Princess Celestia is my favorite pony, because she is our benevolent ruler who has never committed any war crimes at any point in history, don't even vaguely suggest that or you will be going to the dungeons for a very long time.

My Favorite Pony is Twilight Sparkle, not because she's the main character of the show, or all her successes, it's because of her personality, her character growth and her cuteness.

Minuette is currently my favorite since I love how upbeat and fun she is but also goofy and a little weird - hard to explain tbh I just l ike her.

Although a character i'd most relate to would definitely me Moondancer. And my other favorite ponies would be Flim, Dr Whooves, and Sombra (mostly just the comic version tbh I loved his backstory there)

Without a doubt, Fluttershy is my favorite pony.

Due to her character and her presentation, she’s resonating really well with me. She’s kind, adorable and has good character progression and yeah of course, Flutterguy!

I like all ponies, but she is on spot #1.

My favorite is Starlight Glimmer, because she's consistently written and has believable social difficulties. She doesn't understand a lot of nuances, she has very little tact, difficulty understanding personal space... but that just gave her a lot of room to grow and made her relatable and fun to watch

Secondary Character: Trixie for being an actually good reformed antagonist.

Best Student Six: I'm not a fan of any of them, but I guess Ocellus had potential to be interesting.

Fluttershy has been my favorite ever since I first became a brony almost a decade ago, and that hasn't changed. Cute, a relatable personality, and with real struggles to overcome. Episodes like Hurricane Fluttershy break down how debilitating stage fright can be, which made her attempts to improve during the montage and her triumph during the climax so satisfying to watch.

You'd never guess... the great and powerful, Trixie! 

I'm gonna be honest, I don't have a full idea as to why. I loved her as a kid and I do to this day.

I find her to be quite entertaining, as well as very charming. I love her design, too.

Her friendship with Starlight is also very sweet in my eyes, I love seeing them on screen together. I also think Starlight is a great character on her own.

Oh man, this is really really hard. Every character has its strengths and weaknesses and every character in MLP are, for the most part, better than others, in my opinion.

For the main character, I have to go with Twilight Sparkle. Three reasons: Tara Strong, her adorkable personality, and she's so relatable.

For secondary characters? My favorites are the CMCs and Spike.

Tertiary Characters? Derpy, Lyra, and Bon Bon.

Never liked the Student Six, but if I had to chose, I'll go with Smolder since at she's tolerable.

I love Applejack and the whole Apple family because they remind me of my own kooky Southern relatives.  But I also really appreciate how down to earth AJ is.

I also love Fluttershy (whom I relate to most), Pinkie Pie (she’s cute and funny), and Princess Luna (I’m a night owl and love the nighttime theme with her, plus I like goth stuff and she has that vibe).

I think Coco is so cute and sweet. I also wish Inky Rose was in more episodes because I thought she was really cute too.

This goes in a profession for me. Because first I'm like: Well Twilight is my favourite. She's smart,cute,diligent. She's exactly the type of nerd I like. She has good values and try her hardest. A genuinely good pony. But then I see Fluttershy and how pure and gentle she is. A personification of kindness. Quite darling 

 

But then Maud. Her design,her voice,her deadpan nature. Maud is a Kuudere and those are my absolute favorite of the -dere types! Ahhh I love her I love you <3 

 

But what about Queen Chrysalis or Lyra or the loads of other beautiful characters?

Tricky thread. 

Pinkie has most depth of character for me and is closest to the Brony spirit I like

The secondary characters who have most to add are the ones whose characters shine in the show, like Discord and the Pie family. And also those characters who the fans have added most to like Bon.

As for tertiary characters, I have never really got on with Derpy, but I like the way they portrayed Octavia.

Student six is tough, but after speaking with Davyn, it's gotta be Ocellus :3

Rarity has pretty much been my favorite since the period between Season 2 and 3. To be honest I always found her character the most inspirational to me personally - always related to the 'creative' type, and she also really stood out to me on the basis of being a pretty common 'girly girl' trope at her core, but her character being developed to be so much more than that and was just... herself, more or less. Starlight Glimmer and Fluttershy are my other favorite 'mane' characters though, mostly on the basis of just being characters I can really relate to.

As for secondary characters, I chose a few in the poll, but I'd probably say my favorite is Trixie, which is funny considering I used to really dislike her. Guess after a while, her 'charismatic' attitude and personality grew on me, and her relationship with Starlight in S6-9 especially really helped me find more appreciation for the character in general. I also noticed Gilda wasn't in the poll, and I figured I might as well mention her since I always took interest in her character (and Griffons in general) and really liked her redemption arc in Lost Treasure of Griffonstone.

What makes FiM so fantastic for me is the huge diversity of characters. For me to say to have one favorite piny would be kinda weird. I consider every character important, they all add to the greatness that FiM is.
