Software engineering. Which means I learned lots of maths on university (logic and set theory were awesome, but however I try I can't integrate), and the actual software and engineering I learned while working. ;-)

First year for me and I'm majoring in Sociology. I've always had an interest in how groups act as to just an individual.

Started with Mechanical Engineering, but personal issues and increased knowledge of the field in the UK (unless you go into RnD) led me to loose any motivation.

Moved universities and courses to Physics as my interest in a more theoretical/first principle understanding grew.

Personal problems went unresolved and I left to 'sort my head out', get a job and do an Open Uni degree (distance learning thing in the UK). Alas that was in 2008 when there were sod all jobs going in a town where there probably weren't any jobs to begin with.

Full time now and planning to finish my Physics degree and PhD hopefully after that.

Software engineering. I chose it because I've essentially grown up on the computer. I've done programming on my own time and I really love making computer programs.

I chose it over computer science at university because there appeared to be less math involved and more practicality and hands on projects. Im actually excited to go back next year, we get first hand experience with security, video game design and a whole bunch of other awesome subjects!

Im not going to disclose the college though. It's in Canada, ill tell you that much.
