it with me when I moved out of the house.

Another thing: I have a slim PlayStation 2 I bought in 2005. Quite old for a disc-based video game system...and it still works. I have played so many movies on that thing over 7 years that the DVD-ROM should have burned out a long time ago, but it's still going. It's like an immortal PS2.

Don't get me started on the one I bought used in 2003 that my little brother still plays.

I have a computer that my family bought in the early 2000s and it still works

I have a PS1 and a SEGA Genesis that both still work, along with two PS2s that are about seven years old each

I still own the VCR I had in 1996

I guess, this doesn't fit the theme of technology, but I also own a lot of books that were printed in the 1800s that are still in decent shape.

I still have my Pokemon Ruby Special Edition Gameboy Advance SP. You can still see the Groudon outline on it and it works like its still new. There are few scratch marks on it but that's about it. All of my Gameboy Advance and Colour games still work on it and I still have the charger.

I still use it to be play Pokemon Ruby, I don't bother with my DS which itself is the original DS from 2005 and still runs well.

Here some people still use cassette players and I've got one.

I've got a really old wooden radio too that looks like ones from movies

Oh, yeah, I also have one of those. My grandma gave it to me.

And I also remembered another thing. I still have my original Gameboy Colorfrom when I was a kid, as well as my Gameboy Advanced

I think my original gameboy should still work if I can find it, I could just buy or create the spare parts if it doesn't.It really hurts the eye to play those back then esp when you're not under direct sunlight.

I actually take that off google coz I'm too lazy to take a picture and upload it but cassette players are still common here and music stores still sell cassette tapes at around $0.50 USD each I think so they're a lot cheaper than buying cds and dvs for music.

They got beatles and those old american jingles too for cassette tapes at music stores down here if that's the kind of music you mean.

Actually a fair amount of old electronics I own still work. My PS2 is from 2004 and still works just fine.

My Gameboy (probably from the mid 90's) works just fine. As do all of my handhelds except for my GBA SP and DS, but they were broken accidentally and technically run just fine... It's just that their screens have a large crack in the display.

My SNES, N64, and GCN (from 2003, not the original one I had) all work just fine.

My PC from 2004 would run if I plugged it back in and turned it on.

I don't believe any of the TV's I've had ever broke.

A Kodak camera from 1960 similar to this one

A 1920 safe that is awesome to have, I want to restore it and maybe make it a drik fridge the paint is faded but the mechanisms still work.

A 1890 Mexican army sword, I keep it  sharp so I think yoy can say it still "works"

A few of my old game systems still work such as my Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Pocket, N64 and playstation. It's kind of funny that the systems that are getting close to being 20 years old are still running great yet I've been through two Xbox 360s

Check me out! No, seriously, check me out.

I still have the snes that my dad got in 1991. It still works perfectly and the plastic hasn't yellowed. It looks brand new.

I'm surprised by this. It's survived being in a dark, moldy, moist-aired basement. I found it in 2005 and have been playing it ever since.

Is that the console with the original super mario bros? what games do you play on it?

Everything made pre 1970 seems to be a whole lot more durable than today's cheap plastic crap.

I have the second generation of it.

SNES.jpg

I have Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Super Castlevania IV, and Super Star Wars.

I have an nex (A 2010 remade console of the original nes, which can play both nes and famicom games.) which I have a ton of games for.

It does suck that they don't build anything to last anymore.

I have a couple things, like my Sega Genesisisis---- I have both a model 1 and 2 Genesis,  but I don't have the Power cord for the model 2.

That said, I still have an N64, a Dreamcast, and a Zenith talking VCR, which still gets regular use. I also have an early Wacom tablet that needs a Serial port to work, My current computer doesn't have one, but I still hold on to it. There's probably more stuff, but its all in the closet right now.

I have a wood-grain Atari 2600(I don't recall if it's a 4-switch or a 6, I haven't had it out in a few months). I also have a Sears Talking Computron in the box, from 1986.

I also have a big-old record player that's like the size of a large DJ table, it's gotta be from like the 50s-60s.

Also, I actually have a "toaster" NES that starts on a dime without playing around with the cartridge slot.

I have numerous other old games too.

Oh god, edit the post, everything goes insane! Anyway, time for a rewrite...

The IBM Model M, the best keyboard I've ever owned. It was produced in the early 90's and people are still using these things. My last keyboard barely lasted me 4 years before the "E" key stopped working 100%. This thing is showing signs of yellowing, but don't all old plastic things?

There actually is a way to bleach it back if I wanted to as well, but thats a task for another day.

Also, my VCR still works and runs all my old pokemon tapes. My parents were going to throw it away a long time ago, but I managed to save it from the dump.

Well let's see, my old gameboy advanced SP still works (I still play it to this day actually). I also still have my old playstation and playstation 2 working (although they've been in my closet collecting dust for the past 10 years). Oh yea one last thing, my parents are still working, man those things are freaking primordial, I'm surprised they still work even to this day.

I have a shotgun that dates around the 1930-40s, (maybe earleir) it still works. As well as a .22 from the 70s that also still works.

Now I also have a SNES, N64, Playstation, PS2, NGC.

Have a Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket (actually got for $15/20 in elementary when they were new bought from fellow student we thought ~15 was a lot that age), Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy SP. Nintendo DS(1st gen)

Still have all my Gameshark stuff too, still works also.

My Mom owns a really old Sewing Machine (from the 40s) and a blender from the 70s that still works (we don't use it that often).

I have a 1986 Sony Walkman that is enjoyable to use every once in a while, a cell phone from the mid 90s to early 2000s, a 10 year old portable CD player, a PS2, and until last year, a 10 year old laptop and desktop, both met their official fates as I got a new PC.
