foxy the pirate in five nights at Freddy's 2

I hate that part, too.

For me it’s the part where the Crying Child dies in FNAF 4 on Night 6. I actually predicted the ending pretty accurately so I knew it would happen but it’s the fact that it did happen that was sad. The kid reminded me of when I was a really quiet and friendless person so it touched me a little more personally, too.

White palace in Hollow Knight, not a bad area by any means but it's a lot weaker than the rest of the game, I would have liked to see another boss instead of a bunch of tedious platform challenges. Some fans of the game will say Deepnest but I honestly find it a great area.

I thought of something in The Witcher 3, but it’s a rather minor one. Going to the points of interest in Skellige. Boating is annoying in comparison to horse ride

Let's see. One of them definitely in Fire Emblem: Awakening. Lunatic+ mode, chapter 2. Completing this chapter without sacrificing any of my comrades was the most difficult part in this game for me.

Oh, that reminds me a new favorite game with an awful part: Sothis paralogue in Three Houses. Maybe it was the first time, but that battle was difficult. Unlimited enemy monster reinforcements, strong for that part of the game, and still too early for lacking any meaningful experience with those guys

Some examples:

The Wreck on the Deck levels from Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights

Buggy Byway in the original Motorstorm

The final tournament in Hot Wheels: Beat That

The Juggernaut missions from Twisted Metal (2012)

I could keep going, but I think I've made my point.

I love Paper Mario but I always dread the petal meadows the most cos of the fetch quests. I hate having to collect a bunch of fruits for those picky trees while dodging the most annoying enemies in the game ~.~

Dark Souls: Tomb of the Giants. Easily the worst part of the game and it is a place where any idea of fair challenge is thrown out of the window. Not being able to see much at all isn't fun. Not being able to see much at all while dealing with insanely overpowered enemies that can straight up kill you in one attack is a disaster. Playing through the game several times now has given me the edge over this area, pyromancy kicks the skellies in their non-existent groin, but that doesn't fix the overall problems in design. What's worse is that the 4 legged skellos are bastards to deal with, yet Gravelord Nito, the boss at the end of this nightmare, is mostly a pushover.

Resident Evil 4: Ashley. Seriously, this character can rot in gaming hell. Absolutely everything about her is infuriating. Her absolute worthlessness, her voice, her being damsel in distress incarnate. I get that this kind of stuff is Japanese 101, but it brings down a game that is a masterpiece otherwise. Personally, I would highly prefer some retcon that she get's killed by a giant cinnamon bun or some shit. Oh and I also hate that the writing feels the need to constantly call Leon "American", that too is just one of many Japanese cliches.

Animal Crossing New Horizons: No cloud save support, because Nintendo just has to be Nintendo.

Stubbs the Zombie: Too. Damn. Short. And no sequel.

My least favorite part of Batman: Arkham City is chasing the assassin to the League of Shadows base.

The reason I dislike it is because Arkham City itself is dark which, makes it difficult to navigate.

When I trap Megan (a girl) instead of the Auger (the bad guys), in Night Trap. (Game Grumps did the same in their playthrough). Though, it can also be a favorite moment, since she is annoying! It is a game over at a late stage in game though :unamused:

  • Paper Mario Thousand Year Door: Backtracking gets pretty tedious
  • Yume Nikki: It's less of a game and more of a walking stimulator, so it isn't terribly exciting if I'm not in the mood for atmosphere
  • Pokemon Platinum: It takes a while to get really interesting
  • Crash Bandicoot 2: Some platforming segments that involve Gems are very punishing in when you lose a life

The spinning pillars near the end of the first God of War. Anyone who’s ever played it will know what exactly what I mean :glimmer:

Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for.

I don't really know what my favorite game is, exactly, so here's some moments from games that have a good claim to the title:

- High Lord Wolnir in DS3. Stupid gimmicky boss in an otherwise great game.

- Nearly every single minigame in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. I love both games, but going for the 100% is always a chore.

- Not being allowed to kill Delphine in Skyrim.

- The platforming sections in Doom Eternal

- The Khan Maykr boss fight in Doom Eternal

Honorable mentions that are always the worst part of any game they appear in:

- Any forced stealth section that you instantly fail upon detection

- Anything with an arbitrary time limit

- 'cinematic' camera angles that change at the worst possible moments.

I love the original Star Fox game for the SNES. But there is one part that always annoys me on the hardest route (Route 3). The first encounter with The Great Commander when you reach the planet Venom. The concept of the boss fight is very simple, you fly towards eachother and you just have to shoot out its weak spots. However, it is always bloody annoying shooting out the final weak point and it takes several passes before you're lucky enough to hit it.  The weak points are pretty much six small hatches that repeatedly open and close. Very difficult to time your shots to hit the final hatch while it's open. Especially when your have constant death flying towards you when you get in range.

My favourite game is Sonic Adventure but I absolutely hate Sonic's version of the Sky Deck stage, so many cheap ways to die and feels more based on luck whether you do. Always hate having to get through it on a playthrough.

This isn't exactly a "part" in the sense that it's not really plot-related, but the multiplayer on Animal Crossing New Horizons is pretty badly implemented.  If you want one or two visitors, it's not too bad, but making your island open to the public is pretty insane.

I think the way Nintendo implemented it was:  "Okay, someone is coming onto the island, so we're going to lock all the furniture-objects in the game in place, then have every Switch reload its game-world with those furniture-objects fixed in place!"  ...But then when someone new comes to the island, every Switch needs to reload everything all over again!  They shouldn't need to do that when they already know where everything is!  It just adds unnecessary load-time for everyone else...

Paper Mario TTYD: chapter 5 backtracking.

The part on the island?

Because chapter 4 had a lot of backtracking between the Twilight Town and Creepy Steeple too and most complainers I've seen all pointed to Chapter 4 more than Chapter 5 as unnecessary backtracking
