I dunno how we are gonna go extinct, it could be a global disaster, social breakdown, evolving to a different species, etc. There's guarantee that the Sun will destroy the Earth if no other tragedies happens to out planet, but our descendants might be advanced enough to leave Earth for good

While discussing it with my brother we have come to the conclusion that zombies of any kind including the zombies of the "Last of us" are litteraly impossible to happen. I have knowledge of the fungus that causes the bugs it controls to get eaten so it does its' cycle of life but there are some things zombies just can't do.

Zombies must have breathing of some sort, blood pumping through their brains e.t.c. Regardless of what you think zombies don't have infinite amounts of energy so in other words after a period of time zombies would run out of energy and die. A Plant type of zombie like the last of us would eventually have to find water, food, sun, e.t.c. Anyways... zombies actively seeking flesh to eat and consume is not in any kind of work... and their unique apetite for flesh is not logical... there should be apetite for any flesh. However the aggressive seeking of flesh i cannot understand... why would they be maniacally seeking it... the plant fungus thingie from the last of us does nothing more than make you more prone to getting eaten... It's like toxoplasmosis... the rat follows the smell of the cat and gets eaten. Toxoplasmosis itself lowers our reflexes by some point but it doesn't actively make us seek to kill other people to transfer our virus. Also something i don't understand... if zombies transfer their virus by eating other humans how is there anything left for the virus to infect?

Zombies make no sense at all... they are litteraly impossible. So yea... we might die... but it will be anything BUT zombies.

Machines and technology are such a huge part of our lives now that I wouldn't be surprised if we one day shed our human forms to become ones and zeroes.

Hopefully some sort of zombie apocalypse, if not then i'll destroy it myself, I don't believe humanity is ready to walk this planet, I've seen the stupidity of humans and it bothers me so much...

I've seen the stupidity of humans and it bothers me so much...

 

Humanity isn't necessarily stupid. It has an amazing record of making dreams come true; finding a new land across the Atlantic, created complex machinery to its advantage, and soared to the sky and later, outer space. It is because while humanity can make so much mistakes, it can also achieve many things we once thought impossible, and therefore I refuse to be pessimistic about the uncertain future that awaits humanity.

 

If each generation keeps on creating its own mistake, then old mistake will have to be thrown out. Making mistakes is part of being human. If we stop believing in ourselves, then we can no longer endure life nor have a reason to live.
