So, season 7 has been confirmed, and it's coming this Spring! April or May, I guess, I dunno for sure. Anyways, what do y'all wanna see this season? What characters do you want to see return, and what kind of stories would you like to see?

 

IF it's the final season, I really hope it'll be a good one! Give proper conclusions to each of the Mane Six, Spike, and the CMCs. So now that season 6 is almost over, what do we wanna see for season 7 that hasn't happened yet?

 

Well for me, the number one thing I wanna see this season is Babs Seed have a new episode with the CMCs taking place in Manehattan, and the Manehattan CMCs have their debut appearance! I've been wanting this since season 4! If we're coming back to Manehattan this season, I hope it's a CMC episode, and not another Rarity episode, at least not yet! Babs first, Rarity later.

 

Another thing I'd like to see is Zecora's backstory, or at least some Zecora character development. Season 5 had a bit of development for her in the finale, but it wasn't much. I wanna learn a bit about the zebras, and why Zecora decided to move to Equestria. Zecora barely did anything this season; just two cameos really. If Zecora is really hard to rhyme with, just for rhymes online, writers!

 

I also really want Spike's dragon arc to continue! I wanna see a bit of his origins of where he come from and how he got in possession of Celestia in the first place. I'm quite surprised we haven't gotten to this story yet, or the reason why Spike doesn't have any wings yet. It would be awesome seeing Princess Ember again helping him out find out where he comes from! I know in Dragon Quest, Spike asked this same question, but he really didn't get an answer, and instead just accepted the pony traditions. I know he's happy to be a part of pony kind, but he still deserves to know where he came from.

 

A Princess Celestia episode! I don't need to explain this! Either that or a Celestia and Luna episode featuring just them without the Mane Six.

Spike giving up his crush on Rarity. Hey, let's face it! Probably not gonna happen. Highly unlikely, sorry Sparity fans. I mean I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying, what are the odds of this happening? So perhaps the best course of action is for Spike to just give up his crush, at least until he gets older.

 

Lightning Dust and Wind Rider teaming up to get revenge on Rainbow and Spitfire!

 

And finally, Scorpan making his debut on the show! Perhaps that could be this season's arc! It'll be a great chance for Tirek to come back! I know some people don't think Scorpan's around anymore, but if Tirek's still around, Scorpan might be too! It'll be really nice if he Twilight took him in to help him blend in with ponykind again after leaving home. Perhaps if Scorpan was a friend of Starswirl the Bearded, maybe he got tons of magical knowledge from him that Twilight or Starlight don't even know about! And maybe Scorpan would believe that if the Mane Six could reform so many different villains, maybe Scorpan would feel that they could do the same for Tirek, and that would be this season's arc! As a bonus and a nod from G1 MLP, perhaps Scorpan would become close friends with Spike!

My basic idea for what happens in season 7 is that Chrysalis gathers Changlings still loyal to her from around Equestria, kipnaps Flurryheart, then gives her to Tirek in Taurturus, where he drains her of her magic and returns. Anyway... what I would want is some more adventures for the mane 6 as a whole in some new locations. I know they pair them up to go solve some friendship problems here and there but that is not the same thing. It does not have to be "save all of Equestria!" level adventure, but I would love to see new episodes with them all working together and bouncing their individual personalities off each other as we had in some earlier seasons. I also would not mind a couple side or background character episodes to give the townsfolk a little time to shine. The comics have done a good job with several stories like that, so I am more than welcoming to them tossing a few fun episodes like that our way.

Having Starlight do stuff outside of the mane 6, applying her leadership abilities to good use now that she's comfortable with them.

This can be postponed to season 8, but I want Starlight to graduate and then go live her life. I don't think she belongs with the mane 6 and that would be a pretty awesome way to end her character arc... Damn, just thinking about her leaving gets me emotional   She doesn't have to leave forever and never be heard of again though.

Most would like to see that Princess Celestia episode finally become a reality considering how often it has been asked over these past few years. I'm also curious as to what became of Scorpan since all we know is that he faded into history after he warned the Royal Sisters of Tirek's intentions. Speaking of villains, how about another classic villain from generation one being retooled for the current generation? I know many would like to see Grogar make an appearance. Lastly, I know that this is an incredibly long shot, but I would love to see Sunset make an appearance in Equestria even if it was for just a couple of minutes.

Agreed about A celestia episode; also disliked the newbie dash episode, but there's really no saving throwing that-- I mean, they figured out a way to make dragonquest redeemed somewhat with gauntlet of fire (to make the race not seem so horrible), but I don't see them fixing newbie dash anytime soon.

 

 

 

Not sure how they can fix AJ without trying to give her something else as a goal to move towards; she's basically got "Family, family, family" as her only go to episode thing as of late, and when they're not doing that they default to "shit on AJ"

I'd like some episodes where she's just there as a FRIEND helping the others; ironically, despite them being somewhat weak, I still enjoy AJ's map episodes for AJ being treated well in them.

