I tend to adore Rainbow Dash's part in any song she sings, so I'd say she's probably my favourite singer. However, I loved it when Sweetie Belle sang, "There is nothing that we fear; we'll have to figure out what we'll do next, 'til our cutie marks are here."

Rarity and Sweetie Belle without a doubt have the finest voices of the bunch, but I'll try to make up a list rating them all (I'll confine it to the Mane 6 and the CMC)

 

...goes off to watch a couple songs to help make final decision...

 

*sigh* Eh, screw it, I can't rate them all; they're all just too good! Gosh dang it, ok, instead I'll just go through the Mane 6 and CMC and say what I love about each of their singing voices:

 

Rarity : I still contend that Rarity has the finest singing voice in the whole show. It's by far the most mature of all of them, and just comes across very clearly and beautifully. My favorite songs that Rarity has either solely featured in or played a prominent role are "Art of the Dress," and "At the Gala".

 

Twilight : Has a very lovely singing voice, and unfortunately hasn't shown up in very many songs with prominent singing roles. Her best songs for me have been "Winter Wrap Up," and "At the Gala".

 

Pinkie Pie: Without a doubt, good ol' Pinkie shows up in more songs than any of the other characters; she has an absolutely delightfully vibrant voice that's full of so much joy and life you can't help but smile when you hear it. My favorite songs of hers are "Welcome, welcome, welcome," the "Come on Everypony, Smile, smile, smile," and her role in "At the Gala".

 

Rainbow Dash : Along with Applejack, she's probably featured the least of any of the Mane 6 in songs, which is a shame, because I really enjoy her singing voice. It's got a bit of an edge to it compared to the rest of the Mane 6, which I really enjoy. Dashie's great in "Find a Pet," and "Winter Wrap-Up," but she really blew me away with her solo in "At the Gala;" her solo is probably my favorite of all of the Mane 6 for that song.

 

Applejack: Sadly, Applejack has featured probably the least of all of the Mane 6 in songs, even less than Rainbow Dash. I like that, while her Southern drawl is somewhat apparent when she sings, it doesn't come out too strongly, or else she might sound a little hillbillyish when she sings. Instead, she's got a lovely singing voice with just the hint of a Southern accent, complementing her character very nicely. Applejack features very nicely in "Winter Wrap-Up," and "At the Gala," which I believe are the only songs she's actually sung in so far (kindly correct me if I'm wrong).

 

Fluttershy: Like most things about Fluttershy, her singing voice is absolutely adorable, easily the cutest of the whole Mane 6, and even cuter than any of the CMC's singing voices. It just perfectly reflects the kindness and gentleness of her character. My favorite songs that she's featured in are "Find a Pet," and "So Many Wonders".

 

Sweetie Belle: Has the finest singing voice of the CMC, and may very well be as good as Rarity (and, as many believe, her cutie mark may very well have something to do with her talent at and love for singing, which wouldn't surprise me at all). My favorite songs that she's prominently featured in are "Hush Now, Quiet Now," and "The Perfect Stallion" (and I really, really, really hope she features in more songs in the future; her singing voice is fantastic!)

 

Apple Bloom: Unfortunately, very much like her sister AJ, little Apple Bloom has hardly sung in any songs. The only one that comes to mind for me is "The Perfect Stallion," and even then, she only features in a minor role, though she does sound quite nice when she does sing (again, correct me if I'm wrong). Here's hoping she might feature in more songs in the future.

 

Scootaloo: Remember back at the beginning when I said "they're all just too good"? Well, I wasn't taking Scootaloo into account at the time. She, like Apple Bloom, hasn't sung in very many songs; however, unlike Apple Bloom, she did have a very prominent solo role in one particular song:

... the horror... the horror. LOL, all joking aside, she also has a minor singing role in "The Perfect Stallion," in which, thankfully, her singing voice sounds significantly better than... that. Hope she might feature in more songs in the future as well.

 

Well, that about does it; I hope that the show's very musically inclined trend continues in Season 3, since so far I've been nothing but impressed by all of the music that's featured (except for... well, ya know, THAT!!! ^^^ ).

Well, everypony in the mane 6 has sung at least once. So i'd like to ask, what is your top favorites in the 6? And name what your favorite is for each, maybe even why you gave them that spot.

 

For starters mine is:

6. Applejack, she has not enough singing when she totally needs it. My favorite song had to be her part of Winter Wrap-Up.

5. Rainbow Dash, she's exactly like Applejack, and find a pet was mostly on Fluttershy singing the majority. Her best part had to be on Into the Gala.

4. Fluttershy, she has too few actual singing parts. And when she does sing, it isn't really as good as I would hope. I disliked Find a Pet a lot, and won't base it off of Fillyshy's singing either. Her best would have to be singing to Celestia's phoenix, and if that doesn't count, then Into the Gala.

3. Twilight, regardless that she rarely sings as much as the next two, I thought she had a beautiful voice on Into the Gala. BBBFF wasn'to that bad either! My favorite piece of her singing had to be Winter Wrap-up overall.

2. Tough choice, but I had to choose it to be Rarity... Not saying she's bad, but that she just isn't as good as #1. She's absolutely amazing... Not one bit of her singing do I not enjoy! I loved Winter Wrap-up, and Pony everypony should know was better than I first thought! Though, of course, her best piece of singing has to be Art of the Dress.

1. As Trixie would say, "Was there ever any doubt?" Number 1 on my side was Pinkie. She had the most songs.. But ALL of them were beautiful. I loved the little song on Sharing and caring, her telegram was also really nice. Smile song had to bevone of her best pieces, and anything else she sang in was just plain cute. The song I really loved on her had to be Giggle at the Ghosties. Can't get it out of my head!

I rather enjoy Fluttershy's singing; however, that opinion is biased lol But you make a good point. Pinkie does a lot of singing. I think that's what makes her so enjoyable Besides, Pinkie would be pretty boring if she didn't sing any

My favorite is Fluttershy's mostly because of the beauty of the music displayed, as well as the delicateness. After that is Twilight possibly because she sings a lot. Then Pinkie, because dangit, it's Pinkie. My least favorite is Rainbow Dash. I just don't like her.
