  1. No, I'm not afraid of the dark in a general matter. However, if I've watched a really scary movie or something I'll be scared of everything, especially the darkness. To be percise, excorsism movies makes me go nuts, really. I haven't watched those in years, I watched half of some new one the last time I saw one, I was somewhat traumatizied for a big while... I find the SAW movies to be fun, but they're more gore than it's horror. Just saying, I can handle some movies classed as "horror", but I tend to avoid anything including the topic, unless I know for sure that it's nothing to worry about, like SAW for example. I even own all 7 movies of that in a DVD box... That's kinda weird. I barely ever get any DVDs, and of all movies, I have the SAW movies. Well well.
  2. This seems like a hard thing... I mean, does a fandom actually go together and give to a charity "together"? Personally I've given lots of money to Child's Play and EFF (through Humble Bundle, atleast 100 dollars so far, so 50 each to those two) aswell as about 4 dollars to Watsi, and about 16 to Clowns Without Borders. I have no clue what the "fandom in general" gives to, and I'm not sure how you're going to measure that. Good luck with your project nontheless.
  3. This is truly interesting, I'm not much into reading studies and stuff about it, I'm not that interested, but it's interesting to read the "core parts" or whatever it was that you mentioned here. I too am religious, so that makes this even more interesting.
  4. Question has obviously already been answered by now. Personally i have a hard time deciding my "favorite pony" or "best pony". Dashie is of course, the best pony, according to herself. "Can't settle for less 'cause I'm the best, so a contest we will see! For the greatest number one bestest pet in the world for meeeee!" I'm pretty sure I messed up the part after the first (!), but yeah. It's from S02E07, I'm sure she's said it a few more times, but that song, I kinda know it by heart by now, it's one of my favorite songs from MLP (all of them are great, but this one i've listened to A LOT...). Trixie is one of my favorites, she might not be the most nice pony or something, but I really like her anyway, much because of her style, she's like, adorable. When I say "one of my favorites", almost everypony goes into that category, except the ones that are genuinely evil or something, I mean, not very nice, in my own opinion. We already have a discussion for if there are anypony/anything who is evil beyond redemption, or maybe that was about changelings... yeah, whatever
  5. I'm fairly new to the entire show in comparison to many others, I'm not sure how long, maybe 2 months, or slightly more, is how long it's been since i started watching MLP. I too have found great happiness in the show, aswell as the fandom-community. I have found something to collect, something to spend my money on. That might seem like a weird good thing, but I do actually have way more money than I need, and I get way more money than I spend, every month. I don't have a job, other than that summer job I got last summer, which paid enormously well, far better than expected. I will most likely be offered to work even more next summer. I'm very happy for you. I was in a huge black part of my life for many years, during my elementary school rather. I was bullied, and when I was not directly bullied, I was freezed out, or not accepted by anyone. This year, I started on a new school, at Senior high, and things got better. Much better. I even found a few bronies at this school, it's pretty amazing. Oh yeah, even if your depression might seem like it "wasn't much" - it is much. I always say, that my sad years wasn't so serious really, since there are others who have it far worse, but thinking like that, just makes you underestimate your feelings. I admit that I am also underestimating how bad i had it, I don't think I had it that bad, even if I know I felt REALLY shitty at times. MLP saves lives Oh yeah, if you haven't already, you should read these, it's a very nice read: PART ONE: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.se/2011/10/adventures-in-depression.html PART TWO: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.se/2013/05/depression-part-two.html
  6. Oh yes, if you mean that I will get many many more figures and stuff. I already ordered a A.J plushie, aswell as a Trixie brushable, both from ebay. The latter is factory new, but it's without a box, from Hong Kong... It will take 1-2 months for it to get here, but it will be worth it, since it was very cheap, and Trixie is a figure that doesn't normally sell anymore, and I wantz trixie! I have some stuff i plan to get, like a Rarity brushable, and a Rarity Equestria Girl (yea, I kinda like those dolls personally, I know lots of people dislike the movie, and dislike the dolls even more, but I think they are kinda pretty ) and... too much stuff EDIT (20oct): YES! YES! YES! I was so lucky, I went back to the supermarket today, and checked through every Blind Bag they had. Guess what, the one I wanted, was the LAST BAG I looked at of all the ones they had, SO LUCKY!
