  1. Zombies are the only reason I ever found a reason to buy a CoD game. The Multiplayer was simply too repetitive and was not worth playing due to how rage-inducing it was. I bought BO to see what this Zombies thing was all about, and it was the first thing I played when I booted it up. Stayed up pretty late playing matches of Kino with a bunch of random people. But I really had a good time with splitscreen with one of my friends; it was a blast! We'd always come up with a new plan each time we both died, and we just genuinely had a good time. I bought all of the DLC's just for the Zombie maps, and while we did enjoy a few of the DLC maps (especially Ascension and Nacht Der Üntoten), we always preferred to play Kino and Five. But when I saw BO2 Zombies, I was immediately put off from buying the game (I skipped MW3 as well). I don't quite know why, but the maps didn't look that appealing to me; too big and too post-apocalyptic-looking, and after the essential destruction of Earth it didn't seem like Zombies had long to last anyways story-wise, plus we don't get to play as the original characters (or at least three of them and Richtofen possessed by Samantha).
  2. Cry and Nova are absolutely high on my like list. Cry has the voice of angels (and he's funny at times, but usually takes games seriously), while Nova is just straight-up funny and hangs out with other great YouTubers such as Sp00n :3 I used to watch PewDiePie, but he just got really boring to watch, and eventually I had to stop to avoid cringing at his overemphatic commentary and his bad perception of horror. And I've never watched Smosh before, so I'd say I'm indifferent about them. But I honestly dislike Tobuscus. Never really got into his humour.
  3. Well, any publisher/develepor who does add DRM is shooting themselves in the foot. But I agree, it would be a cool and reassuring feature, but there's a different opinion on everything between PC users and console users. We [console users] have been used to the current marketing of games for about 30 years now, so it's quite clear that we are happy with it to this day. You can't just simply throw a huge change into it. Microsoft will have to convince us console users that going Digital wouldn't be sacrificial, and they frankly haven't done enough convincing until the Xbox One was announced.
  4. The thing that puts me off from the Xbox One is Microsoft ever thinking about adding DRM to it. They thought - as did the majority of the general consumer base of consoles - that this decision would push SONY to do the same with their PS4. But nope, Jack Tretton just aimed his shotgun right at MS and blew two barrels into their face; no DRM or used game restrictions on PS4. After this, it was simply nothing but more negative PR for MS. Don Mattrick's "offline device" statement was probably where it reached its highest. PS4 was dominating pre-orders, and this forced MS to remove what was quite clearly the losing point for them (except the $500 price tag though and the necessary Kinect). They say they did this because they "listened" to the fans, but the only thing that was listened to were the pre-order numbers, as is typical for businesses in the red (*cough* EA *cough*). Yipee, no more DRM. Nope, there wasn't exactly cheering for this decision after this. Why did they do this in the first place? The only real reason I could think of is to prevent piracy, but adding DRM would just mean that you are punishing even your innocent fans and branding them as criminals. And anyone knows this rule: the more you lock down access to a want, the more that people try to break into it. And what's to stop them from re-implementing DRM about a year or two after the Xbox One's release? This may sound stupid to think, but so was the idea of DRM to begin with TBH. You can never tell with businesses like this, but now that DRM has been officially affiliated with Microsoft, it's now a worry for any buyer of the Xbox One.
  5. Sonic '06 Essentially what was supposed to be Sonic Adventure 3, it was obviously not that good. Story was decent (yet had some weird moments like the very ending), and the soundtrack was good, but gameplay-wise it was broken and unenjoyable to control each character, thanks to the hundreds of glitches present, and the missions were bland and repetitive, feeling like a chore to complete. I wasn't expecting something as good as SA2 (great game IMO, although it suffered from a few glitches as well), but at the same time I wasn't expecting it to be a pile of trash and a waste of money. Crash of the Titans I was a bit skeptical of the Crash releases after Naughty Dog lost the furry bandicoot, but I was actually quite happy with the releases after that, from "Crash Bash" to "Crash Tag Team Racing". But then came this, along with some very controversial changes. Biggest one was Crash himself, as he was made a bit bulkier, got tattoos, and was removed of his iconic fingerless gloves (Coco didn't fair too well either)! And then there was the new monster mechanics. The new monsters felt like too much of a focus TBH. I like variety in games, especially with the swimming missions and water ski missions in the original Crash games, but these were only put in for a small fraction of the games and were paced well, and with CotT the monsters are a necessity in every level. I wasn't amused. Pretty mediocre game, but mediocre simply doesn't cut for Crash, one of gaming's best protagonists.
