  1. There is a bitter squash that taste extremely bitter. I can't stand it.
  2. I think it would involve investing the time and money to create derivative works based on the show like the music, art, videos, games, merchandise and other works from the fans.
  3. As much as she has to be and portray herself as a Princess, she's still a normal pony in the sense that she still exhibits the emotion and feelings of her own. No matter what, she did the best as she can and to miss out on the special event makes her emotionally sad. Sometimes she has to let it all out and by her depiction of crying and regreting makes her a character who learns, grows and can express herself. The impact of the scene made me realize that even though she's Princess, she's still exhibits her own personal emotions in addition of her role as Princess and to see it makes her feel real.
  4. I thought he was a alien at first, kind of like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. They do look alike.
  5. Disappointing others due to my short comings.
  6. If it was released when the show and fandom was still a huge thing, the movie may of left a larger impact to the general public. Almost 7 years later, it struggles to even catch the radar and I believe that's why it performed the way it did.
  7. Sometimes I like to my avatar to represent my new works either in photography or by pony art. I've hadn't been keeping up with either of them since finalizing on my OC in particular but it's nice for a change occasionally.
  8. Since her real name is Fizzlepop Berrytwist, I would imagine her cutie mark looking like a fizzy soda bottle with a berry label on it. Then again, some cutie marks from the show don't represent the name of the pony either.
  9. Thanks for all the Brohoofs! /)

  10. I would think that Hasbro would like to ride on the Movie's initial release and awareness a bit further than just one more season. After something like a full feature film, I would like to see a couple more seasons perhaps maybe up to 9 just wrap up things up nicely to leave a positive, good and lasting impression for the show. Season 8 would potentially be about anymore needed characterization, plots or ideas and Season 9 is the season to finally to wrap and conclude things up for everything as a whole.
  11. The movie was good overall. I wished that maybe it was a little bit longer like a additional 20~30 mins because I think the ending would of benefit from more time. The exposition was good, the middle was good(albeit a bit longer) but the ending felt short and the resolution left me wanting a bit more satisfying ending but I understand the limited time frame. The animation was good but a majority of the movie was taken place in either in a dark environment(low light) or a dull setting so some of the colors and background scenes with the mane 6 didn't match well. This is particularly different seeing it this way in a visual perspective of MLP:FiM. When there is good lighting though, the characters are well define and the colors shines no doubt. The special effects was okay, even if it was rendered in a visually different way from the characters but it still flows right enough without feeling too CGI and overpowered from the 2-D. The sonic rainboom looked great in this regard. One scene though, the moment when Twilight and the others entered the Hippogriff's undersea home, they actually were about to die. Seeing it through Twilight's point of view, the screen fades to black as Twilight looks at her friends one last time when she hold on her last breath underwater. This scene was intense but of course, our heroes can't succumb by the death of water and was eventually saved. This scene really brings out the element of going to new unfamiliar places and the new dangers they pose for the characters and it was done pretty good. Most of the new characters were welcomed besides the Hippogriffs. Maybe if Twilight didn't drove themselves out of the Hippogriffs help with that sneaky little move of hers then maybe this movie may had a different take with the Hippogriffs helping out besides Princess Skystar. If the Hippogriffs as a whole and the Pearl played a larger role, the Storm King may of used the Pearl too for his ambitions but then again the Hippogriffs and the Pearl wasn't fully utilized. Queen Novo running out just to get her daughter at the end and not even caring about the state of Equestria is quite frankly the worst characterization I've seen and at the end credits she was even seen to be hugging and cuddling with Celestia for some apparent reason even though she didn't seemed to care about Equestria. This is just wrong. The Storm King while being evil, is quite powerless without his servant's help and eventually that causes backlash and the ultimate demise of him. Tempest has to deal with all that to not finally see the wish she was hoping for by becoming the Storm King's servant and getting back her horn, she has the okay in my books to get rid of him. Her reformation is good, quick and still means a lot in the end in all that she lived and went through. Her back story and motive was alright and we get to see the Ursa Major again from the show so that took me by surprise. Should Tempest be whole again with a new horn from saving Equestria? Or do unicorns never have the magical means of reconstructing their horns again once broken? Capper on the other hand was really a great addition. His sly, mischievous personality added a sort of flair and the Parrot pirates added fun to the feeling of the movie. These new characters are rather quick to introduce but reading the Prequel beforehand helped out with their characterization a lot in the movie. Aside from that, the Mane 6 is largely still the same mostly. With Pinkie Pie feeling like the representative of the other 5 at most times, I felt like she resonated and interacted with Twilight well enough while the others felt short of their roles just a little bit. Fluttershy was extremely quiet even for her until the end with her comforting one of the Storm King's goons but besides that she was just so quiet. Applejack did have a lot of dialouge which I find as a good thing and Rainbow was similar but with them exchanging dialouge with Twilight wasn't much. Rarity was more of the individual type and she was rather expressive of the other characters like Capper and the Pirates but also has her moments with interacting with the 5. Twilight, of course was the main driving force. Her depiction was similar in character in the beginning with her being nervous but her constant pursuit to find a way to alleviate her problem got to the best of her when she attempted to steal Queen Novo's Pearl. That's when she felt different by her motive and the resulting cause of the group splitting up temporary by it. Otherwise that, she learned to forgive and her friends also learn that too in order to stop the Storm King. Well..That almost covers up about my current thoughs about the movie and if I have more in mind, I'll see fit to write more. The movie is great for what it is and how I'm constructing this is based on what I see in the movie. It's not perfect and I shouldn't expect it to be but it's all that I have now until then.