  7. I bought the Vinyl POP Dashie figure when I was in the Capital, and I showed it to almost everyone. One guy, which I think is 2 classes above me, came up to me and said "Oh hey that's Rainbow Dash! Are you a brony?" - "YES!" I said. "High five!" he said" "No, BROHOOF *brohoofs* " I said "Oh right! *brohoof* "
  8. I don't know what to say, I really liked your ideas about a dream house, I do not share the dream, but I found it very interesting to read. You have my brohoof for that. Oh and I also love the winter, I prefer winter before Summer, even if both are annoying in their own ways. My dream home, would be up in the northen parts of Sweden (I live in Sweden, and I don't plan to move somewhere else) preferably in some small city with only a few thousand inhabitans. It could be in the middle of the forest, and I would have a decently good interent connection still - but I would have few, or no, neighbours. I would preferably be around 20min from the nearest "somewhat-big-city" where I would be working. It would be a decently large house, with the decorations being very old-fashioned. Imagine that you are visitng your 90-year old grandfather, that's about how I would like it to be. Your RICH 90-year old grandfather. I'm not saying I want to be rich, I never will be, but I do like the style that my grandfather has, and he is obvliviously rich. Probably the only rich person in my entire family, he is not a very generous person, but sometimes they come over here with some very expensive meat - which we are very thankful for. I don't have very clear dreams about my future home, other then that I don't want to live in the middle of a city, and certainly not in the sourthern parts of Sweden, it's too hot down there.
  9. I think Ashleigh talked about this in either her interview or the VA panel at EverFreeRadio... I watched both of them, and they are both very long, so I don't quite remember. I recommend watching them anyway, because they're very fun to watch (actually the CutieMarkCrusader VA-Panel is even more fun!) And as everyone else already said, they were trying hard to "fit the voice" and experimenting and all, and in Season 2 they found a more comfortable and fitting voice than in season 1, even if it may sound somewhat better in Season 1. 10. Yes, I felt like making a thread like this. I have a sincere love for slow paced drama movies, and not just any kind of movie either. I thought I would be happy to see just any french drama, or any high rated slow paced drama on imdb, but I was wrong, after watching ½ the movie of two movies that had very high rating, I was extremely bored by the plot and the theme of the movie. Today, I plan to watch "Smultronstället" by Ingemar Bergman, a very old movie, made by a very famous Swedish director (I'm swedish aswell, I've heard lots of things about his movies, mostly them being very slow and boring). Delicatessen, Amour, and Seraphiné are the only ones that come to my mind, when I think about slow paced, amazing, drama movies. Is there anypony out there, who share the same love for slow paced drama? Anypony got any slow paced drama tips/reviews/something? Oh yes, feel free to recommend any directors or something, I really need to make a proper watchlist of slow paced drama movies, just searching for french drama, seems like it failed, even though I probably got a few golden corns in that list, I believe most of it to be trash. (my imdb watchlist, it has about 60 movies in it) Mind you, this movie is amazing. If you haven't watched it, go watch it. My entire family disliked it, my brother fell asleep while watching it, and the rest was just bored. I was fully awake, and innerly amazed and spiritually moved, by this movie. I might be exadurating, but this is after all, a drama movie, and a drama thread.
  11. Heh, count me in on this one! I have kinda very bad luck on giveaways, always have been, and I'm sure there are others who want it more than I do, but it would surely be lovely to win. Thanks for doing something like this! PS: I might/will change my name sooner or later, not sure when. In other words, I'm planning to make a donation sometime soon, I'll PM you if I change my name before the contest ends.
  12. Bought the Dashie POP figure when i was in the capital (stockholm, took 6 hours to get there by bus. Long story short it was a trip with school, and it was NOT for fun. I was able to get to the Sci-fi bookstore once, I had very little time, but I managed to get there and pick Dashie up) The two blind bag figures, I failed a bit on... I intended to get Big Mcintosh, Granny Smith, and Cadence - but I later realised I had written down AC instead of AJ or whatever, I went back, they had no AJ, I returned one... Apparently both AJ and AC was wrong though. I mistook AB for AE, so I got Gilda instead of Big M, but it's not the entire world. I'll go there again tomorrow, and try to see if they have Cadence, I really want Cadence, Big M is not that important, since i Know he will most likely show up in a later series aswell. THIS IS MY FIRST MERCH EVAH EVERYPONY
  13. Awesome! Well, I feel obligated to ask you to post pictures whenever you can! I'm currently staying awake just to make sure I win a ebay buying on a Trixie Lulamoon brushable. It's not sold anymore, so I had to order it from Hong Kong (still new, but without a box... weird, but I don't care) and that will take 2 months of shipping or something. But I gotta get it! And style the mane! I was first kinda not into getting brushables, but there are so nice stylings on the manes, that I changed my mind about brushables. DeviantArt surely does have some good guides
  14. I like trixie, she is probably one of my favorite ponies... I actually ordered a trixie brushable from hong kong (delivery time of 2+ months it seems) just because I NEED TRIXIE...... Well really, trixie is awesome, and so is Luna. I hope to see more of Luna, and Trixie.
