Of course, I don't think they've used any of the comics so far, but I just loved this story. It's a tear jerker.

 

Alternate dimension evil Celestia for a bad guy though? Heck yeah!

I think we'll get a major villain in the premiere and/or finale (though not guaranteed). Though I'm already seeing an antagonist a week or so thanks to this season's globetrotting (pun not intended) format.

Have a new villain who starts off by actually becoming a friend with one of the Mane 6. The other Mane 5 don't treat this friend well causing that one Mane character to stand up for their new friend and some rift with the Mane 5. This Mane character learns that this villain's life was hard and friendship is like the only solace in their life. The Mane 5 find out this villain's true identity and it leads to a clash where the Mane character has to choose to betray their new friend for Equestria or fight against the Mane 5 to protect that friend.

I kinda want to see an anti rarity villain just because the closest this we got was (at least as far as I can remember) is when spike gave her the book and she just started screwing things up in ponyville I i barely count that because it was herself.

Iron Will is due a come back, but he's not really a villain villain.

Trixie is also due a come back, but I'm hoping for Trixiedemption.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon will certainly be featured, but again they're not really villain villains, and we're supposed to be seeing another side to Diamond Tiara soon.

I say the Season 5 premiere villain is a disgruntled pony, likely a unicorn, who was left behind while others fulfilled their destinies. Somehow, he developed the power to equalize the powers and abilities of all the ponies in his town, so that nopony is more skilled or successful than the other. He forces ponies from the outside to assimilate to the dominant culture, one without individuality or special talents, likely a highly centralized, Orwell-influenced society.

An corrupt Twilight Sparkle from a alternate timeline,where she failed to deliver Celestia a Frienship Lesson in Lesson Zero,and was subsequently banished; becoming angry and bitter,she then dove into accepting the dark forces who promised her power to exact revenge for Celestia's overreaction. However Twilight betrays the dark forces and absorbs them into her being,now more powerful then ever she attempted to overthrow the royals. She faired well;defeating the royals with ease. However a foolish blue unicorn wielding a magic amulet then stepped forth to oppose her. Twilight quickly injured the blue unicorn,however before the final blow was struck,the blue unicorn used a spell to fling the now corrupt Twilight Sparkle into a alternate dimension. Finding her self in a new world,unable to return to her own,she now plans taking her frustration out on the Equestria we all know and love..teaching all a valuable friendship lesson: Hell hath no furry like Twilight Sparkle scorn.

I just want friggin' Grogar and the city of Tambelon. Please, I want that sorcerer goat/ram to be a part of FiM lore.

 

 

 

I watched the G1 episode of "Return of Tambelon" and just fell in love with this guy! Kinda reminds me of Sombra! 

You really just don't know HOW much I wanted Grogar to be in Season 5. Seriously. I would also have to think that both him and Trixie might also come up with a big scheme together.

I want to see a "make a deal with the devil" style villain who pops up from time to time doing the whole contract to give the character what they want in exchange for something precious of theirs.

 

For example: Fluttershy makes a deal to no longer be shy around ponies, but then gains a fear towards animals.

PLEASE make him the antagonist in the season 5 finale and have him face off in a magical battle with discord where the stakes are high and everyone is depending on the reformed discord. And honestly I feel discord is the most magical being in the show (naturally, there are things like the alicorn amulet and Tirek's power stealing) because if Celestia and Luna can't beat him and Twilight can't beat him alone the only one who stands up to his level is chrysalis, but seeing the state he can put ponyville in a matter of minutes he's much more powerful as he doesn't even need to use effort.

Here are my predictions to season 5 villains!  We never had Banshee's, Scyllas or Evil Pirate ponies or even more spectra ponies of the spirit world. Who knows what's in store ?

Since this is a cult, I wonder if they'll slip in a dark joke. Starlight Glimmer has a huge gathering with all the cult members about the Mane 6 being there. One of them is getting some punch when Pinkie Pie cuts that pony off and yells, "Don't drink the punch!" It causes an awkward scene.
