Sometimes I feel like I'm the only pony who doesn't like dubstep.

 

In my opinion, dubstep sounds like...a giant, heavy robot laying a massive wet turd into a wood chipper on the max setting.

I had never even heard dubstep before listening to the MLP fan music package I downloaded from somewhere. Tombstone and especially WoodenToaster had a few really catchy songs there (if these two even count as dubstep ). Other than that, no, I'm not into dubstep.

Like other's have said, I like dubstep when done well. My favorite artists include AlexS's (Pony Dubstep), Skrillex, Older Nero songs and Klaypex.

I was looking through some topics, and I didnt see anything about this anywhere, so I thought I would ask, who here likes Dubstep?

 

For those who dont know, Dubstep is a genre of Electronic music, using a lot of basslines and, what I can only describe as "wompy" noises (If anyones got a better definition, throw it out. I am not very music savvy)

 

If you HAVENT heared it, I really reccomend looking it up and taking a listen. Some is a lot better than others, but I really think that everyone should give it a try.

 

So what are your opinions?

There is definately some I dont like. Some is way too "screechy" for me (This kind is what gives ME headaches), but there has been a lot that just blows my mind. I am really into dance music though, so vocals arent important to me (though I do love good lyrics in music). I like listening to electronic music when I go running or when I workout (Which is a lot)

Depends on the song like most things.

 

The Syndicate Remix Stuff has been pretty good.

But in the end I consider myself more of a EDM kind of guy.

Eh, simple music is still music. Metallica is just CHORD A CHORD B CHORD A CHORD C CHORD B CHORD A CHORD B and some random vocals, and it's not really my thing, but it's still music.
