Male Pony in Season 4?

I am fine with the main- I mean mane characters in the show so far. But who else wants a male pony that has more information than Dr. Whooves and says more the "eeyep" and "eenope". Not saying this pony would be a main character but still. Or this might just be stupid in general, I'm tired.

I want to see Spike find a spell to turn himself into a male pony, so that he can trick Rarity into going on a date with him.

 

Rarity will seem to be fooled - but really won't be, and will reveal as much near the end.

 

Spike will decide to switch back to himself (not an easy decision for him), but will require that the spell be broken by some magic from Rarity. Unfortunately, she will have hurt her horn somehow previously in the episode. Luckily, a kiss will also reverse the spell...

 

Twilight: "Wait! It says that there's another way to transfer the reverse spell..." [shows spell to Rarity]

Rarity: [reads spell] "Oh!"

Pinkie Pie "`Oh?'...[reads spell] OHHHHH!" [makes you're-gonna-get-it smirk @ Spike]

Spike "Oh...what?"

Rarity [big grin, half-mast eyes, approaches Spike]

Spike [nervous laugh] "Heh heh...uh, Rarity, whatcha doin'...?"

Well, there are some already existing male ponies that could use some character development such as Shining Armor, Braeburn, and Soarin'. So, I would like to see them return, and possibly get more character development.

There's always Shining Armor who will only continue to become more relevant with Cadence playing bigger roles in the future as Twilight's alicorn mentor, even if he is her beta stallion. 

 

But yes I agree. The show needs more male leads as major or supporting characters and that actually speak consistently in coherent sentences. No offense to you either Big MacIntosh.

Well we might see another male pony besides Shining Armor, Braeburn, and Soarin. I really want to see more character development, since there would be a reason to have these characters around.

I definitely want to see another major male role. Maybe a love interest for one of the Mane 6? I think Soarin should get a more prominent roll in season 4, and possibly spark an interest in Rainbow Dash. I think that'd be sooooo~ cute

 

I do believe they are fine with having a majority of female roles, but another male lead wouldn't hurt, would it?

I think having female ponies is fine with me. Besides, there are many stallions in Equestria than you think. I know that it seems as if there is more mares in Equestria especially in Ponyville (weird, how in the smile song in the episode a friend in deed all ponies who sang along are mares) But it would be interesting if a stallion got more attention in the next season. Who knows? Maybe an episode about Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry?

Sad to say, I've heard that Equestria Girls is completely not canon. Which sucks, because that movie was really good. Although, I can understand it from a story-telling POV. It'd be difficult to keep everyone happy when a lot of people would probably want the Mane Six to go back to the human universe, and it'd be hard to think of a reason for doing so that would be interesting and believable.

Another male character that I think could be interesting: a Changeling who's either reformed or doesn't want to be (or never wanted to be) with his Changeling brethren.

 

Maybe he swears off devouring love out of respect for his new friends, but then gets sick because he can't feed...

I think it would be nice to bring a few more male characters or try and use the ones we've got now a little more. If it's a new character don't just make them a love interest character or just build it up to that. Don't put a male character in just for the sake of a love interest.

 

It would be cool to see Shining Armor a little more and Pound Cake.

Are you sure that the events that took place in Equestria Girls will be canon to the TV series? I would hope that Flash Sentry makes an appearance in season 4, but I don't think EqG is canon...

I'm not completely sure, but I'm about 98% sure that EQG is NOT canon, and that it's been revealed that Fladh Sentry willnot be in S4.

There was an interview in which the creators said that Equestria Girls is cannon and thats why they made them go to and from equestria instead of just doing the whole thing humanized. Equestria Girls is also being made a seperate show too.

I would love to see a more dominant in MLP, honestly I'm not sure why it hasn't already been done as it would probably boost the popularity of the show even more as it could make the show appeal to a wider audience.

 

And no pony-Spike and Sentry Flash don't count. Spike has been their the whole time,  turning him pony for an episode changes nothing. And a romantic relationship (assuming the relationship between Twi and Sentry develops that way) is not what I'm looking for either. I want a mature male role that is a good friend to the Mane 6 and has a bigger part than Big Mac or Shining Armor.

Not necessary.  I don't mind the female domination, really.  There are a bazillion other shows featuring male characters to relate to, so this really makes MLP:FiM unique.

No offense to your idea or anything, but having a male character would stray the purpose of the show. Like Lauren Faust stated when she was airing the show, the show was meant to send a message to all girls how great a girl can be. The show takes great personalities and traits of female friends and adds conclusions, conflicts, and progression to each character so that girls everywhere can relate to it to the best ways for their own experiences. Having a 'mane' male character would unbalance the sole purpose of the mane six's girl friendships, and thus, becoming off-topic to the theme of the show itself.
