Granny Smith vs. Granny Smith

Alright I've seen other threads like this, so my conclusion was to fall in and conform by picking one of the easiest comparisons possible, a member of the apple family. You know the drill:

 

Granny Smith(The Apple): This type of apple doesn't seem that great to me actually. I'm more of a Red Delicious person.

 

Granny Smith(Pony): What can I say, she is  awesome. Hell she played a major role in founding Ponyville, I love lore. 

 

Winner: Granny Smith(Pony)

Granny Smith the pony is so underrated. I'm going to take a post of mine from when I previously stated she was underrated; she's that kind, grandmotherly figure that is a great constituent of the family side of things. I thought Family Appreciation Day was really lovely, but not many of us remember it. She's a loving family member with greatly under-appreciated comedy value  She's the reminder of that one bananas member of your family that gets into antics, maybe dancing down the street or suddenly donning a bunny suit:

 

 

I also like how she just doesn't care. Same reason I love Soarin' - she's perfectly happy with doing whatever seems pleasing to her at the time, and the fact that she doesn't realise any embarrassment she causes fellow family members... is actually kinda sweet! 

 

Plus, she looked surprisingly cute in her flashback to her teen years (still has nothing on Pinkie :3)

I'd say the pony. I've actually never tried Granny Smith apples but I have tried Red Delicious and Fuji. I don't think they're all that good in opinion though.

Granny Smith (the pony) is awesome. Doesn't care what others think, still spry for her age, cares for her family, silly as kvelt. What's not to like?  Also cute when she was young. In fact here's a theme song.

The apple itself is tasty, so I'd go with the apple. However, if it was young pony Granny Smith, I'd gladly go with the pony.

Granny smith the apple isn't really my type of apple, i'd rather red delicious or something.

 

Granny smith the pony is actually a pretty cool character, I find her funny at times actually, and shes also got an interesting part of the backstory tied to her.

 

So i'd say shes a pretty cool character, kinda more under rated, but definitely cool.

I honestly think she may be one of the most underrated characters in the show. She's witty, funny, the epitome of all grandmothers (though she still ain't got nothing on mine; Love you Gammy!), and she's one of the most entertaining to watch. She's smart, silly, childish, and yet intimidating, and she's just an amazing character.

I love the both of them very much, but I'd say the apple. Granny smith apples are my favourite type of apple, and they taste so amazingly amazing.

 

I love the pony a lot, too. She's just...Awesome. I'd love to have her as a grandmother. (If mine wasn't  so awesome most of the time.) She's just....Cool. I love her design and colours, too. And when she was a filly, she was...Very, very pretty. Heck, she still is.

I could probably shove my grandmother down a stairs with little consequence (barring conscience, of course), but if she asks me to jump, I ask how high.

By virtue of her position within the Apple Family she commands a great deal of awesomeness by inheritance.

I like Granny Smith, but I could eat Granny Smith Apples for a long time without getting sick of them, which I have done before, but Granny Smith, the character, I kinda get irritated with her after a while. She can be a little too grating on my nerves, sometimes.

Granny Smith the pony. I could go into why she is my choice, but that is way too easy. Instead, I shall use this picture to justify my choice on why she is the winner in my eyes. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. How can you say no to this?

As much as I love the delicious apple, I would have to say I love Granny Smith. She is so kind, wise, and pretty crazy at times but she is like a very sweet grandmother in the family.

Granny smith is my favorite kind of apple, but I've gotta side with granny smith the pony. I mean, she founded ponyville,,and I'm pretty sure apples made her immortal. (And also never have to see a doctor.)

As much as I respect and admire the Granny Smith pony from the show, especially on the fact that she founded all of ponyville and started the whole farming business and was in fact a cute mare when she was young...I regretfully would have to choose the Apple! 

 

I can't help it! Granny Smith Apples are just so dang delicious. They're my favorite kind of apple and I've been eating them all my life. It's too hard for me to say no.

:okiedokielokie: Hmmm... on the one hand Granny Smith is whacky, zany, and all around delightful.  On the other hand, I cannot eat her.  I can eat Granny Smith apples, and they are delicious.

 

 

On principle I usually never pick anything over food, but... I'm gonna have to go with Granny Smith on this one.  She's just too fun of a character, plus she gets bonus points for being an interesting and well rounded elderly character on a kids show, which is increasingly rare these days.  Still, that's not to say that Granny Smith apples aren't delicious, nutritious, and scrumdilyicious!!!  :comeatus:
