My mother owns a separate property that she usually rents out to someone. It's her other source of income.
However, the current renter has tested positive for Covid, and we still have to collect rent from her. We collect rent together.

My mother SHOULD be fine. As a medical worker, she recently got vaccinated, so she should be immune to Covid. -If it works- I am not sure about my own immunity. I have NOT been vaccinated, but I am young and healthy. So while I'm not a priority for such medicine, hopefully I am healthy enough that, with safe practices, I can avoid catching it or anything. ...Right?

Pray for us, my crowd. This is not going to be easy.

Yep. Day late again. I was enjoying my time so much that I ran out of time to do this last night.  Let's just move on and get right into it, shall we?

 Memorial Day! ...Was actually kind of slow and boring for me.  Nothing really big happened that day. Maybe no news is good news? At least I got the day off of work.

 The washing machine is fixed. There was a part that burned out, and because of bad electrical wiring, a part within the washing machine took the hit. Could have been worse; there could have been a fire. The part has been replaced, and I just recently bought and installed a surge protector. Which means that if there is another power surge due to rain and lightning, the surge protector will take the hit instead of the washing machine. I bought one for my very first computer, have not regretted it since. Still use it to this day!

 Speaking of buying things, I recently went shopping!  But it wasn't all good news. Went to my favorite clothing store first, found a TON of clothes that I was super interested in, only to find out... They have closed their dressing rooms due to COVID.  Trying clothes on is half the point! You can never fully tell just by holding them up to you. Thankfully, the green shirt I had my eyes on was also available in two sizes bigger. I bought that, and after washing and drying, it managed to fit just right. Those who know how clothes shrink in the dryer will understand. Also, I got a wired Nintendo Switch (Pro?) Controller. It was cheap, has all the buttons I could ask for, and I managed to make it work with my PC after a little bit of toying around. And now, I am getting the hang of using it on my PC games. Just recently installed Rocket League too~!

 Went to the dentist to see what was wrong with my tooth. I thought for sure the filling material was wearing away, but the dentist assured me that my tooth was just fine. He suggested I switch to a different brand of toothpaste, one that has potassium nitrate as it's active ingredient. I'm a little skeptical so far, but I need to use it for a month before I notice any changes. If nothing happens, then I'll go back and have them investigate even further. I hate that I spent $120 on an examination just for advice like that, but the upside is that I could have been charged way more for an actual operation. And I wouldn't have thought of this solution on my own anyways, so there. If I could have, I wouldn't have booked that appointment in the first place.

 MOVIE TIME!  Netflix Godzilla Trilogy. Heavy is the beast that wears the crown... Yep, despite being completely CGI, this is an anime movie trilogy about Goji. It's set in an alternate, what-if storyline where humans ran to space to get away from Godzilla, got tired of being stranded in the stars, and went back to see if they could take their planet back. Ultimately, I thought it was good! The ending was heavier and way more philosophical than I expected. It ends by giving you a lot to think about, and maybe wondering how the events could have gone if certain things were done differently. If you're the kind of person who might ask "Why did they run in the first place?", this is not the trilogy for you. If all you wanted was to see humanity reclaim their glory, this is not for you. If all you care about is the destruction and some monster fights, then your enjoyment might be arguable. But if you want a Godzilla story with an actual story that makes you think and reflect, then this is right up your alley. Maybe someday I'll also get to see the Godzilla series Singularity Point. Next time, hopefully I can watch some Tokusatsu movies.

 Zenkaiger 14: Thank You For Watching!  Ladies and gentlemen, in case you didn't feel like you got enough in Gokaiger, this is the moment you've all been waiting for. It's the moment when the heroes rapid-fire different Sentai powers one after another for a grand show! They probably could have done this forever and a day, but I think you get the idea with this much. Zenkaizer and Twokaizer would just keep countering each other forever. From here, I feel like we're sinking into a sense of status quo. I do hope the show has more surprises in store. This episode's big story reveal was kind of paper thin and the episode preview doesn't make me think we're going to get a major story-based episode next time. Still, the battle was pretty good.

 Saber 38: The Sword that Writes!  The turn-around moment for Kento, I felt, was less than perfect. In some ways, it was good. In other ways, that scene could have been written better. I think what a lot of fans will probably miss is that his father (probably) actually is dead, and therefore the ghost of his father is lying about being alive right now to prove that the Sword of Darkness is lying to Kento about its future visions (which it is). Still, this was an epic debut for Xross Saber! I do wish we could have seen the return of Espada since they teased it, but maybe next episode it'll happen. For now, all hail the supreme sword.

