What's the worst enemy of Bronies?

Not all churches are against gay marriage.  It was said that conservatives won't care about what doesn't affect them and I was pointing out that this was untrue.  I also am not saying it is any different than churches but this isn't a religious discusion.  Churches get involved in all kinds of moral issues and some are ok with gay marriage and anti-abortion while others are the opposite and some even say that MLP is satanic.  None of this is the point, the point is that people all the time get worked up over things that don't harm them or anyone else.  It is a common thing for people to force their personal views on others, liberal or conservative.

 I don't want to be mean or anything , but when did a church say that MLP was satanic? That makes no sense whatsoever, and I think you just made it up.  <_<

Bronies have a way of finding enemies where there are none. Differences of opinions are sometimes seen as challenges. Some people take another's apathy towards a character or episode as hatred of it or as a personal insult. Bronies also employ the "no true Scotsman" fallacy more than any other fanbase I've ever encountered, possibly more than all of them combined. Some bronies require that you have a certain level of investment in the show and/or fandom, or hold certain fanfics or fan music as close to your heart as anything canon; if you don't, you're a traitor or a poser. The average brony faces almost much persecution within the fandom as without it, depending on the places he frequents.

 

Anyone who makes any show, game, fanbase, or movement the entirety of their lives will eventually find their biggest enemies at home, and the "normal" people involved are the worst off because they weren't looking to prove anything.

 

Those who hate the show and wholeheartedly hate bronies for nothing more than the fact that we're bronies aren't my enemies. Inconsiderate bronies who want to cement their opinions as the only acceptable viewpoints within the fandom aren't my enemies. I speak my mind, have my fun, and that's the end of it. No grudges. Should someone decide to actually take some kind of action based on their hate, such as attacking a brony website or physically assaulting me, then I would consider them an enemy, but only until the situation is resolved. People who only try to act hard with a keyboard are nothing to be concerned about.

Over the past 2 years I have filed more than 10 Better Business Bureau complaints against Hasbro over their unethical business practices. Every single on of these have been ignored by them. Once again this is because they do not recognize me as existing since I am a person that owns a business and not a corporation.

The Better Business Bureau is a sham. They've done some good here and there, but it's hard to call it more than coincidence when getting an "A" rating from them is as simple as paying dues.

 

Therefore, our enemies are pokemon. Because Tumblr said so. Case closed.

No, there are certainly churches that say that.  I of course wouldn't attend one.  I did once upon a time.  The New Testament Christian Church I can guarantee you would call MLP satanic.  They also taught that it Women were not allowed to get hair cuts and that you were not allowed to hang out with people that did not go to church.  There are a lot of different churches, some good, some bad, some ok.  They are the same churches that called Harry Potter satanic.  Once again I don't see why you feel the need to turn this topic into a discussion about churches.  I never brought that up but now you are slamming on me about it.  I won't respond to further derailment after this.

I think that bronies' worst enemy are high expections towards the show itself.

It has given awesome moments, but sometimes I feel that I expect too much of it. Especially when seasons are cut in half and the producers don't have enough time to properly deal with themes.

 

I.e: Discord's conversion. And probably the whole Princess Twilicorn.

Honestly. I at least hope to see Twilight crash-landing, flying into walls, and freaking out about not being able to fly straight. And if she gets a power boost to her magic, I want to see spells going out of control, maybe crushing thing she's trying to hold with her telekinesis.

While I would say that our greatest enemy is the vocal anti-brony community, I agree to you to an extent about conservatives being dangerous to us.  Pretty much every single anti-brony I've scrapped with is a gun nut, or bible thumper whose best argument is that I'm 'gay'.

Edit: I don't fundamentally dislike conservatives.  I dislike the types I listed - gun nuts and bible thumpers who immediately assume I'm gay and say so.

As for your knocking against Christians/Conservatives. That is really unfair. I'm a Christian, and I'm also a Libertarian (fiscally conservative and socially liberal; basically). Not all Christians are automatically in the "Christian Right", and not all are ignorant either. I'm, frankly, offended that you would stereotype in that way!

I think the greatest threat to Bronies is Hasbro.  Not because they hate us, because of course they, as a corporation, are incapable of love or hate and only feel greed.   On top of this is the intellectual property legal concepts that nobody else can do anything related to what a large corporation like Hasbro is making money from.  It is the current concept of a corporation having more rights than people.  The current standard business concept of aggressively "protecting" intellectual property rights through legal threats and lawsuits could force an end to this.  Hasbro has a long history of ruining things yet still managing to make tons of money while pissing people off.