  6. I use a pair of Philips SHB9100's, after my Philips Shibuya's drivers blew. They cost me £80, but after my experience with their other headphones, it was safe to say that I wouldn't be disappointed. And I wasn't! They look snazzy, feel comfortable to wear, and can be used wirelessly (although they sound better through-the-wire obviously). Sound quality is really good as well; nice frequency range, allowing for easy hearing of low sub-basses and high/mid sounds, and they feel much more robust than the previous headphones I had, with plastic covering a re-adjustable aluminium strip. They also have features to skip songs and change the volume, but these can only be used when in wireless mode. Battery life is about 7-8 hours in-use after a single charge, which is pretty good, but I honestly don't use wireless at all, seeing as on devices other than an iPod the sound quality AND the responsiveness are off-putting. So tl;dr... + Look snazzy; feel comfy + Wired or Wireless + Good sound quality + Strong and robust + Good battery life for Wireless mode - Wireless mode decreases sound quality and responsiveness significantly - Skipping/Volume features don't work in Wired mode Oh, and here's a picture of them :3
  7. Yeah, the old games were a joy to play! I actually bought the Spyro Trilogy just last week for only £3.99 on PSN, and I've been playing the first one on my Vita for hours. Too bad he's been pretty much wiped of his glory with Skylanders But I also loved the Crash Bandicoot games
  8. Oh yes, I love me some Disco! I've not listened to a lot of older Disco tracks, but Nu-Disco is one of my favourites! I enjoy uploads from: Televisor Two guys (Tim and Tom), who make some incredible Nu-Disco tracks - almost exclusively in fact! They've released so many songs on Monstercat that they got the channel to add a Nu-Disco section, which was great news for everyone FunkyyPanda One of the funkiest networks on YouTube! Always delivers funky, every week! Hosting a branch of amazing artists such as 95 Royale, Shook, and previously Televisor (they started off here), this is definitely one of the most promising channels I've ever seen! Here's an example of a track released on FunkyyPanda.. CHIC And an oldie to finish up with! Man, I heard that Disco was all the rage back in the 70's/80's, but a group like this really does stand out, and for good reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFEFs9_VuVE
  9. Got a Vita after selling my 3DS; not selling it anytime soon, especially since I'll be getting a PS4 for Christmas and having the ability to stream PS4 games to it Not getting an Xbox One. I've simply never seen the appeal in any of the Xbox consoles, and Wii U is an obvious no, too.
  10. Well, I'm sure that most of their audience (bronies) do take them seriously. As for non-bronies however, they most likely wouldn't, given the immense prejudice towards anything related to My Little Pony. I believe that it's this that is making some Brony artists hesitate to make more MLP-related music in order to have their music taken seriously, like Alex S and Omnipony, who have seemingly gave up with it entirely.
  11. I quite like DLC. It keeps a game fresh and adds onto the experience. But I see that not many people are doing it right (like Activision with their overpriced map packs). Of course, there are those who do execute it right, and it's these that make DLC a positive thing in my mind.
  12. Savant Simply put, this guy is amazing at producing EDM, or any type of music to be honest. He has a brilliant style, especially noticeable in his Electro tracks, and he makes music constantly (he's made over 10,000 songs in his life) and frequently releases top-notch albums. Tut Tut Child My favourite Monstercat producer. He usually puts out tracks for free (even though they definitely are worth buying), and has his own signature sound that I like to call the "Tut Tut Roar". Televisor A British duo who make funky Nu-Disco tracks and release them on Monstercat. They were the reason I subscribed to Monstercat, as they have such a distinctive sense of funk that simply can't be beaten, and I actually prefer their music over Daft Punk's. SimGretina A brony artist who creates great remixes of songs from the show and great original tracks, too! Dance is definitely the type of music he makes for the most part, and he also has an alias called "Frenssu" which he uses for his French House tracks (which are some of his best IMO). I also like a bunch of FunkyyPanda artists such as 95 Royale, DAZE, Tits & Clits, J.A.C.K, etc.
  13. My favourite old Disney film would have to be "The Black Cauldron". Now, I don't remember much of it since it was something I watched as a kid, but I do remember it being dark as hell! Seriously, it was like terrifyingly black; definitely fits its title. But the characters were great and had a well-developed bond with one another IMO, and the animation whilst old is still pretty bold and strong. My favourite Disney movie of recent years though was "Wreck-It Ralph". As a gamer, I was quite content with all of the references to games from my childhood at the start, but I was thinking that the entire movie would be nothing but references all throughout. I was wrong. Once the story kicked off, it became its own thing and I was really pleased to see how well it was played out. The development of the main characters is great, and the pack of ideas in it kept the movie from getting dull and repetitive
  14. Spike is my least favourite main character. Not saying he's a bad character or anything; he's a pretty awesome guy! It's just that I prefer all of the Main 6 more, that's all. Prince Blueblood is most definitely my least favourite secondary character. Snobby, selfish, and just really hasn't got a lot of good going for him. I'm glad he was tossed after the S1 finale. And obviously Diamond Tiara is the most hated lesser character. Out of her and Silver Spoon, it's her any day of the week. She's nothing but a spoilt little brat who does nothing but pinpoint the other kids and degrade them. While she may be an important character in MLP:FiM (for the CMC plots), that doesn't mean that she as a character is someone to like.