I was just eating @Muffinnz and a @ToastedScone, feeling kind of @Cwanky, when an idea stuck me like a wild beast's @PoisonClaw. What if we invent a perpetual @SolarFlare13? No? Maybe you're right. First, we'd need to invent infinite @EpicEnergy. I can't even heat up my beverages properly, they're always @Stone Cold Steve Tuna. But I promise I have an @Emerald Heart of gold, and I'm full of @Astral Soul power! Sometimes I just get lost in the @Windy Breeze and I just need a @GeneralDirection on how to get back home. And don't show me your @AppleButt under the @Twilight Skies! I was trying to make this a @Platinum Night to remember, now it's just a @Treeglow Flicker  of what it could have been. But it'll be okay, I just learned how to unlock the @Dark Horse in my favorite video game. Just grab the controller, press up on the @Dynamo Pad during the cutscene, and you'll be ready to go by @Rising Dusk. Just be sure to get some sleep at night so you can say "@Deae Rising Shine~!" in the morning; don't stay up past @Midnight Danny. With proper education, a simple @Sparklefan1234 of imagination could lead to wondrous things! But for now... Can you smell what @TheRockARooster is cooking?

It's nice to get a break every now and then.

I got a free refill on my medications today.
I've also begun clearing out some things on my DA account. I think I am going to make some changes there. I'll still be following people, but I'll be turning off notifications about the stuff they upload. Makes me wonder if I should notify my followers about it... 
And I treated myself to a watermelon-flavored energy drink. Nice way to end the day. 

And according to my mother, her renter does NOT have Covid. The renter said she "got over it", but she got over it WAY too fast. Makes us both think she was lying about it after all...  Not sure why. She still payed her monthly rental fee, so if she was trying to get out of that, she failed.

Hello there, my crowd! Welcome to my Weekly Musings: Red Edition.

 This week has been interesting, to say the least. Not how I expected things to go, but not bad either. For the most part, I am just left at a crossroad...

 The biggest thing that happened this month was that I got a shocking letter in the mail...  Apparently, my health insurance has not been covering all my medical expenses after all. It's covered medicine and regular doctor visits. However, when it comes to lab work and ultrasounds, anything that could be considered an operation, they only pay over half of those expenses. Now I am left with a bill of over $1500 dollars, and I was still expecting approval for one more operation, a CAT Scan. Well, I finally got approval, but the question is... Do I even want to continue? I half expected to pay some bills for all this. A few hundred here or there would have been fine with me. But over $1500?! And all for drawing a few meager viles of blood and scanning one little section of my body? Do I even want to do more? Should this be the end of my medical journey? Should I just accept the medical problems I have? I just wish I had some perspective to help me decide what to do next...

 I've been managing my time better, but what keeps interfering is that I am going over to help with the renovations at my mother's rental property. They are doing so much work over there, and I just want offer as much help as possible.  Thing is, they barely need my help, but you never know! One day, I actually helped haul out an old cast-iron bathtub. Thing weight a ton, but it was rotting away and had to go.

 I got my window fixed!  The neighbor finally put in a replacement. ...And cracked another window next to it while putting it in, but don't worry! He's going to fix that too. Let's just hope this doesn't become a running thing.

 Wow! The weather, am I right? The last few days this week have been wild. Two days were cold in a row, then it warmed back up, and now another cold front is coming in! Please just stay cold, weather. I was really having fun dressing in my cool season clothes!

 NO RISE OF THE TMNT THIS WEEK! Because other things got in the way, I ran out of time to see the remaining episodes I have recorded. Next week for sure! 

 Saber 06: Please, Hide the Ninja!  Frustrating. Simply frustrating! That’s the only word I can use to describe this episode. Something about Saber’s sword getting sealed, and now he has to find a path to some sacred land to fix it, but the villains want that path opened up as well. Zoous killed Blades’ (Blaze?) former master. The new ninja Rider is more annoying than Naruto; he’s like a kid that only knows how to rough house. But if Kenzan is a ninja, does that mean the sacred sword Riders could be ANY kind of swordsman? Does that mean a samurai Kamen Rider could join them later maybe?! Either way, it’s a slow burn of an episode that doesn’t really resolve much. If anything, I feel completely lost, and the ever growing roster of characters isn’t making this show better for me.

