  1. My parents do, and I live in their house, so...kind of? Do you own any "rare" Pokémon cards?
  2. Granted, but you have to deal with constant, incurable and painful nausea from being up that high. I wish it would snow.

  5. Hihi everypony!

It's my birthday today! I was surprised with two of the draw-on-me ponies (Rainbow and Pinkie!), they're super cute even if I'm not entirely sure if I actually want to even mess with the main gimmick of drawing on them...from childhood memories of the scribble-me bears (is that what they were called?), the pens never smell too great and don't wash out as well as they say on the box:lie:

But whether I draw on 'em or not, my kind family and friends are helping me expand my hoard of pony merch, so I'm pleased :ButtercupLaugh:

      YAY! Happy Birthday! :yay: :blue_baloon::balloon:
Probably would have posted on your page, but the forum has not been doing a good job of telling me which of my friends are celebrating birthdays lately.

  6. MLP was my go-to while I was struggling to get an autism diagnosis (the NHS lists to get an appointment are LOOOONG!) and dumbly making my way through exams, as at the time I didn't have many friends that cared enough to listen. Pinkie in particular has been my light for years now, and even though I'm much better mentally nowadays, she still means a lot to me
  7. I'm a lesbian and a Pegasister and I've legitimately been told I must be straight because I enjoy girly media? This was NOT an issue I thought would go both ways
  8. Did I already post in this thread? I genuinely have no clue... I don't actually use my OCs for anything, they're usually just designs, so I have a lot of Alicorn OCs just because I think they look pretty...but most Alicorn OCs that have actual biographies and personalities are admittedly a little off, to put it gently.
  9. Ooh this looks fun, aaaa! Twilight Sparkle: Midnight Moonshine Rarity: Shimmer Seams Pinkie Pie: Candy Corn Applejack: Appaloosa Ariane Fluttershy: Fluster Flitter Rainbow Dash: Prismatic Pelt (I love me a good alliteration)
  10. Honestly, I don't see watching a pony show as defying anything except maybe society's standards for adults (meaning that you SHOULD like gore and more mature media, I suppose? I don't know, I've luckily never really been subject to these). Maybe it's because I'm a girl and can't see it from a male standpoint, but I REALLY don't think just watching a show for girls is defying gender roles; if guys were dressing in pink and frills and cutesy stuff BECAUSE of the show then yes, that's a defiance of gender roles, but just watching the show by itself is just that, watching a show. The early fandom in particular though really was desperate to still be seen as manly despite liking the show, and it got to a point where the "hurr durr ponies don't make me gay! I'm not gay!" spiel started to feel...kind of vaguely homophobic instead of defying of gender stereotypes? I don't know how else to put it really, but again, it's just watching a show. That in itself isn't a huge defiance!
  11. If I had the confidence to actually wear the thing, I'd happily wear my Celestia dress...it isn't the pony part that's embarrassing, honestly, it's how damn SHORT it is!
  12. My collection is display only, save for one Fluttershy that I sometimes bring around with me when my anxiety gets bad
  13. Ok, I have a LOT to say about being a girl. First off, I absolutely cannot stand the rampant sexualisation that almost every woman faces (97% of women have been sexually harassed in some way); I was an early bloomer myself and was unlucky enough to have certain uncontrollable traits that I was relentlessly sexualised and slut shamed for. I hated my body for years, I seriously thought I'd end up as a hooker just because of how my body had naturally formed. It's only since I met my wonderful girlfriend that I've begun to understand that my body is just a body and shouldn't be sexualised unless I say so, but even nowadays I'm terrified of catcallers and I generally avoid men after dark. Second up, what's up with teaching girls that a boy bullying or hurting them means they fancy them?! Again, from personal experience, there was a boy in my class who used to pull my hair, call me names, all of that junk...and people just laughed it off as him fancying me. I don't care if he did or not, why should I (at the age of TWELVE!) have to laugh actual violence off because "oh, he likes you!"?! It's disgusting. Lastly, though this is more of an issue with sexual education, why are only girls themselves taught about periods? We go into the world and get mocked because it's "that time of the month" and people don't take us seriously, and men often find periods completely disgusting. The sexual education system, at least in my opinion, has this weird view of women being pure and not teaching boys any of the ugly things our bodies do...which only FURTHERS the harassment and objectification women experience! Women are not dolls to be played with. We are equal beings. Okay, this ended up being a lot longer than I intended...but there, I got my feelings out
  14. In my personal experience? Reawakening my love for Part 5 of JoJo! Damn you and your super cool title!
  15. "Oho! This Bill Clinton guy looks like he'll be an even stronger opponent than Darius III!"
  16. Unbelievably angry dinosaurs. They threw the meteor up in their rage, not realising what they'd done... Why is it that sometimes food tastes like something completely unrelated smells?
  17. Twilight Sparkle gets into a heated online argument about how AWFUL the remakes of her favourite game look, despite having hounded the company for years to get it... "I want it to look just like how I remember!" ... "Why does it look like that?! It's running on (unbranded current gen pony console)! It's terrible! I can't support this company anymore!" ... *buys it anyway*
  18. It's not my cup of tea personally, but my gf's older brother used to be super into it, so I guess it's just a community you've got to search for instead of stumbling into! Am I the only one who can't get Newgrounds games to play without it crashing my pc? (I just want to play Friday Night Funkin', man.)
  19. Where to start...there's my Gorillaz sona, Emi, and my JoJo oc Rosetta, my Naruto oc Hanae...I have hundreds!