  12. The Musical score was great in the movie. Really cinematic feeling with the bassy orchestra and string instruments tugging the emotional aspect of the characters and scenes into one. This is one of Daniel Ingram's most stunning work yet. It really draws you into the action, sincere, sad and funny parts of the movie so well. I didn't realize how much music can totally help set a tone for a scene, especially for a movie and definitely this one hits the spot. I'll see to add more later about the movie specifically but definitely the musical score has me moved and amazed.
  13. Usually waiting for my online purchases to arrive. Going and finding cool stuff at the thrift store. Coffee. Watching videos of cars/racing.
  14. Kelly Sheridan for Starlight Glimmer. She has a great voice and it's perfect for Starlight.
  15. Not particularly in the ocean but where land meets sea brings such sense of how two completely different forces of nature can collide together to create something beautiful. The crashing waves, the tall cliffs, the endless curves of the road brings on a meaning of a journey like no other.
  16. There was this one Youtube video where a student calculated Rainbow Dash's speed using physics for a school project presentation.
  17. I would love to travel on the Pacific Coast Hwy from Oregon all the way down to Southern California.
  18. Season 7 definitely is one of the best seasons for me. I like the overall direction with continuity and references to the older seasons and character development. One thing though, season 7 does introduces several new characters and their respective past stories/legends in which none of the other seasons had ever even attempted. Mistmane being the most alluding tale and personal favorite really makes this particular season stand out for me. With the addition of some really great episodes and memorable moments like "A Royal Problem" and finally the humble introduction of the Apple Parents in "The Perfect Pear", I think it's a great season in the amount of content and quality that the show delivers.
  19. When Zecora contracts a fatal disease by accident, Fluttershy goes out of her way to find a cure for her friend. Fluttershy's determination and drive in this episode reminded me of the episode, "Fluttershy Leans In" when she strived and pursue on what's right in order to help the animals for her sanctuary. Same ideal and certainly this episode continues on that momentum. I can see Fluttershy developing into a pony that can stand up and fight for what's right. Her courage and strength within herself really shows, even when she took on the fight against the bees despite her weakness from contracting the disease in order to help her friend in need. It wasn't until she realized that her very own health wasn't looking great, then she possibly couldn't help Zecora too. This shows that in order to help others, you must first be the best of your own abilities. I enjoyed every last bit of this episode. With the additional inclusion of Zecora(twice a week!), Twilight's support for Fluttershy's goal and the introduction of Meadowbrook as an historically tied character, this episode is a definitely a good one.
  20. I agree on @Prospekt said. I feel like I can relate to certain characters because these characters feel so real.
  21. It first started with my first pony merchandise, a Derpy Build-a-Bear plush. After that it was more plushes and toys but it got for real when I started collecting stuff I find from the thrift store. Good thing that the thrift is relatively inexpensive and most of the merchandise is still in good condition albeit being opened. I've actually saved a lot of money this way and still have a sizable collection. I also like looking for used books and comics at the thrift and if I'm lucky, I hit some good finds. About 60% of my entire collection is from the thrift and I've imagine if I were to pay full retail price for some of the merchandise I find. Here's some of my finds from the thrift.