 Saber 07: What in Blue Blazes?!This was a much better episode, but still kind of a slow burn. The saving grace is that we didn’t have to hear from Kenzan. They are basically building up these episodes as a multi-episode story arc. Saber went to the sacred land of Avalon, but Calibur followed him. Saber managed to collect the King of Arthur book, but we barely got to see its powers in action. It seems the team has their own version of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. And unlike Saber who can do so whenever he wants, it seems using 3 books really puts a strain on Blades. Really good world building so far!

 Kiramager 27: Peridot Predicament!  Well, this was Green’s episode. I do honestly feel like Yodonna raises the stakes of the show. But outside of that, the real highlight was seeing Ms. Misaki and her daughter again, as well as some flashback footage of GekiRanger. All of those scenes MADE this episode! They could have just left SCRTC as just a random piece of scenery for long-time Super Sentai fans, but the fact they went this far is a real joy. Gekiranger is about 13 years old by now! Most kids in Japan have probably never seen GekiRanger. So it’s nice to see the franchise has not forgotten its history outside of major Super Sentai specials. I wonder if anyone who made Gekiranger is working on Kiramager. Maybe a writer or director? Though, to be honest, the Kiramagers have more in common with the Go-Ongers.

 Kiramager 28: Setting the Sodalite Stage! Blue’s episode! This one was kind of a slow burn, not to mention an exposition dump. Basically, the team managed to recruit a mentor stone, one that looks more metal than stone. Such a grandpa, he is. Worst part of it is that when he finally joined the fight and started showing what he could do, the episode was over! It really did feel like this episode ended too quickly. Hopefully the next one will make up for it.

 One last thing, I have been updating my LiveJournal with more posts. Go check it out! Just finished posting all the notes for every episode of Kamen Rider Decade.

It begins yet again, my crowd!  Shall we talk about it?

 Can't say anything BIG happened this week. At least nothing in a personal way that deserves top comment. I was suppose to buy some bed sheets this week, but all the shops had a terrible selection, so I had to stick to online shopping. Haven't found a good deal just yet, but maybe soon. Did some mowing, but I'm not done.  Maybe soon, something big will happen. For now, my mother is having back pains, so I mostly just want to help her.

 But there WAS something big that happened for Sonic the Hedgehog!  Did anyone else see that Sonic Central video? It came around at the same time as the newest Nintendo Direct video, but man there was so much to get excited about!! New merch, new games, and the next season of Sonic Prime was teased! Also, never expected to see a rapping Eggman. I am so hyped! I thought it was just going to be DLC for Sonic Frontiers; I didn't expect all this! ... I wonder which game will become more popular, Sonic Superstars or Super Mario Bros. Wonder? The friendly competition is real!

 Sadly, I can't say that I was equally happy watching the newest season of MLP G5.  I caved in because of Celestia, but I knew it wouldn't be the epic season I was hoping it would be. I'm sorry, but it just sucked. It was proof that the writers are terrible and that they clearly don't know the G4 characters as well as well as we do. Somehow, the current generation of ponies have gotten even dumber. One episode in particular promoted an illegal message I can't support. The way Celestia and Luna were portrayed is not only inaccurate, but I am beginning to think the writers have only done random Google searches on these characters and the show. I don't think they are familiar with the G4 lore as we are, otherwise they would have known that young Celestia had a pink mane, not a rainbow one. If you want my honest opinion, just skip to the last episode of the season. It's the only reason to watch, and even that one doesn't quite nail the landing.

 Did anyone catch that Kraven the Hunter trailer?  ...I'd see that.

 Geats 39: One Wish Per Round!  So despite getting Creation powers, Geats can't make everything happen all at once. It's essentially like granting a wish; but you can only grant one wish at a time. As a result, Jamato still exist. We have some admins that stuck around after all. There's a new Jamato creator and we finally get to see who the new Game Master is too! Is this a familiar face?! It looks like Ace is trying to make all those previous, selfless wishes come true by himself, but can he really do it alone? Does he need someone else to make the wish? Can a wish even be granted without Riders competing in a DGP? It's not much of grand prix if it's only one person.

