Worst lines of dialogue in the show.

Uhhhhhh... Maybe that whole "I want it! I need it! I really like her mane!" thing, if only for the fact that, like the 20% cooler line, it's been run into the ground with memes and such. Particularly whenever a new plushie is announced on EQD and everyone keeps using that quote (not to mention get a hundred plus upvotes). Though again, the actual line in the show was actually executed pretty well (same as 20% cooler).

"You look just like a princess" was pretty groan inducing from Fluttershy in Magical Mystery Cure. It still fit the episode though considering Celestia swooped in came after that making her announcement.

Not a bad line I suppose, but it was a little bit cheesy.

I don't like most of the lines Gilda says. She sounds like a stereotypical 1990's jock. Most of her dialogue sounds forced, on top of that.

The dragons from Dragon Quest suffer from bad dialogue-itis too. Again, they went with the stereotypical jock route and it still sounds way too forced.

In the Season 4 premiere: "Don't be so modest. It's everypony's dream to someday wear a crown and have their coronation ceremony preserved in stained glass for all to see." -Rarity

Okay, I'm going to straight-up state why I hate that line with a passion. Not only does it feel extremely out-of-character for Rarity, not only does it completely go against the show's message, and not only is it a blatant slap in the face to people like me who loved the show because it helped remind them that it's okay to be different, but it also seems to imply that everyone, including Twilight, who never mentioned wanting to be an alicorn princess, dreams of one day being the center of everyone else's attention, with them all bowing down to her and dutifully obeying her every command, because, apparently, nobody can possibly be content with their lives otherwise. It's implying that life is nothing but "go big or go home," and the only way to go big is to be popular, like oh-so-perfect Twilicorn. Nothing else matters, not even how much you contribute to society, because you can't do anything of worth unless you're famous. That just sounds flat-out arrogant and wrong on so many different levels.

Looking back, that almost sounds more like something someone like Starlight Glimmer would believe than anything else. After all, Starlight's master plan was to brainwash all of Equestria into believing that everyone must be the same in order to succeed. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I realize that Rarity's line is essentially an unintentional opposite extreme of the same mentality Starlight followed. :eww:

It baffles me how anyone can say that the Season 4 premiere was better than the Season 5 premiere. You can probably understand why I like the Season 5 premiere so much. It exposes almost all the problems surrounding Twilicorn and the whole "Every girl wants to be a princess" mentality. I guess it just goes to show how much the show has matured over the years. :twi:

"I just don't know what went wrong"  falls flat and makes me die a little inside.  Bonus points for bad voice acting(the original voice) and causing drama.  Thinking about it is giving me a headache!

Every line ever spoken by Tiara and Spoon.  I guess it's not really a criticism of the writing, it's just because I hate those little b*tches, and want them to get their just deserts.  But I would say that their dialogue is definitely the corniest on the show.  The only time I really roll my eyes during this show is when those fillies open their mouths.

Oh man. I don't like most of Fluttershy's dialogue because she's just so weak.

I don't like the plot exposition at the beginning of episodes... ESPECIALLY not when Spike is saying them! I HAAAATE when somepony says the lines "my little ponies" or "friendship is magic" (except when Discord said it... That was pretty funny).

I think RD's confidence lines are hilarious. Rarity can be overbearing and DR and SS are just way too much mean.

I actually originally hated the use of "somepony/anypony/everypony"

That one line Fluttershy says at the end of The Last Round Up

"We can always rebuild the town hall, but if you leave us, nothing will be able to fix the hole in our hearts"

I actively cringe when I hear that

"I'm Applejack. Mowe apple fwitter?" (A terrible cynical writer putting no effort into his work at all and just writing the most generically "cute" piece of dialog he possibly could. Coming out of a baby that shouldn't even be able to say one word yet. Horrible, horrible embarrassing cringe-worthy dialog. Not cute at all, because it's such a lazy attempt at cuteness.)

"I am weak and helpless." (Putting absolutely no effort into making a character talk like a real person and instead relying on what fans will think is so cute, but failing miserably, because it doesn't feel real.)

I hate it when something feels like a middle aged man made it with the attempt of manipulating people into thinking it's cute. It has the exact opposite reaction on me.

The worst lines of dialogue in the entire Series is every line spoken in the scene where Rainbow Dash is wrestling over being "Professional" and being herself while judging the CMC's routine in Flight to the Finish. Even though Ms. Harshwhinny wasn't there to chew her out. T~T

Apparently she couldn't say "Real good routine guys!  Keep up the good work!

Apparently someone thought it was funny to have her spazz out while the CMC patiently wait for an answer, seriously screw that scene.

Garble: *Is a disturbing teenage sociopath willing to murder baby Phoenixes.* *Calls Celestia "namby-pamby."*

Wasn't Fluttershy parroting what Discord said? Her repeating his accusations verbatim was a key cog in the humor of their exchange.

In the ending of "The Cutie Map". The way Sugar Belle says "Now I can make something other than awful muffins!" was some of the worst acting the show has ever had. It's then followed by the most forced-sounding laughter I have ever heard.

I don't know why this specific part stuck out to me as bad acting, but I didn't like it. Thankfully it's just one poorly-spoken sentence in an otherwise great episode.
