Hi my name is James and I play the drooms.

I play the drums, that's my main instrument. I learn't it pretty quickly, my teacher call me a prodigy img-1296460-1-blink.png  (I don't believe him)

I also play the three guitars (Bass, electric, acoustic.) And I sing and scream. I'm happy with my progress.

I used to play the saxophone about six years ago in the 4th grade. I'm pretty sure I got bored of band either by or after 5th grade, at which point I discontinued playing it.

Percussionist and major band geek over here. I play everything from snare drum to triangle to timpani. Marimba is my favorite percussion instrument to play though. Playing with four mallets is just so much fun.

I usually do pit during marching season. :B

But I should be practicing snare drum right now...

I like to use Synthesizers and my guitar, I love synths because they're like the snowflakes of musical instruments. Each one has it's own unique set of parameters, sound and flexibility, no two synths sound the same....well okay there are some that are very similar to each other, but it's not the most common thing to happen. I also like the guitar because well...it is nice to pick up and play, I'm not that attached to it, but I'm starting to ease back into playing it.

Well I've played alto saxophone for ten years now. About a year ago I started to learn playing guitar, but I'm not really all that enthusiastic about it anymore. This Christmas I got a ukulele from my brother, and I've started to learn that smile.png I can also play piano and bass guitar a little bit. Oh, I don't know if this really counts, but I also enjoy playing djembe every once in a while. Not really good at it, though. tongue.png

I'd really like to take on some new instrument. I'm thinking about cello, because for some reason I've started to think it's a really cool instrument.

I drum.

The funniest part is that I can't even read music, and my favourite genre of music Is Dubstep (wub wub happy.png ) I just seem to have an ear for beats or whatever.

Hit drum with stick.

Make noise.

Unfortunately, I've hardly touched them since I started uni due to epic amounts of work. I dread to think about how bad I've gotten, but I hope to start picking up music again once I finish my studies in a few months.

I've played several instruments in my day. Some more considered "Instruments" than others. I've played the tuba, but I quit this school year. I took Piano and Guitar lessons, but I've taken a hiatus from both of them. I guess I just lack the attention span to be able to practice every day.

I'm also pretty good at playing the recorder, the kazoo, and whistling. Also I can do the little thing where you blow into your hands and make them whistle.

Well that kinda depends...if we're talking about instruments I am actually really good at...I guess it would be Piano.

But if you're talking about just instruments we own and sorda know how to play than I haaaave........

Two piano's (One is electric and the other is just a stand up piano) two violin's (One is my sisters) A few tin whistles, a harp, a guitar, a viola and I am planning on getting a hammered dulcimer (I rented one a while ago and really enjoyed playing it so I wanna buy one...to add to the collection)

Edit, I also use FL studio...

Oh yeah I also just recently started to learn to play guitar, i've been practicing and I can play like 3 chords well enough right now. C, D and G major. I can also somewhat play an A major chord, but it always ends up with one of the strings not ringing right, and I can't get it to work with 3 fingers on a fret, kinda frustrating :/.

Also upstruming is annoying to, i'm still practicing switching between my chords and I've got G and D switching pretty decently. However switching to C is hard since its so stretched. but yeah i've been practicing on and off for about a month now.

I also wanna get a keyboard and learn that. Because I just feel like Piano is a good instrument to learn and I kinda want to learn it anyways.

Thats aside from me knowing trumpet right now btw.

Yeah, I had some trouble with that too, and I'm still learning the single finger on multiple strings thing xD. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it :D

Oh jezz I don't even know if I'll try that for a good while. That always comes out crappy Xd.

My dad actually is trying to practice those, hes part of the reason I started learning guitar since he did it. Hes better then me of course, however hes also been practicing longer then me by a bit.

My fingers switching chords are also kinda inaccurate alot of times :P. So yeah I still got a good chunk of practicing to do. Practicing guitar is actually a good reminder to make me practice my trumpet for somereason, I guess putting music on my mind or something.

I can play the xylophone, drums and of course the one I have had the most experience in the piano. I discovered my talent for music at age 12 when I compose my first song by simply playing on this keyboard that I had at the time. I soon took lessons, composed more songs and joined the school band and eventually joined the jazz band when I got to high school. I took a bit of a dry spell for a while but would like to get back into it, I have been looking at some keyboards and the ones I want though they are not exactly cheap are well within my price range.

Is mayonnaise an instrument?

But seriously; when I was about 4, I started learning how to play the violin. I kept going for about 6 years, then I stopped. Then, when I was about 12 years old, I joined the school band and started playing the saxophone.

Yeah, I'm really glad I picked  that instrument up. It's incredibly fun to play, and it's easier to learn songs by ear then with the piano or guitar. tongue.png

If playing means going by chords, notes and reading music, then I can't play guitar for shit. :v But if playing by ear and making stuff up that sound pretty decent, then yeah, I can.

Although, I learned some theory by reading books, most of my knowledge has developed aurally through practice. I started off on guitar learning Metallica songs from TAB/ear and  I write the stuff in the link below now. Tommy Emmanuel is also self-taught by playing by ear/practicing. If you don't know him, check him out. Playing by ear is totally fine. :P

I play guitar, bass, a little bit of drums, and I make Dubstep music.  I am trying to get a band going with me as the guitarist, but I need a drummer and a singer.  Anyways that's what I play as far as that goes.  The person who taught me guitar has some good music.  Sorry that I can't find a video for yousad.png.  If you want to check him out his name is Reynold D. Philipsek.
