music Best Video Game Soundtracks

I absolutely love the Metroid Prime trilogy soundtracks. The atmosphere it sets is perfect, even when I'm not playing the game and just listening on my stereo or in my car, it sets this mood of adventure and exploration

When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move,
your job is to plant yourself like a tree next to the river of truth, and tell the whole world
"No, you move."

Well now, don't forget Ockeroid's K.O.L.M., and all of the Creeper Worlds, especially the latest installment, Arc Eternal, by Finn MK.

If anypony knows how to attach a banner on my computer as my sig, please tell me.

Most of the sonic games, Super Robot Wars series (I bet they have one of the best) and Megaman Zero and most of the megaman series but Megaman Zero wins in terms of awesome soundtrack, even for a gba game.

  • Brohoof 1

It doesn't count if it's licensed music that exists independent of the game. Like the Grand Theft Auto sound tracks, that's just normal music from bands that you could buy elsewhere. What's the point?

I can list a few exceptionally great songs from Final Fantasy VI, including: "Terra", "Save Them!", "The Decisive Battle", "Edgar & Sabin", "Devil's Lab", "Mt. Kolts", the pieces used in the Opera scenes, "New Continent", "Last Dungeon", "Battle to the Death" and of course, probably mentioned in this thread, the entirety of Dancing Mad.

The Super NES wasn't even three years old when the game was released. It does show how Nobuo was ahead of his time.

(coming soon)
