What to give to Princess Luna? That is a hard one, but I'll give her lots of cider apple juice. Lots of cider apple juice enough to last a thousand years and then some. She'll be able to drink away the thousand years while staring at a comforting poster detailing about how the moon is AMAZING, BRIGHT, BIG, AND GLORIOUS! That is until the colors are bleached away.

The question is flawed.

 

For starters, is not Luna, but Nightmare Moon.

Secondly; she is not "on" (as, over) the Moon; she was banished "in" (as, part of it) the Moon. Specifically, she was fosilized [Discord´s style], then pushed/teleported to the Moon, then broken in millon of pieces; and finally dispersed trough the surface as black regolith.

 

She was not able to move or "live" in the Moon on any form; tough she must have being aware (like Discord) for 1000 years, as she had to perceive the stars aligment "helping her" to break free of the spell.
