When did you stop believing in Santa?

I think I was eight, but it happened in a pretty weird way. I never had that thing where I was shocked about finding out Santa didn't exist, angry about being lied to or anything like that. I just remember one of my friends talking to me about how embarrassing he thought it was that some kids still believed in Santa at that age. I just said something to show I supposedly agreed with him. As I wasn't shocked about the whole thing at all and knew to respond in the expected way, I guess I hadn't really believed in him in a while – I just hadn't given his existence or lack thereof any particular thought.

I think I stopped believing in Santa when I was around 9 or 10. But I never really believed in Santa anyways (I only fake it), but I remembered when I was in 4th grade, others used to ask me if I ever believed in Santa (only to tease me since I was a really sensitive kid at the time and always got bullied).

I was 18. Yep you heard that right  . Though I admittedly wasn’t entirely sold on it, like I was open to him not existing. Reason I believed for so long was I received mail from his supposed address when I was younger, so I kept believing. That is until a friend said “I believe the post office sends those out to kids for fun.” So I was like “oh  …”.
