Mostly it consists of Pop/Electronic/Classical.

With bits and pieces of everything in-between.

It honestly depends what I'm in the mood for but I'm open to anything that sounds good really.

With classical in particular, I feel that people need to be able to appreciate it, because its cultured and expressive. Sort of a precursor to our modern age, if you listen to all the musical periods.

I have a strange taste for music, because since I make some I try to enjoy everything just so it could expand my creation process and help me to get fresh ideas experiment with different styles.

But currently I'm keen on Alternative Pop/Electronic stuff, with artists such as Grimes, Arca, FKA twigs, YELLE..

Other genres I really like are, hip hop especially trap stuff, I love 90s deep house and I love me some minimal electronic music.

Rock is my go-to, but I like my metal and I have a fucking gargantuan playlist full of songs from video games, so there ya go.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I tend to be rather open-minded with music, but Alternative Rock and any form of Jazz are among my absolute favorites. Emotional sincerity for the former, and a classy and sophisticated sound for the latter.

Broadway/Showtunes would be at my number one spot, but following closely behind in second place would be jazz. ^_^

Although I'm not sure what are the rankings after that... Maybe rock and roll? :ooh: I'm really not quite sure, I don't really have a particular genre which I dislike, even the ones that aren't that great have some good songs that come out of it! :P

I'm intrigued, because I like that, too! What songs/artists do you like?

Sometimes alternative, sometimes rock, sometimes nightcore. I don't really like metal so much because it's kind of like people doing lots of yelling with loud music. Pop is a bit generic classification of a music.

It varies, I don't have quite have a specific artist but songs I enjoyed listening to a list of different kind on youtube. It help me feel relax. Right now as example, Dark souls OST is my number one so far. Do you have any specific artists? I would like to know one or two to add into my "band" list.

Dark Souls? I've never played it nor heard the OST, but I think we may have different ideas of Medieval Folk, then.

Here's some of what I know the genre to be:

^An actual medieval song, but set in a folksy way.

and a more modern example:

Other than the above (The John Renbourn Group, Gryphon, and The Owl Service), other groups/singers I know of/like are Steeleye Span, Pentangle, Stone Angel, Midwinter, Shirley Collins, etc. All of those examples are English, there are French and German groups as well, but I'm less familiar with them.

Maybe haha, but Dark souls is a medieval/fantasy game and you should listen to their OTS. it might sound a little "off" from the traditional but it still have vibe. But I just listen to any soundtrack of medieval folk in general. And cool thanks, I'll listen to them, its good to have a specific artists.

Whatever I'm feeling at the moment, though I lean towards alt rock during the day and downtempo ambient at night. I'm really into the New Retro Wave genre, particularly the likes of Timecop1983 and The Midnight

Though I also listen to some bands or musicians that will fit into neither of the above. Occasionally I listen metal (which I got hooked after watching Patton and Lombardo perform together), emo (Weezer helped introduce me into Sunny Day Real Estate), or hip-hop (from a few of RHCP's albums back when they did more rap rock), though most of the bands I like fit into those genres – Arcade Fire, Boards of Canada, The Black Keys, Faith No More, Green Day, Radiohead, R.E.M., RHCP, The Strokes, Weezer, and the White Stripes are some I can name off the top of my head. I think it's good that most people don't overly restrict themselves to certain genres, since many of the bands I listen to have been willing to experiment and take parts from different genres.

Rock is my favorite, mostly alternative, emo, and punk rock. Especially music by My Chemical Romance. The lyrics in their Bullets album were amazing, even if the songs themselves didn't sound very polished. They're the only band who don't have a single song I haven't listened to.
