- Celestia episode. I cannot stress enough how happy I would be if Celestia got a focus episode. We've had focus episodes of just about every single main character except for her. Multiple Luna episodes, episodes with Cadance as a secondary focus but still a factor, several Discord episodes, where's the love for Best Princess?

 

- More Thorax and Ember.

 

- Zecora. i think she had... one appearance this season, and it wasn't even a speaking role?

 

- Diamond Tiara. We saw more of Spoiled Rich/Milk this season than we did of her.

 

- Some world-building is always welcome.

After what they got put through in the Season 6 finale with Chrysalis, I really want an episode dedicated to just the Royal Family, if not just Celestia and Luna.

I am happy with everything said in the OP, but I would like to see Twilight learning to become a princess more and possibly learning friendship lessons again, Spike actually doing something with his desire to be a superhero or a knight, and more action/adventure episodes.

Ditch the filler episodes and make the entire season one big adventure story. There is little to no more character development left for the main characters, maybe except for Starlight, so they'd might as well take the Avatar: The Last Airbender route and do some sort of grand epic before the movie.

 

Or...

 

Season 7 Finale Idea: Have the villain WIN. Have the main characters crushed, and then base off the movie with them regaining their power and fighting back in one final stand. That would be the most fitting conclusion to the show.

I agree with you on that point, I don't feel that under any circumstances should MLP flat out kill a character. Well King Sombra in the show and not the comics was shown to be a complete monster with no redeeming qualities and in the season 3 premiere was implied to have been killed off.

So if Queen Chrysalis comes back to season 7 and continues to be shown as irredeemable, I could see the same fate fitting her.

Either that or having her be sent to some place like Tartarus.

As others have already mentioned, I'd love to see a Celestia episode. I think it's about time the grand ruler of Equestria had her moment in the limelight.

I'd also love to see the premiere/finale revolve around alicorns in general. Maybe have Twilight and co. travel to an alicorn land outside of Equestria or something (with some dangers along the way), so it's not just the old classic "the world/city/folk is in grave danger" type plot we've been getting (with obvious exceptions being The Best Night Ever and Magical Mystery Cure). I really wish to find out more about alicorns as a race.

 

Learning about Alicorns in one episode would be very interesting. Also, glad I'm not the only one on the bandwagon wanting a Celestia episode with how she's been portrayed in recent season premieres/finales with being unable to defend Equestria because of some stupid plot device.

Still waiting for a Celestia episode, Hasbro. And of course, Thorax and the reformed changlings. And an episode with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Oh, yeah, bat ponies! Like Luna's guards from 'Luna Eclipsed'.

Given that Chrysalis is a changeling, and given Starlight's personality, I know how Chrysalis could try and ruin Starlight... That'd be quite evil, too. Tied into the movie or not, I just can't wait!

I'd actually like more family in general; I was HORRIBLY dissapointed to not see any information about AJ's parents in where the apple lies (Not saying I wanted "AJ killed her parents" or crap like that, I just wanted to see them and get a feel for things before they were gone), and I'd love to see Rainbow dash's family

As others have already mentioned, I'd love to see a Celestia episode. I think it's about time the grand ruler of Equestria had her moment in the limelight.

To be honest, I'd prefer there not to be an alicorn city of some kind: I'm all for alicorns still existing, but I'd rather they be singular beings that are hidden away and watching over a single task than a large group of them together.

 

Like maybe an alicorn at the center of tartarus keeping it working, there be an alicorn somewhere in the ocean watching over it, ect. Stuff like that.

I could actually see them finding ways to work in some lessons for adventure episodes that they couldn't put in so easily into slice of life episodes honestly.

Like the old standby of not letting anger cloud your mind in a fight that's been used for TMNT and series like that. (Would work well for RD IMO)

at the same time, they have a bit of a conflict of interests there in that they're doing a guardians of harmony toyline which is BASED around the idea of fighting the villains to stop them instead of befriending them

 

I think they could make it work well, all they need to do is focus more around that they're able to defeat the villain due to the power of THEIR friendship giving them strength and you still have friendship as the key concept. I mean, its not like having unredeemable villains makes friendship meaningless, it just means that, YES, there are some people you can't befriend: Hell, this was supposedly the entire point behind Gilda that Faust was gong for (Though, Ironically, she failed hard there since gilda came off as one of the biggest woobies in the fandom ever XD)

Nothing says they have to kill anyone. But that does not mean she won't meet her end all the same. I honestly think we will see her return not too far off (most likely for the film if I were to bet), and it will be her undoing in the fatal meeting. Chrysalis has been set up as a final vengeance all or nothing kind of character and those usually don't pan out to positive ends for anyone involved.

I can imagine where you are going with it. She now has a burning hatred for Starlight and wants revenge. And she does not just want simple revenge... she wants to break Starlight now.. destroy her and dance upon that broken spirit... in that regard she somewhat echoes the desires Starlight once felt. However they differ in that where as Starlight was never truly evil, just misguided and utterly consumed by feelings of exclusion and dereliction, Chrysalis is truly evil. She is not looking for redemption, acceptance or harmony... she is looking for domination.

 

It is all she has left as of this finale. I am looking forward to how this topic will be handled by the writers.