  15. I very rarely drop my devices, but sometimes I get my headphone wire stuck in something and it ends in it unplugging my device. But there was one time I dropped my Vita, and boy did I drop it! From the top of my staircase, hitting a few steps before clunking onto the ground. Thankfully the screen was fine, but it left a small dent at the bottom near the headphone jack input.
  16. "Wild Ganja" by Savant. Ever since hearing Savant's latest release on TastyNetwork, I went back to check this song out due to its similarities. Now it's stuck in my head :/ And also "Mr. Mittens Groove" by Virtual Riot LOL
  17. I do, although I usually just use my Wii instead to save me space in my TV stand. My sis and I play SSBM quite a bit, but I also play other games. And since my memory card broke ages ago, I try and see how far I can get in a single playthrough
  18. I don't really watch too many gamers on YouTube. But I do love Game Grumps, mostly for Jon (JonTronShow FTW). My favourite playthrough of theirs is definitely Goof Troop I also watch some ChaoticMonki (Cry) vids, although I only really got interested in his playthroughs of Corpse Party and The Walking Dead. His voice is adorable :3 Penguinz0 is another one I watch, although have lost a little interest in. His humour is nipple- UberHaxorNova and Sp00n are probably my second favourites behind Game Grumps. Them playing GMod is frickin' hilarious xD NerdCubed is also another one. Whether I enjoy his videos or not depends on what type it is. I mostly watch his "Nerd Plays", "Nerd Plays Simulators" and "Nerd Challenges" videos. I also follow his Dad's channel. TotalBiscuit (The Cynical Brit) is one I got into fairly recently. I found him through YouTube's "Featured" page, with his "WTF is... The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct" video. I enjoy all of his WTF is videos, and I also enjoy watching his Content Patch videos. And if I want to watch Austrailians play pony games/mods, Mach5Gaming is where I'll go. I used to watch PewDiePie, but he's just lost that comedic tether with me. His videos do seem to be just him screaming and talking about random stuff that I don't find relatable. And Tobuscus is just flat-out boring :/
  19. Yup, both my Mum and my Dad have known for a while now. My Mum didn't really seem to care; the most she did was chuckle and bring it up a few times, but that's about it. My Dad on the other hand, well, doesn't really take it too seriously either (which is good, of course). He's cool with it, and he even took me to Build-A-Bear one time to get a Pinkie Pie plushie ^^
  20. Have I ever clopped? Nope. And most likely never will. I mean, not saying that it's a bad thing or anything. I personally just don't find ponies (pony form or anthro) sexually attractive.
  21. I like Dubstep. It's a beautiful genre that uses bass in a clever way, putting emphasis on it and the song as a whole can be listened to easily. Take this for example.. http://youtube.com/watch?v=9kwAavRff_M Now isn't that a beautiful song? But people misinterpret Dubstep as "Brostep", a terrible excuse of a name to try and link it to Dubstep. This is obviously going to ruin Dubstep because, well, it isn't Dubstep. Ever since Skrillex came into the EDM scene, Brostep has been overshadowing actual Dubstep, and why do most people hate this Brostep? Because it's too hardcore and feels like a mindf*ck when the "drop" comes in. It's just too difficult to listen to casually, which is what most people do. The worst example of Brostep has to be "Scary Monsters and Bad Sprites"; simply atrocious song that literally sounds like a transformer having a seizure. And because this is a very, very popular song, it's setting a bad example of the genre to many people. That's not Brostep; it's Moombahcore.
  22. Twilight would probably listen to Classical music, seeing as it would be an appropriate type of music to listen to while studying (calm and not very loud). Fluttershy would probably like Classical, too. It would fit her quiet nature quite well. I would say Chillout, but that's a bit on the EDM side of things, a very loud section of music in general. Rarity on the other hoof would probably like French-style music (like Disco, French House, etc). Anything to go with her glamourous self. Rainbow Dash would obviously be a strong Rock listener, due to her cool attitude. Metal would be a bit too much in my opinion. Pinkie Pie would listen to Pop music, so just a mish-mash of popular genres with generic Pop song traits; preferably dance-y Pop songs though (for parties, of course). And Applejack would listen to Country music. With her being brought up on a farm, it'd only be natural for her to be into that type of music.
  23. Yeah, I'd also go with the Ratchet & Clank collection. Those games were so much fun back then, and if you haven't experienced them yet, it's never too late
  24. Team got beat in the Scottish League Cup final today (3-2), but I enjoyed it nonetheless :)

  25. Generally, IRN-BRU (a fruit-flavoured soft drink) would be my choice, but as I've grown a wider need for variation, I ended up getting myself hitched onto Energy Drinks. I don't particularly drink Energy Drinks for the 'buzz' (although when I first tasted green Monster...), but more for the nice flavour variety. Rockstar has a lot of fruit-based cans, as does Relentless, and with new flavours getting added every so often (like Bubblegum or Sour Apple), there's always something to look forward to! Haha, what a coincidence! xD
