    I'm really not too concerned. If Hasbro wants to enforce their copyright law on people breaking the law they can and they should but there's also rights for parodies and those create fan works from them. Almost everything on ILoveFine is liscenced out and Hasbro rcvs a cut. Comissions are single payments for a service and getting that service. It's really not that big a deal and i don't see why someone should get riled up that people are making a small income off of art or collectibles. It's not really your problem.

    Well a couple thing to keep in mind is that i doubt people have left simply because of the alicorn business. Many people were griping about the short season and the lack of great storytelling from it. so a general slide in quality. Some also have gotten tired of some of the drama, some of the childishness, and other apsects of the fandom. Ultimately i hope season 3 was a temporary lull and that things get better in season 4, that's what i'm betting on. I don't FEEL as good about the show as i did the previous seasons but I'm not quitting yet. If it does continue to slide during season 4, there emerges a different better show, or if the show ends shortly after S4 I'm sure you'll see a much sharper exodus.But the good still outweighs the bad.

    If you can't make things you can always blog. I run 2 blogs for the fandom and i find it creative, useful to others, and ultimately satisfying work. If that's something you can do or help out WITH an existing one then consider that.

    I think the phrase that fits the best is you gotta use it or you lose it. Clearly Fluttershy barely uses her wings and she has lost most of her flying power accordingly. There's plenty of episodes already on this topic.

    Dang this aboout the closest one to Denver i've seen so far. Yet i doubt i'm going to make a trek to make it. Actually just got back from Phoenix in February.... Hope its cool.

    I'm like fedex and UPS, if you can get it to fit in a box then ship it. If there were more good male characters you would see more hetero ships, but alas. Since the female characters are already much better developed and have had episodes to just how they interreact it simply enables how well the lesbian ships work in the community.

    This is a great idea. One of the appeal of eqbeats was its tie into radio (there's a Fillydelphia group for soundcloud that's supposed to add your tracks to that station but i don't see that its worked). Whether its exactly like PAndora (IE awesome) or something more generic a random generator, it would be cool for pony.fm to essentially have its own radio station even if it's just a random song generator with skip button or something more advanced that keeps track of good music and plays just the best of the best. I'll echo what I've said all along is that this has to equally be a LISTENERS site and also get more than newb musicians. If several semi well known musicians can get established on here and rally support THAT would be great too. If the music forum section can develop into more conversations, technique, and discussions that would help. If it can have a lot more features than EBBeats THAT would be great. If we can feature well made tracks by our own that would be great.. A lot of opportunites and hurdles here.

    How would a 30 second snippet really appeal to a listener though? Is pony.fm going to actively try appeal to people who want help with WIP tracks or is intended for finished tracks only. That's a big determiner.

    Yeah i think for once there's WAY to few electronic genres available. You won't need huindreds you can settle with a few of the major ones and then be done with them. It would really help apply some more musical logic to the site

    I agree completely that Hasbro is going to continue to make a show that works for their "target audience" AND us. They could try making the plots and jokes more mature over time and see what happens but that likely will not happen and doesn't need to. As long as they can continue to make them well-made, interesting plots and charcters, and satisfy both audiences they should do well, i just don't want to see them cater only to ONE audience. But they do need to see if they're losing our loyalty tho. It is WAY too early to freak out about Twilight tho.

    Sorry I DO NOT BUY THIS for a second and I'm getting tired of hearing this statement on loop from fellow bronies. To say that a parent has more of a right to complain vs the people who CREATED and OCCUPY this brony fanbase with its art, music, fanfiction, and who spend LOADS of money on all these brony collectibles is ridiculous. I'm tired of seeing other bronies repeat this same fact like we should be embarassed that we're watching a children's show. The creators of this show attend bronycons all the time and its not little children and their parents attending these things, it's teens and adults who occupy the brony movement. They see us, we see them. They are well aware of who we are and how much this show means to us. We are not an undesired side effect of the show, we ARE their fanbase.

    There's not much to them as characters yet, but wadddya do? They've both had limited screen time. Cadence is Princess of the crystal ponies because Celestia appointed her there. Simple as that. Seeing that that place was invisible for hundreds of years means she might as well have been sent to Idaho to rule. Again Cadence has taken a lot of abuse over the series so far (kept in a dungeon, had her fiance been intimate with a queen changeling, drained of energy by the protective spell protecting her new kingdom from Sombra, and finally been thrown like a football by her husband). Not to mention she has to do that sunshine chant everytime she sees Twi now (imagine that during royal gatherings). I can't say she's had that much of a pampered life yet.....You should be happy

    Well have a new track out. Did hip-hop and even some rap vocals myself. Not the first hip-hop track i've made but the most personal and my own vision. This is a slight oldie Wish I'd uncensored this one back in the day (I released right after MCA died) but though EQD might highlight, sure enough it wasn't so not sure why i bothered. Hopefully it won't suffer the same fate (real hip-hop is often used with samples people).