 Geats 40: Tragedy Reborn!  Oh, that hurt... Well played, episode. You lulled us into a false sense of calm and joy, and then you ripped it from us in the most cruel way possible. For the evil admins, this is just another Tuesday. But for us and for Tycoon? It hits so much harder. We got to know and love Tycoon's sister. And now, like many Riders before him, Tycoon will be a Rider born of sorrow and a desire for righteous revenge. They really played our heroes like fiddles, and used poor Buffa like a pawn. If it were me, I wouldn't push my luck against a Rider with reality-changing powers. But we all know that won't stop someone who is truly corrupt.

 King-Oh 16: Sisters In Arms!  Once again I say, well played, episode. I was totally ready to see how Racles and Deathnarok mess this up, but instead we are forced to wait for gratification. Instead, what we get is a rather surprising and pleasant episode. We learn that The Fury Of The Gods as a man-made tragedy. We learn more about Purple's origins, which leads to some unlikely bonding between her and Yellow. I swear, if you didn't like Yellow before, how can you not after an episode like this? And in the wake of death and despair, Purple is given a sliver of unlikely hope. These are the kind of episodes that make me hungry for more.

I give you a little Celestia so that you may have a little ray of light in your life.  Shall we discuss the week we just finished?

 The biggest thing that happened this week was Valentines Day!  I didn't do much for myself, and I have no special someone to spend it with right now. Still, I enjoyed it. My mother received a lot of candy and she's not a candy eater, so she sent the candy my way. ...I'll have to pace myself on it.  I was going to buy myself a copy of the Hamilton soundtrack, but I think I'll hold off. My favorite red pants suddenly developed a nasty hole in an inappropriate place, and my work shoes are falling apart.

 This week has also been SUPER WEIRD!  My mind is melting worse than hearing about Chris Pratt as Mario. We had a weird trailer for the Rescue Rangers movie. MLP G5 released teasers for their CalArts 2D style, and I'm just glad that it'll hopefully be a YouTube exclusive and not the main series. Other people have been having it worse than me this week. I just hope we start getting some better news this new week.

 GRIDMAN!  Episode 19, this was so bad that my brains are absolute mush. Dragonic Cannon became Dyna Fighter, but other then that, I'd prefer to forget this episode ever happened. Episode 20, this one had a GREAT story; feels like they were making up for the mind-numbing previous episode, also King Jet/Dragon Fortress debut. Episode 21, not a bad episode, but it had potential to be so much more, not to mention the problem was solved by a rather convenient mcguffin. Episode 22, it's actually pretty good if you don't think too much about the finer details, also Dyna Dragon debuts. Episode 23, really?! It took the villains this long to think about defeating Gridman first and foremost? The show is more than half over! Episode 24, and back to status quo as if the last episode never even happened, nor did they even try to debut something new.

 Zenkaiger 47: Worlds No-Longer Apart!  WOW! Talk about a triple shot of the feels! I wasn't expecting to have the feels over Stacey's story, but I actually felt bad for him. Makes me all the more glad he is switching sides. I was so cheering for him when he started fighting along side Twokaiser, who made an epic return. I was confused how he got there, but then the show answers the question just as they end the episode on the best cliff hanger they've ever had! Now I REALLY want to see the next episode!

 ReVice 16: Family First.  I called it. They aren't getting rid of Lord Giff, the stone statue is still in tact. Was not expecting Hiromi/Demons to become the new chief of Fenix, though. Are they setting up a failing health story? It was nice to see the mother coming to terms with her children being super heroes. Mostly there is not much to talk about for this episode, except for the fact that Ikki/Revi is horrified to see that some Deadmen cannot be saved. The human hosts are dying with their demonic partners. There have been many Rider shows that show the tragic dual nature of stories like this, but it's rare when the main  hero has to face it or shoulder the burden of murder. This theme was quickly touched on in the last episode, but it really carried over here. I hope they actually go somewhere with this instead of reviving these characters and making this whole thing a red herring.

 And now, it's... TOKUSATSU MOVIE SPECIAL TIME!  We're back at it with ReVice Mystery 2. For some reason, this episode really didn't do a good job of capturing my intrigue. The whole focus of the episode was the returning Riders from Double and Gaim. The story didn't progress at all, really. Sure, one of the main characters “died”, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's just a red haring. So excuse me if I decide to save my tears for now. Feels weird because the episode preview for this had me hyped, and yet after watching it, I just feel mellow. Let's hope Episode 3 will be better.

Occasionally, I might see people giving their Gundam model kits and toys a custom paint job. I might even see people building custom set pieces for their toys and miniatures. HARDLY do I ever see someone trying to recreate a set or a cockpit at the 1:1 scale, let alone from something animated!
