I don't think there are any other interesting blank flanks that could join the CMC from the show canon but any character we made up could do so if they are interesting enough. The CMC is big enough with just three members I would say.

Silver Spoon. I know she already has a cutie mark, but the club doesn't have to be just about getting your own cutie mark. It could be a club devoted to helping all ponies find their true calling so I think ponies with marks could join. I believe Silver Spoon could be reformed. I really think she only acts like a bitch because inside she lacks confidence. With a little guidance, she could break off her friendship with Diamond Tierra and join the CMC (who would forgive her because she would do something redeeming to prove herself).

 

I like this idea so much that I want to write a fanfic where it turns out Silver Spoon actually paints her cutie mark on with heavy duty makeup every day because she doesn't really have one yet.

I agree they should add a colt to their ranks.  It would also be nice to see a non-pony, but that isn't likely to happen, since the only creatures besides ponies who get cutie marks are zebras, and they live in a different country.

 

I'm currently working on a fanfiction in which Zecora has a young male relative come to visit, and he joins the CMC, but like I said, I doubt that will happen in the actual show.

 

Button Mash would also be a great addition, even though he supposedly doesn't care.  Most fans like to portray him as being close buddies with Sweetie Belle, though, so maybe he'd join just to spend time with her.  lawl

I feel like there should be an episode in which this very topic is explored.  A colt who doesn't yet have his cutie mark wants to join the CMC, and they are conflicted about whether or not to allow him in.  Up until that point, they've always had only fillies in the club, and they aren't used to being buddies with colts, but there isn't any specific rule that would disallow him from joining, and they might possibly have a disagreement over it at first.  The ending message, of course, would be about treating both sexes equally and not feeling the need to behave differently around colts than they do with each other.

Well, I think that it would give too much attention to male characters when the show is supposed to be centered around fillies. The CMC in particular should only be a filly-only club but they can possibly give advice to a blank flank colt at some point but not let one join.

Whatever gave you the idea that the show is "supposed to be centered around fillies"?  The Mane 6 are all mares because they're based on older characters, back when the show used to be almost exclusively for girls.  Generation 4 of MLP has a lot more male characters, and more focus is being put on them in some episodes.  Having the CMC be an explicitly fillies-only club just teaches kids that it's okay to do that in real life... and it's not.
