A Dog's Life by, um, Ann something. I love books like that where stories are told from an animal's POV for a change.

So, what can we find on your bookshelf? Tell us what genres you have and/or books you really love to read - aka favorite books. Or maybe you have a book in russian, even tho you don't speak any...?

This thread isn't meant for you to do a list - you tell about your bookshelf. Favorite books and genres - and maybe some books that you wonder why they're in your shelf!

So my bookshelf has mostly fantasy in it. I have all the Harry Potter books in finnish and almost all of them in english (Chamber of Secrets is missing somehow...) OFC I have His Dark Materials and Narnia and (well, a part) of the Lord of the Rings.

Most of my shelf is mangas, tho.I'm the proud owner of a collection of over 300 manga books~

I have a few of the "classics" - like Gone with the wind and Treasure Island and a Miss Marple collection - but somehow I've never actually read them...

Oh oh oh and I have a wonderful book about symbols and signs~ It's a subject that has always fascinated me. The book is my baby~ (it was originally 30 euros or more, I don't remember, but I bought it with 10  )

~ So tell us about your bookshelf!

A s***load of Star Trek. In English, French, and even some in Turkish. Mainly TOS, the rest being TNG.

Fantasy (including E.Allan Poe) is also omnipresent. Just like science, conventional or "new", real or fictional.

Plus a few comics (Tintin, Asterix) in all three aforementioned languages, as well as albums of Turkish newspaper cartoons. And some animal books (such as A Dog's Life that I nearly finished reading now), not to mention stories of Aspies like my big sis.

Finally, a certain number of rulebooks and guides (language, self-help, studies, driving...) that haven't been touched in ages.

They're not exactly mine, but they are on bookshelves I pick from. ;P

Most (if not all) of the main Warriors series (the one about cats), some Star Trek books (my brothers, not mine. Unsure why they're on my shelf  ), some other fantasy stuff, a couple Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books (which I've never read :P), a lot of Star Wars stuff, some comics, and then a shelf of who knows what. Here's a picture of each shelf:

Top two (These aren't books, but happen to be on my shelf haha):

let's see....

Stephen King

Orson Scott Card's Ender Series

Chuck Palinhiuk (writer of Fight Club)

More Stephen King

Douglas Adams (Hitchhiker's Guide)

H.P. Lovecraft

Even more Stephen King

And that's my bookshelf at a glance.

I'm pretty cool. I think.

Also, new OC (it has a cutie mark this time!).

My bookshelf does contain any books right now, I keep some of my games up there, and some random DVDs which I'm still not sure the what contents are.

Necronomicon - A collection of H.P. Lovecraft's work. For those of you who don't know about him, he wrote horror and macabre stories in general. He's also known for coming up with Cthulhu.

I personally suggest that you read "The Outsider" a really good short story.

I'd like to thank the MLP Vector Club for the images used in my avatar.

Known as "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza", "Trixie the Great", "Tom" and "Tomzoid the EggDroid".

My bookshelf consists of some informational books, mostly on computers and drawing. I have some manga and graphic novels, I have the entire Amulet series. I have half of the Harry Potter series, and a few Pokemon books. I also have some Geronimo Stilton books. One classic novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, but I only bothered to read a little of it. My yearbook from my first year of high school is also on the shelf.

My bookshelf is also where I keep my Nintendo 3DS game cases, PC games, Nintendo Wii games, and some of my DVDs.

One shelf is dedicated to figurines and glass sculptures. Two more shelves are for plushies and large action figures. Finally, one more shelf is for paper storage.

My bookshelves have games or DVDs on them. The only books on there are old school books from when I was in college and failed, what do you do with books like that? No one's gonna need them because they get outdated, especially since they are computer books. xD

So yeah, my shelves have all of my game collection and my anime, cartoons and the few movies I watch on there (I'm not a movie person, I watch maybe one movie a year, if that.)

One and a half shelves taken up by my massive Sonic the Hedgehog comic collection, another whole shelf and half for all of Stephen King's books to date, some Lovecraft, John Fante, Kurt Vonnegut and Bret Easton Ellis. Got Trainspotting, Porno and Acid House by Irvine Welsh. Uhm, a ton of Warhammer Fantasy and 40k novels. Some pulp fiction, mostly Spillane. A number of books on serial killers and a few on Nazism and occultism.

And my most treasured books are all of Charles Bukowski's novels and some collections of his poetry and short stories.

The bookshelf in my room is mainly filled with classics, Harry Potter, random fantasy books, and a few romance novels! My office bookshelf is filled with old/current school textbooks or reference books, with a few of my parent's self help books.

I love that series. Alot.

Besides that, I have the Harry Potter series, Dragon Rider, and a bunch of other books of that sort. I have more random crap on my bookshelf than books, though, like trophies, DS games, sports stuff, and other oddities.

Lets see... I have about 20 books involving Psychology, the Harry Potter series, some novels assigned for summer reading, some books on zombies, the halo books, and a few classics like a collection of Edgar Allan Poe's works and To Kill a Mockingbird :P Oh, and the Eragon series.

P.S. That's only one shelf... I probably have about 500 or so books in my house that are mine... I read a lot.