  15. Well it seems like it's not deadly expensive, the question is rather how much you want it... I'm sure it will look lovely on the wall, or whatever you plan to use it for (seems like it's a waste to use it for it's "actual" purpose of advertising or whatever... since it seems to be used and all). It looks nice, that's for sure.
  16. Well what kind of merch do you want? The other person (above me) presumed that you wanted wearable merchandise, which is kind of likely unless you bring home your dudes... personlly I'm more into figures in vinyl, both brushable, equestria dolls, blind bags... etc... Yea the guy above me surely did link to A LOT of somewhat not so noticable t-shirts and stuff, I have no clue about stuff like that, since I intend to collect toys and such. Soooo, yeaaah... where do you live anyway? EU? USA?
  17. Yeah I don't have a single pony thing, but I kinda got into getting brushables now that I saw how many wounderful stylings there are at the brushables! Do you have any styled brushables? PICTURES?
  18. I would think higher of Hasbro than that... Unless they would end G4 with a VERY open ending, there would probably be little need for a flashback episode in a possible G5. I mean, if things would go as Lauren wanted it to (which won't happen but, let's just assume it would happen like that) all the ponies would achieve their dreams/goals/destinies before the end of the show, so I don't know what the need for a flashback episode in G5 would be used for. Except if something terrible happened when everypony got their dreams fulfilled... Which would just be, odd. WELL WELL
  19. Is there really any point in discussing G5 "already"? I mean, is there any plans on the show ending next season or something that i don't know about? Otherwise, as long as they make it good, I don't really care. Ponies ponies ponies. Oh yeah I do love the show as it is now, but that doesn't mean it would be horrible if they changed it.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix7vrluEm4E Welcome to pony(forums) todaaay! I mean yesterday. I MEAN TODAY.... I MEAN... SOMEDAY
  21. Noone likes Beethoven? Well... Beethoven would be great, he could finish his 9th symphony... and make some more of them! I think Johann Sebastian Bach and Brahms are slightly better, but Beethoven is a master too. I'm not much into other kinds of music, or well, I like other kinds of music, but I don't listen to it
  22. I'm Swedish, so english is not my mother-language... However, I'm REALLY good at english to be honest, yes I like bragging about that. I got an A in it, aswell as a real lot of money for being so good at it, when I graduated from high-school. I also used to know some German, I was very good at that aswell, but I've stopped reading it at school, and I've forgotten most of it by now, but if I would take more german classes it would probably all come back I guess... But I don't have much reason to take any more german classes. A sentence I will never forget however, is below... it's a long story. I'm not really interested in knowing any other languages, I guess it would be somewhat useful to know Russian, or Hebrew, or Greek.... But it would take too much time to learn all of that. "Ich bevurzuge käsewürstchen" It means: I prefer small, cheese-filled sausages"
  23. Answering a question like this is ALMOST as hard as answering "What parent would you rather be without?" or "what pony would you rather be without?" - It would be REALLY impossible to answer those two, but this question that you are asking, is simlar in the "if" thing. I voted sight, but I don't like the question anyway. We need ALLOFEM!
  24. Blue-green with some yellow around the pupil. Yes, serious. I think it's pretty rare to have two colours like that, I mean, TWO colours, not a combination like green-blue, but two colours. It's probably not that rare, I've seen other people have it, but that's not so many.
  25. I must say these look... Weird, and a bit "fake" - well, they can't really be "fake", it just seems like a kind of scam to lure bronies off money. Sure, they look kinda nice, and the creativity of the creators is undeniable. But 20 dollars for one small "bronycoin"? Nah... But well, if you like it, you can buy them
