When I clicked I thought I was going to have to Ico between my favorite mane, side, and background ponies.

For the Main Six, I voted Rarity, mainly because of her design. I just think she's adorable. Then I voted Derpy, just coz.

I've posted in this thread before, several months ago I think, but I believe it's time for me to give an update as to which pony I currently favor the most.

 

My favorite pony for the past few months now and most likely for the rest of my life, is Pinkie Pie!!  

 

 

This pony is amazing. Her character design, her personality, her love of making others smile and having fun, is just great. Her mane being all poofy is so adorable and not only that, but it seems to really represent her eccentric and spontaneous attitude.

 

 

Her optimism, her endless amounts of energy, her outgoingness, her talkativeness, and all her bounciness is incredible. Her voice is unbelievably adorable and Andrea Libman did a beautiful job in bringing this energetic and pink pony to life, and granting her her own unique voice, attitude, and cheery aura!  I love her singing and thanks to that episode, A Friend In Deed, Smile Smile Smile has become my favorite MLP song.

 

 

And finally, her personality is the exact opposite of mine. I'm personally a lot like Fluttershy in real life.  So seeing someone like her, someone so unlike me and incredible in her own unique way, just really seems to draw me towards her, as odd as that sounds. 

 

 

She's an amazing character, one of my inspirations, and she has an amazing voice actress, and overall, I hope to see more of her beautiful, adorable, and quirky self in the seasons to come!

I personally prefer Rainbow Dash, although AppleJack comes in close second.

Rainbow Dash may be somewhat full of herself sometimes, but she's always willing to lend a hoof whenever it's needed. I feel a special connection to the element of loyalty as I try to emulate that myself. Plus, she's an awesome flyer, a trait I gave to my OC. Also she's a pegasus, which is in my opinion the best race.

AppleJack is a close second because she is also dependable. Plus I really like that western flair of hers.

Is it a 'comp out' to say I really do like all six of the main six and find that I don't really dislike any of the fan background ponies? Even my non-brony friends will laugh at snow-flake's battle cry. That being said I might just not be looking at all of the fan creations.

My favorite pony is Fluttershy but if I had to choose my favorite character it would be Discord. I have quite a bit of love for Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie as well.

I feel obligated to put Applejack as my fave of the Mane Six because she has the most integrity. I certainly respect her the most of the Six.. After her, I love Rarity. She's a passionate artist, a complex character, and over-the-top. I might even find her funnier than Pinkie.

I personally don't have a preference over the Mane 6 characters. To me they don't outshine each other and are balanced.

 

I would like Princess Luna but she's too overrated so I picked Scootaloo and Lyra for the other categories.

As for favorite of the Mane Six, it would be Twilight Sparkle or Pinkie Pie.
In terms of personality, I'm definitely the most similar to Twilight but Pinkie is hilarious and adorable!

 

By the way, I ended up voting for Pinkie Pie ( ), Trixie (good foil to Twilight), and Doctor Whooves (awesome name).

I don't have any 1 favorite.  I do have some I have listed as first, and some that fluctuate between 1st and 2nd, based on how well they are written. 

 

I'd list Spike (though he's not a pony) Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Princess Luna,

 

Others I'm not sure where to place.  Pinkie fluctuates in her placement, based on how she's written.  Discord I like a lot as long as he's not in the show to often.  Derpy.