Chrysalis could return I guess alone, but it seems pretty soon without her swarm, and that leaves only tirek or windigos (which are more natural forces than active antagonists)

 

 

That being said, I more expect something like the S5 premier probably, some sort of natural disaster type scenario again.

And I know a lot of people are going to hate me for this but maybe do away with the Mane 6, I know that they have a significant part of the show but it has little relevance now that Twilight doesn't have much of a role in the show and Starlight is basically now a member of the group.

I want to find some sort of closure with this whole series, because i think it really is the time now. And i don't say bring that stuff over to the movie, i say make the closure in the series, because if you bring to much of the series story over to the movie, the casual audience won't understand what the hell is going on.

What i still want from the show is more exploration of the world and more adventure. I have a few favorite episodes in that aspect for instance: S01E01+02 Friendship is Magic/The Mare in the Moon; S01E07 Dragonshy; S02E01+02 Return of Harmony.

 

Why? Because there they go out on an adventure. Simple as that. And i would like that more. Not like Return of Harmony but already something like Dragonshy is already enough. 

And yes, episodes like Gauntlet of Fire were pretty good. 

 

 

Other than that, all i need is a good build up to the plot, like in The Fault of Our Cutie Marks. There it was like "Yeah, the characters did something and just got done with it -> Display of the general situation with includation of past events -> Problem"

I guess many episodes already fulfill that sheme, but in that episode it was somehow good paced.

- Twilight and Shining Armor! I'd love to see more of their complicity as siblings. So far, I feel they're siblings in name only, which I find a bit sad. It's a show, so show me!

- Changelings of course, no way around this one.

- A big CMC reunion! Not all the members have met, after all.

- Zecora is still a thing, right?

- Moar Trixie and Discord, with or without others.

- Starlight bonding with each of the Mane 5, instead of all at once. What one likes isn't necessarily what another likes, and what has allowed you to bond with one may do the opposite with another. Each individual is 'unique'. Go learn that, Starlight!

- An episode where the Mane 6 struggles to find time to meet, and fear that they're growing apart because of their responsabilities.

 

 

I'm sure there'd be more if I tried, so I'll stop there. Yes, I'm hyped about season 7.

Another G1 villain remade for a two-parter. Maybe Grogar. Or Arabus. Maybe they'll team up with Chrysalis, but Chrysalis doesn't know she's a pawn.

Twilight and friends NOT being reduced to background characters. Just because their VA's are getting involved with more projects (I've heard), doesn't mean we can't have Twilight and friends be the main characters.

If we must have one of the other Mane 6 save the day, then let it be either Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie. As long as the "Twilight overshadows her friends" club stops their kicking and screaming, I'm happy. Seriously. And I thought my not wanting Starlight to steal Twilight's main character status was bad. But this must have been going on forever. Here's my opinion on the fans who think Twilight's being overused:

As others have already mentioned, I'd love to see a Celestia episode. I think it's about time the grand ruler of Equestria had her moment in the limelight.

I'd also love to see the premiere/finale revolve around alicorns in general. Maybe have Twilight and co. travel to an alicorn land outside of Equestria or something (with some dangers along the way), so it's not just the old classic "the world/city/folk is in grave danger" type plot we've been getting (with obvious exceptions being The Best Night Ever and Magical Mystery Cure). I really wish to find out more about alicorns as a race.

-Everyone seems to be parroting it, but there is nothing I'd love more than having a Celestia episode. Of all the princesses she is the one who has been outright ignored and thrown aside for the fan favorite Luna. I just want her to get at least ONE moment to grow as a character before the series ends. They've already done almost every other character, I don't see why they've left her out for so long.

 

-Another episode with the Wonderbolts...done well this time. To be honest, I didn't mind Newbie Dash but the way it portrays the Wonderbolts I find disgusting. Mostly because the message was questionable but the characters act like jerks for no discernible reason. As someone who has been a fan of Spitfire I think she needs to have a spotlight episode with Rainbow where she's shown in a better light.

 

-More Maud Pie and her sisters. They're all interesting and the fans seem to love them, so I don't see why not we have another episode where the entire Pie family is involved in some way.

 

-A return of Zercora, who seems to have faded more and more into the background as time goes by. For a pony who appears in the intro for every episode she makes a habit of not showing up in the show proper very often.

 

-Spike returns to the dragon lands, for one reason or another, and has an adventure with Princess Ember. I'm not sure what that would be exactly, but I like the relationship the two had in Gauntlet of Fire and I'm sure it would be a welcome return.

 

-An overarching villain plot that spans from the first episodes to the finale. Kinda like Starlight in the respect that the main season villain appears in the season opener and returns in the finale. While in the background of episodes we get little hints of their plans for revenge. I'm not sure how that would work, but I find the idea to be an interesting concept.
