What makes you calm, relaxed, or happy?

When I'm bored, (believe it or not, I'm almost NEVER bored!) I usually just unwind and relax towards my gaming stuff like my 3DS or chat with my friends here on the forums.

 

That's pretty much what I do when I'm stressed out as well.

When I want to relax, I grab a book and put on my music, pour a glass whiskey, then sit in my chair and read for a few hours. Really takes the edge off.

 

On days when the stress is exceedingly bad, however, I turn on some classical music and smoke my hookah pipe. Then I just sit there and do nothing. No thinking, no moving. Just existing.

When I'm stressed out, I play Minecraft or some other game that helps me relax. When that doesn't do the trick, I either listen to music or read. Sometimes both.

I just go for a drive and listen to music, I have said it before that engines just have a relaxing effects on me as well as driving and then the music too. All of it just makes me feel relaxed, also just sitting in front of my computer watching burnouts and listening to music.

Well for a while I drank to cope with stress.....Wouldn't recommend it but generally game, Listen to music, have a shower or chuck on some Good ol MLP when all else fails. :3 always does the trick.

Usually when I get like extremely stressed out with everything, I would just try and temporarily forget all that's around me and put on some soft and soothing instrumental music. I'd then close my eyes and try and relax for the moment whilst taking deep breaths.

I have a lot of things I find to be relaxing when Im stressed. I dont want to over do it so, I'll just lis a few.

  • Playing video games
  • Listening to music
  • Drawing 
  • Eating 
  • Watching a favorite series 
  • Even browsing the forums is relaxing to me

I either go on the internet and look at random things, squeeze a stuffed animal, or I google what problem I'm stressed about to see who else is/was in the same boat. It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one stressed out about a certain thing.

I commonly get stressed while studying for college exams. I would literally spend like 10+ hours for 2-3 days trying to cram as much info as possible because i procrastinated.To help make me feel better, I would usually sit in a comfy chair with a blanket, eating snacks and listening to 1-hour instrumental study music on youtube while i study. When I felt excessively burned out, I'd boil some tea, take a nap, hang on the internet/play games for 30 minutes, lay on the couch, or take a really long shower just to gather my thoughts. The showers especially helped me because I tend to think most clearly while taking a hot shower.

The first thing would be music, i'm able to get rid of all my fustrations through it, secondly realy watchin MLP has a way to just calm me right down, other then that late night talk radio

I'd say watching either MLP:FiM or Retsupurae cheers me up quite nicely. They make the perfect antidepressant for me, personally.

Of course, talking to all you rascals on the forums helps too. ;D

When I need to mellow out I usually go for a short drive and/or light up a cigarette.

Sadly, not much makes me feel happy or calm anymore. I guess that is what depression does, leeches the enjoyment out of pretty much anything. I guess if I had anything, it is:

 

Music

Rain

Snow

Cold weather (I absolutely love cold weather)

Food

Ranting to myself

 

I would say some other things like video games or doing something productive, but those have little to no effect on me nowadays.

This is a short list but these things I do particularly enjoy

 

Watching a favorite episode or clip

Watching a favorite series

That moment after you've completed an assignment or test and you can finally relax

Listening to my favorite music

Cooling off and hanging out on forums like here

I started to get stressed often recently(I'm not use to doing so much work), but some things that help me out are:

- Music. It makes me feel happy for a bit.

- Talking to someone of the opposite gender. In my case I talk to girls, and for some feason unknown to man, it helps.

- Watching videos that makes you go wow

- Playing video games. Be careful if you play like Call of Duty or something. It can go either way.

Simple Man by Lynard Skynard and the Deftones cover. Deathblow by Defttones and Hey Ocean any song really but the end all be all relaxing songs is anything by Bob Marley Love that man, I would go Gay for him That's how much i love that dude. And im not Gay! LOL ;)

What I would say makes me calm, relaxed or happy:

 

- Playing with my cats.

- Watching funny videos

- Surfing the internet

- Playing games

- Hanging out with my family and friends

- Watching MLP (or any of my other favorite shows, for that matter)
