lets say that through peaceful means it is negotiated to give up a part around the planet for the creation of the land of equestria to be its own independent country and follow the cultural tendency's shown in MLP:FIM would you move there?

it would basically be like never ending bronycon so you'd expect to see things like
-strong community relations
-probably a lot of conventions (like.. every day)

-the person to the left and right of you IS a brony so you can talk to them freely about the show

-love and toleration EVERYWHERE no hate

-lots of geeks, nerds and cosplay/fursuiting

-true to the show building recreation (i hope)

-lots of show inspired art and music
-n' perhaps some pontriotism (pony patriotism)

But what if people like being antisocial? Will they still be "reformed"?

it will be an excellent opportunity for people to come out of their shells and out into a super sportive environment :P for the most part people are antisocial or shutins because they dont like whats going on in the world around them right? but if they do like it, the will come out will they not?

its more like the world around them is reformed :P so yea i kinda meant something more along the lines of socially awkward lol

'Reforming' me would be an interesting challenge, but I probably would move there with my boyfriend. I am not fond of the states these days and a nation that focuses more on friendship rather than corruption and celebrity is alright in my book.

Of course I would move to Equestria! With the way that the United States has changed in recent times, I think I'd rather live somewhere founded on love and tolerance.

This actually reminds me of a story, the conclusion: true hell is when the world is absolutely perfect, when you do not have to work for and towards anything, when everything you desire can be achieved with a simple wish.

Visiting this "haven" every now and then to recuperate sounds great to me, but reside there permanently? Can't imagine myself forever relaxing in a land of unicorns and rainbows, while somewhere out there, the world is burning.

Not my style.

I wouldn't go there to be honest things would be way too bland to be honest because things would be way too positive as much as I would love a perfect country where you would be extremely happy you just need a healthy balance of positive and negative things it would get boring if everything was happy and positive all the time things would be way more varied if I didn't move there

I'm so tired of all the hate & evil in this world that Equestria would be pure heaven! Remember with the theory that there's an infinite number of Universes that exist, somewhere there's gotta be an Equestria!

Hmm, maybe. Although there are a lot of things in Equestria that are still quite dangerous, I think I'd be perfectly content with just visiting.

What about introverts means they must be "reformed"?

Seems kinda totalitarian to try and force someone to change their nature like that :/ I mean, in a state that supposedly focuses on caring about people, it's kind of counterproductive for that same state to go out of their way to change someone rather than accept them for who they are... unless they want all of their population to conform...

Sorry, but I'd avoid that kind of country like the plague... It takes all kinds of people to make a world, and if everyone is thinking the same, then nobody is thinking at all.

its friendship is magic not loneliness and solitude is magic :L i just like the idea of people coming out and joining a big happy community :P if they are however insistent in not socialising than it rather pointless to go in the first place, but for those who wouldn't mind to mingle with other bronies and pegasisters :P it would be nice

I probably wouldn't be able to live there, I'd just visit. It'd be a great place.

Twilight and Fluttershy are introverts themselves. A country like this trying to force someone like Fluttershy to be more like Pinkie Pie would end terribly, and if they treated her as less because of this, saying her seclusion was "wrong" would be even worse. An introvert may come to a place like this seeking a place of acceptance where people would love them for who they are, but then to try and have social activity crammed down their throat? Not everyone likes constant stimulation, but that doesn't mean they don't want to be part of a nicer community. It's all very reminiscent of "We Happy Few"... Where you live in utopia.... so long as you remember to smile, take your joy, say hi to your neighbors, and never mention anything depressing... After all, you don't want to be a downer, do you?

All that being said, though, if I could go there with people enjoying my audience when I decide to give it, I would move there in a heartbeat! In a way the world as it is today is kind of the same way... People tend to look down on those without much of a social life, even if those people just prefer to be quieter, or keep a smaller, yet closer group of friends. Sure they aren't out and about all the time, but when they are together, their connections are most genuine. Just because someone doesn't like being surrounded by their friends constantly doesn't mean they dislike them, they just enjoy peaceful time alone.

Truth be told, I have a feeling if a community like this one was established, there would be so many bronies understanding of this kind of behavior that it would be accepted anyway.

I said no for 1 main reason and a few 'minor' ones. You didn't describe the government system; is it going to be Merito-Hereditory Feudal Diarchy with hints of Vassalage like in the show or any other like: a constitutional monarchy, an indirect democracy, a direct democracy, a dictatorship, etc. Because if this hypothetical nation does not follow the example of the show I will not like it. See Bronies are a diverse bunch with a range of political opinions. Such a range, in fact, that I reckon that it would make any sort of democratic government run slowly and messily, kind of like the UK's (I can say that because I live here). We all know why a dictatorship is no good. So why would the 'Merito-Hereditory Feudal Diarchy with hints of Vassalage' run well? Well we don't know that it will, but it's never been tried before so it's worth a shot, and considering the nation would be populated by Bronies we all at least have a rough idea of how it should work, because we watch a show with it in.

Now on to the minor issues:

- What will we do to the people who used to live there? Kick them out? Kill them? Force them into a Starlight style rehabilitation room where they're indoctrinated into being a Brony? This is a legitimate problem.

- Location? Considering that we're all from around the world, we're all used to different climates. Then there's risk of foreign invasion, natural hazards, economically beneficial location, agricultural beneficiallity, etc. Out of preference this would be an island not too far from the mainland, so like part of Canada (but not too far north).

- Language. This is self explanatory.

- Terrorism. I'm certain that there would be some nut jobs who'd attempt to bomb the place purely because it's populated by weird people who all watch My Little Pony.

- How much of a priority internet speed is to the government. This is very important, trust me, I've said Vassalage 3 times, which makes me smart.

This actually reminds me of a story, the conclusion: true hell is when the world is absolutely perfect, when you do not have to work for and towards anything, when everything you desire can be achieved with a simple wish.

I guess we have different styles. I'd sit in this haven and attempt to direct it to assist in dealing with this burning, either that or sit there and watch the burning because I really don't care anymore.