    This is definitely good and especially for a first try. It is a little one-note as it could use maybe more stuff or adiditonal instruments goign on at once or some surprises midway. Of course one of the primary flaws is Applejack doing Rave with that country twang. Sounds a bit like Ruffnexx. That said you did get this to work pretty decently so props on that.

    I feel kind of the same way. I can enjoy a baseball game when i'm taken TO one and make it through part of a soccer or football game but i have a hard time really seeing why so many guys make it such an important part of their lives.

    Ever since i turned 21 and discovered night clubs and the music that came with them (first new wave nights then alternative then edm) I've been in love and fanscination with it ever since. It's been the primary focus of my life and understanding just how many amazing genres there are and so much great history behind it. The strange part is that its changed in scope since i started making music. When i did I've started listening a lot less bands and virtually no new ones and instead focused my efforts on my own music and a few other peers (after initially listening to a lot more pony music when i started too). While making my own music gives me a whole new way to appreciate music it has made it harder to feel attached to listening to regular music in the same way which is slightly saddening. I really don't want to get burned out on looking for new bands or enjoying old ones. Ultimately this is how important music is to me and i don't mind leaving a trail of my dedication or appreciation of it.

    I'll say overall that Season 3 was disappointing to me but sometimes shows have a seaon which doesn't work well but they shed some skin, have some growing pains, and get back on track. Really I'm not likely going to warm up a whole lot to season 3 after the fact but it's really all about whether they recover in season 4 and make Twilicorn a new and interesting plotline or if they continue to make good storytelling priority #2 or 3.

    Yeah it hasn't changed too much. There's likely too much fan music now with less of it sounding remarkable to the early stuff but the visual art that's coming out is just as amazing as it always was if not better. We may have more whiners now than before on the directions the show is going but that won't be a real problem for you if you're playing catch up. Yeah this show has a pretty massive fanbase overall.

    Working on a remix of Celestia's ballad. Have an old school hip-hop tracks with LOADS of sampling that i rapped over as the Professor (in the background of the s3Ep1 premiere "that is correct") who explains the science behind alicorns and how it relates the Twilicorn drama. Also a disco version of Eurobeat Brony's Disco(rd). Then cleaning up some older tracks for album #2 (and #3 later down the road).

    TBH while the balloon party did do dusbtep and loud stuff very well and the production is good it's a pretty poor pony album. There's just not much an influence on the songs and it's pretty one-note over the whole thing. I can definitely recommend using the brony musian directory at bronymusic.com. We have both the top song lists of 2011 and 2012, track highlights for each of the several months (see the bottom right side for ytube playlists), genre searches and highlights, the list of the top brony musicians in the community, and ....(takes breath) highlights for most every brony musician out there (avatar, links, description, and a few of their best tracks) big and small. All these together should REALLY make it much easier to find the music you are looking for. One thing i will mention is while you will see a lot of the same names on recommendations there's also a lot of other brony musicians who put in a ton of work on their songs and got in a little late in the game and don't have the same instant name recognition. So it's important to realize that there's a lot more to this music than just the big names and many people can put out music that's just as or nearly as good. Such as myself.

    Yeah if they can't have any ponies in the eventual game i really don't have any interest in it. I mean they could have had done unique characters or brony musicians fighting or something slightly pony and it would have been acceptable but if they are doing something completely new it would be just as interesting as any other genric 2d fighting game (and many of those already exist). This was exciting because it was ponies injected into a game, with moves and songs that reflected them, and it was fan made, and done well. Really the fan made portion wasn't that much of the draw it was the mlp aspects. This goes back to if we would support bronies who suddently switch to non-mlp related music or art and my answer would be no. Best of luck to Archie and Alex S on their non-pony work and Mane 6 for their non-pony game but w/o it being pony it's just a run of the mill game or piece of music w/o any reason to hold my interest. Sad but true.

    I might be up for this if it's ever better and most customizable. Always like this game, Sims, and Roller Coaster Tycoon Series so a revamp would quite great.

    October 2011. Friend of mine was pointing out some of the music from the community and i got interested in that scene through that and some of the youtube poop vids. Was actually a bit of a delay wathcing the show itself as that seemed like a much bigger leap of faith. Haven't looked back since and have been both watching and making music about the show ever since.

    There really isn't two warring sides to this. There's the people who accept what happened and will roll with the changes and the people who can't deal with the change and bring negativity back into their frustration. Change happens, just deal with it. It wouldnt be so bad but having a 3-6 month break between seasons makes the issue even more volatile. I understand it's frustrating not being able to control the quality and direction of this show but that's up to the creative team behind this show to let us know in season 4. People just have to wait and see, stay calm and flutter on.

    Would love to see an episode where she needs to travel back home and maybe get the mane 5 to help. It just seems she i a bit of an after-thought and that "diversity or her charcters should be better explored and used (although she has had quite a few cameos).
