I feel like being a Brony has changed me as a person and my life.

I really enjoy the message of love, tolerance, and friendship is this community.

It has made me strive to be a better and more understanding person/friend.

Being this way has impacted my happiness in the most positive way imaginable.

Yes and no. Before I thought I was a good friend but watching this show has showed me how I can be a better friend.

It hasn't changed me drastically like some other bronies but has changed me a little

Yes, I have lost many friends. They don't accept me like this. It's really sad. That's why I wanna many brony friends (anyone can send request, btw).

But I'm more friendly now. And I got some really good brony friends. ... But I don't have IRL life anymore. But, It's okay.

most of my friends are okay with it, other not so much

becoming a pegasister is one of the best things that's happened cuz it had a welcoming community

As I've said before, it made me far more understanding and less judgmental. Some of the same fandom shaming I would have taken part in and laughed right along with about five years ago disgusts me to my very core now because I've truly been at the other end of that barrel and understand how bad it feels after being in this community for so long and seeing the shit it results in.

About the time that kid got driven to trying to hand himself I fully made the heel-face turn and walked away from that kind of immature and hateful behavior of picking on innocent targets just for being a little "eccentric" for good.

If I need to look down on someone I'll look down on the real scum. The people that have to belittle others to feel tough.

It's been a long time since I posted in this topic so I've got something of an update:

I would say that being a brony has taught me a lot of things. Whether it was learning to deal with the criticisms and bullying over being a brony or seeing my life in a totally different perspective after interacting with everyone on this site and beyond I learned a lot about myself.

I feel that even if i were to leave the brony fandom I came out of it all as a better person. Thank you bronies, you've done my life a grand service. I can only hope I can inspire others in the same way.

Certainly has for me, I used to actually be a bit of a hater on the whole brony community, until I finally gave it all a chance, I actually have since then been trying to better myself as a person, not judging everything, or being cynical... I have been trying to be a lot more kind to people everyday, I try to do it for at least one random and a friend or two each day. :D

Thank you Apple, I love it so much!

Normally I would just post the picture, but as it seems, it is too big to put in the signature here, so here is the link to my MLP personality test results:

How much did the show affect you? What are you doing after watching the show? Did it change your perspective? Your personality?

It changed my mood from dull to happy every day :)

  • I make an effort to be nicer now.

I'm making art again.

I associate with more people.

I have more confidence than before, which is weird because that was caused by my watching My Little Pony.

I was finally persuaded to give Doctor Who a try, and that caused a whole of happenings by itself.

In the past one and a half months of being a brony, I've got the sudden urge to make more friends (which will be hard).  I'm also more optimistic and open-minded now.  And, I no longer hate bronies like I used to :D.  In fact, I don't hate very much of anything anymore, but I don't think that change is a result of MLP.

- I'm much happier, and more optimistic.

- I've started dreaming more about my future goals/ etc.

- I have become far more open minded.

- I value my friends much more than I did.

- I try much harder to make everyone else feel happier.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. It's funny how many positive effects this show has on people...  :)

I'm sure this thread already exists, and objectively, it didn't. It just slightly expanded my pool of friends at a time where I was already undergoing a lot of maturation caused independently of the show and it's morals.

Well, since I have started watching the show I am a LOT more open minded now than I use to be, and could care less about what other people do as long as it doesn't hurt me or anyone else around me, I also have meant SO many other people on the forums through Skype so I actually have people to talk to about the show and to pal around with, so yea...the show actually has effected my life in an AWESOME way. :yay:

I found MLP just after the passing of my dad, things were rough and I was extremely depressed, I stopped setting friends and would spend days crying, but then this amazing show entered my life, it wasn't an instantaneous change but in time with help from the show I felt better, I started laughing and smiling and since then it has made me a more outgoing, happy and kind person.

The show helped me deal with my grief, Post traumatic stress disorder, and my anxiety, it's worked better then any medication ever has, and I know no matter how hard things may be I have these ponies to lighten my day.

MLP really opened up my personality to let it bloom, I feel like a whole new, and better person today than I was a few years back. ^^

Before My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic I was a careless ruthless pile of space matter. Now I am a brighter and more possitive thinker. I have a better outlook at life and completely despite nasty/rude people but still respect them enough to show them love and kindess. I'd say it had a pretty big impact on me as a person.

It not only changed my life, it saved it.

A. The great change of moral direction.

B. The ability to open up and be willing to make relationships with people.

C. The sheer happiness I get thinking about the changes I have made.

D. The introdcution to some of the nicest people I have ever met.

E. Taking me from the gutter, and the ugly prideful self righteous seclusion, and built character, a sense of courage to face people and problems the right thing, and the ability to create social structure for myself altogether.

I love My Little Pony so much haha, it has done so much more than I have even listed.

MLP taught me to chase my dreams no matter how long the road may be. Deep. But true.

And im doing it, 2 hours a day im slowly becoming a great electronic musician.

MLP also made me a better and a less close-minded person   :squee:
