Transgendered Bronies?

Nerdy Luigi

Recommended Posts

I didn't see a thread for this (I am quite frankly surprised about that and please merge if one is found, mods), so who else this here brony forum has gender identity issues or is a transgender?

I am and fairly proud.

I discovered this about a year after I discovered my sexuality isn't straight.(I'm pansexual (homoromantic, also) as of right now) I thought about how little similarities I have to the average guy and how I despise my bodily features. Mostly this Adams Apple of mine. It is so ANNOYING. It's literally what I see in pictures. The irritating bulge in my neck.

I'm not fully transgender, but I do have Gender Dysphoria  :D Currently seeing a therapist about it  ;) Also, happen to be pansexual as well

It's an odd deal for me. I used to be pretty open about being transgender but now I try to stick with being more ambiguous. Not because I don't actually believe that I am transgender, but when it's actually brought up I seem to get a lot of flak for it, usually "it's not a real thing, get over yourself". That's why I either stick with ambiguity or just outright telling people I'm gay, which for some reason a lot of people don't seem to care about. Regardless, I still go by the name "Annie" which kinda blows both those options out of the water.

People who are trans or gender-queer can be any sexuality at all! Trans men can like men, trans women can like women, etc. One's gender does not affect who they can find themselves attracted to :)

At least that's my best explanation of it. A gender-queer person could probably explain everything a lot better  :please:

I'm personally agender which is under the Trans umbrella term, so I technically count I guess.

Gender doesn't matter to me personally, I just feel like nothing.

I'm a homoromantic asexual agender, descriptive words :v

You mustn't be nervous about something like this.

if you do have gender dysphoria, you should see someone if you can.

or at the very least do research into it.

the symptoms are fairly simple, but I know what it can be like to be in denial about it.

just do the research and go with what your heart tells you.

and remember, there's no shame in being trans.

True! I can never understand why some people have such a hard time understanding that. xD

maybe it's because they think sexuality when they see LGBT and not gender identity.

that's the reason spreading awareness is the important. :fluttershy:

So.... you are trans? or aren't you... so confusing.

can't you just be a trans female lesbian?

gender identity and sexuality are things that mix.

Trans and Bisexual

Trans and gay

trans and asexual

being trans has nothing to do with sexuality. as Eloquence so elegantly stated :fluttershy:

Well I guess in thought I maybe a bit on the trans side and I'm majorly pan-sexual. Really needing to fix that detail on my profile. If anything I'm only going to go as far as estrogen on the physical side of things if I decide to do so. Honestly, I'd pretty comfy with the thought of being a girl with male genitalia. Besides, I'd not be able to afford the full sex change operation anyway.

No one is going anywhere near my junk with a surgical blade!  :okiedokielokie:

True, I'm just far too wrapped up in what other people think of me that I don't really think for myself.  I have been doing research in it and in all honesty, I've disconnected from myself over the years so much that I don't really feel dysphoria.  I feel as if I'm in a shell.  I think this one guy put it best, it's like being in a cage and seeing your ideal self on the outside of it but you're stuck in the cage and can only reach out or look towards your ideal-self but you have a mirror inside of the cage that reminds you of what you are.  I have been considering things like starting T and having top surgery and think it would be pretty nice sometimes.  I should probably give the therapist a call.

you're just gonna have to get unwrapped in it.

we all do at one point or another.

if your are constantly worried about what others think, trans or not, you're not gonna get much real joy out of life.

though I'm not exactly telling you to get over it, Rome wasn't built in a day.

you gotta start small, talk to people you trust, perhaps someone online who has the same situation.

do more research into it, learn as much as you can, join the community.

these feeling are very normal.

if you ever need any one to talk to, feel free to come to me.

I may not always have the right thing to say, but it can be nice to have someone to listen when you need it,

It's one of those three way things; what gender your body is, what gender your mind is and what gender you like for a partner. If you flip the view point, the chances of anyone being one hundred percent heterosexual sounds pretty slim. If your mind doesn't match your body then it can be an unbelievably difficult thing to deal with. Whenever I look in the mirror I see a stranger, so my heart goes out to you if you see a different gender. But a burden shared is a buren halved, so it's best to open up and get some help. Good Luck :)

On the issue of counting transgenders as only being the ones who have had sex changes, that sounds rather inclusive. Those are actually called transsexual people. Transgender I would say is a term for someone who feels much unlike their own sex in the sense that they feel like they don't conform to their sex. My thoughts.

I don't plan on becoming physically a woman myself, though I think It will feel more natural to me if I changed my gender role, and maybe some hormonal implantation (estrogens, etc.). Not going to go full out though. It sounds painful and a bit expensive I think.

I'm male but I'm not into boy toy lines like Transformers or G.I. Joe. I'm more into cute characters mainly japanese ones because girls love cute characters, and I have a guilty pleasure for Disney Princess movies. So I feel I've got a little bit of femininity in me.
