technology Have you ever dropped your mobile device?

I seem to be in the minority. I have never dropped my cell phone or ipod.

EVHAR.

I'm a naturally careful guy... I happen to never have broken any bones either. Once I dropped a bowl of boiling oatmeal, though. With my super reflexes, I actually caught it in midair. But the bowl had turned over in midair, and I burned my hand really bad. /End random pointless story

I've dropped my cellphone so many times that I have lost count.

One time I was driving to the store and I had it on my lap. When I got there, I had completely forgot that it was on my lap and it ended up falling on the ground as soon as I was exiting the vehicle.

Another time I dropped it was in my own room when I was talking to my dad. I had tripped on my own shoelace and the phone ended up being thrown at the wall.

The only thing I ever drop is my phone and even then it never breaks. I don't know what it's made out of but it's really awesome. My brother actually dripped my 1500 dollar camera and broke a piece off of it once, and then he threw it thinking it wouldn't work. It luckily was salvageable, but on the inside I would've been glad if it broke cause I could have just replaced it with a cheaper (but better) Dslr. I have a really good reputation with electronic devices, but my brother can't seem to go a day without losing his phone.

A few times I had dropped my previous ones:

A galaxy S2 about 3 times, and an Apple 3GS  I think once. The S2 really kept itself working, and it only kindv'e broke the last time. But the 3GS broke almost entirely. The final blow was IOs6. I couldn't use my phone again after that bucking junk.

Who hasn't? I've dropped all my old phones and my current one plenty of times. Even down a flight of stairs once, it fell through one of the stair gaps, in an apartment complex. But all my phones have had cases so no big damage. My Android was pretty tough but I'm extra careful around my iPhone. My mom would KILL me if I ever dropped it in front of her!

NO

Don't own a cell

My ipod (classic/Nano) never seen the ground,
My Tablet(s) never seen the ground.
My laptop has never seen the ground..

Never cracked a screen in my life.

I hardly ever drop any thing to be honest.

I'm one of those people who hasn't had a broken screen on my smartphone. (Yet.)

But I did drop my iPhone a few times, but luckily, I got protective things for it, and when it normally falls, it drops on the backside, where it's safe.

I guess I'm more careful about my things than most people I know. I am very clumsy though, so it's inevitable either way.

All the time. I try to take care of my electornics, but they're usually so small and slippery that I loose my grip at one point or another throughout the day.

So far though I've been lucky in that out of all the times I've dropped something, the only damage that has ever been suffered was a tiny dent in the corner of one of my devices - no broken screens or nonworking components, just minor cosmetic damage.

I've dropped my phone several times and it never broke, (Thats why I like older phones, they're freakin' bricks!) I've dropped my Zune on several occasions (Okay, I'm a bit clumsy) and the screen has held up pretty well, only has a small crack on it.

I've dropped my phone plenty of times. On the floor, in a car. On my face.

Heck, I've thrown the thing forcefully against the ground.

It's in an otterbox though, so it's perfectly fine. I did manage to break part of t case though

Have i NOT dropped my mobile before? I own a LG, and that tactile brick can surely withstand a lot of pain. I have let it fall around 10 or 11 times since i have it (two years now,) and i friggin love it! But no, it's screen hasn't broke...for now...

Oh, I've dropped many things before... The remote, the bass, the fork, but I dropped my cellphone the most. At least water was never involved. At any case, I still want to impermeabilize(?) my phone using this:

  • 1 month later...

Many times. Once upon a time I had an old brick of a Nokia phone from before the days of smartphones. All that ever happened to that thing was the battery cover would pop off. It was indestructible, though it had obviously been through a lot. Both my Droid X and Galaxy S3 have only survived thanks to rubber cases. Why some people carry their phones around without any form of protective covering, I have no idea.

BAHAHAHAHAHA oh, you have no idea how many times i have! i think i have dropped my phone at least a hundred times. sometimes the back case even comes off and the battery falls out! (it's a flip phone) ...well, actually that's most of the time. but then again, i kinda toss my phone a lot. so that's probably why.

Yes, yes I have in matter of fact just two days ago and the screen finally cracked. I have dropped my LG Double Play many times in the past, but this time, it didn't survive an asphalt street. it was time for an upgrade anyway.

All the Time. Luckily I have a Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro. It's essentially a Galaxy S3, in a smaller yet WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY more durable "body", for lack of a better term. I've had it fall out of my pockets over BMX jumps, and it has nearly no damage (Some minor scratches on the plastic on the side of the phone)

iPad, only once. A corner got a little bent but nothing too serious.

DS lite, not yet.

DSi, about 2 times. The case faced the consequences and broke, however.

3DS, only one time. No damage.

My horrible phone, more than I can think of. Heck, I've even thrown it to the ground on purpose more than once.

Droid Razr Maxx HD

I drop it all the time, obviously not on purpose and I try to take care of it, but, it gets dropped.  Thank God for the Otterbox is all I can say, not a ding, scratch, crack, or anything.

Are you kidding, sometimes when I get bored, I tend to enjoy just casually tossing and flipping my phone around, and eventually I fail to catch it lol. Then epic fail. Luckily my phone isn't easily to break. :3

Whenever anything of mine fall to the floor, especially my iPhone, my dad is always ready to kill me. I just simply say "Nothing lasts forever".

Oh dude, I'd get ready to kill you too.  No offense but it's a completely different ballgame when you start buying this stuff with your own money, and completely different from that when you buy it for somebody else.  You're right, nothing lasts forever but that's not exactly a good attitude to have towards something like this.
