Would you leave the fandom over a fan-made video?

No, and anyone who does is a poster child for an over-reactive individual. Not only is this a one-of-a-kind fanbase you won't be finding elsewhere, but leaving over fanon content is borderline insane.

No!! Fan made videos just make me love the show even more! If its good, then I rejoice in the amazing things that Bronies can create from the show, if its bad, I just go back to an original episode and be reminded of its awesomeness.

Fandom-made things never interact with the actual show/comic/game so it doesn't matter, it's just the creator's own version of MLP. It's so stupid to see someone leave because of a silly fan-made thing. Some fan-made things are good, some bad, but either way has it changed the show in any way? No. Remember, it's not canon.....

 

 

I would never ever leave, because that would be so stupid...leaving this wonderful show just because some guy create a video I happen to hate? No. Way! It just doesn't make any sense. People create spoofs, parodies, and stories of all kinds, believe me, if there's a fandom, there's gonna be some creations along with it. It's not bad, it's just the creators expressing their talents to use in the show. I don't let fan-made things overrun the actual show.

Maybe double rainboom wasn't the best episode, but after all it's fanmade and for that it's pretty good!

 

And even if the series would become bad and every brony would change into idiots (wich is highly unlikely) I still wouldn't leave the fandom I would just watch the old episodes over and over and over again

I personally liked Double Rainboom.  Not for its story (which obviously didn't have one) but for the hilarity, hidden jokes and decent animation.

There's no way I'd leave the fandom just because of Double Rainboom or another fan-made video like it. I can hardly believe that people are actually threatening to just because they didn't like it! I mean.... geez! One video isn't something to flip out over like that.

I wasn't that much of a fan of Double Rainboom I thought it was a bit over hyped, Dont get me wrong it was watchable, But a bit meh. But  even if it had been an official episode why would you leave the fandom over it, People say they are leaving all the time over the littlest things. Alicorn twilight leave the fandom, Things going wrong at the convention you are attending leave the fandom, Rainbow dash dose litereally anything and they leave the fandom. Frankly if someone says they are leaving the fandom I only have one thing to say to them. Good bye!

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me in the least. If you ever want to see any group of people at their stupidest, just hang out on their associated 4chan board for a few minutes. People leaving the fandom because they were disappointed by a fan-made video is just something you should expect from a place like that.

Like everything else I like its more than what's going on currently or what people make of it.

Fans have the right to express their fandom anyway they see fit and I'd never leave because I don't like the way they're a fan of what they like.

That is hands down the lamest excuse to leave the fandom.

 

I personally haven't seen it yet, but I will soon, I already saw a whole bunch of hate and critisism over it.

Overall, you can't quit a fandom just cause of  a fan made video, otherwise, this fandom would result into dust!

I did see Sonic Rainboom, and I rather liked it. The PPG crossover was pretty cool, and the humour was good. I don't know why somebody would leave the fandom over it, but I find it easy to believe.

I think people are channeling Rarity a little too much as this THIS IS THE WORST POSSIBLE THING mentality is quite cartoonish (but likewise opening a thread on the subject is just as reactionary). Whether its Derpygate, Twilicorn venting, or youtube comments people just need to take chill pills in this community and stop acting like children.

No, i would never leave the fandom because of fan animations, art, fan fics, etc. disappointing me. I try not to elevate fan works to the level of an actual episode. That way i dont feel disappointed, i either dont like it (double rainboom), or it impresses me (Snowdrop). The only thing that would make me leave is if the episodes became terrible and the entire fandom lost its creativity (which we all know is not going to happen).

Hell no. That's pretty stupid if you ask me, just leaving the fandom over a fan made video. Come on, its not even made by Hasbro itself, nor the show writers. Just a few college students from Savannah.
