What would you do if the brony fandom dies?

If the brony fandom just disappeared with a poof. I wouldn't have a purpose on this earth and I wouldn't have any reason to exist so I would end up mysteriously going missing over night. Now when I went missing I actually deleted myself from the timeline all together so I no longer exist. :)

I have a feeling that a community this large couldn't just die off that fast.

Many fandoms I am a part of are still quite active even after ending, so I think as long as people still continue making fan art, writing fanfiction etc, the brony fandom should still be able to survive for quite a while. :squee:

I swear that the fandom will never die even if the show ends

for example, I am still a member of the KND fandom and am still active in the fan forum

I could even say that it is funnier when the show ends because you can make more theories, rewatch episodes and create new things for your own

creativity never dies

I would be in denial at first but eventually looking back knowing how it was like to be a part of something so much larger than what you can possibly think. It's really astounding to know that how MLP:FiM can create such a fanbase like this and to be a part of it all is really unforgettable, for me that is. For it to vanish would be unlikely as the nostalgia for many current and eventual fans today would help it attain throughout time.

I'd just keep on watching the show by myself. :D And reminisce about what kind of things the fandom had had to offer. To me it sounds very unlikely for the fandom to just die though since there probably will be quite many fans around even after the show has ended.

Come on as long as hasbro has realised that hey we can make money from toys with not only little girls but grown men, they will never stop be cause they want toy money

Ponies, Ninja Turtles and Transformers have all been household names since before most fans were even born. They all are still producing movies, shows and selling toys. Franchises go through ups and downs from generation to generation. The longer they can continue to stay in the public's eye, the more likely they will remain relevant and retain their fanbase. Besides, male adults have been customizes and repainting ponies long before G4 and I am sure that male adults will continue to do so long after G4.

Ponies reminds me a lot of wrestling.

Old Time Wrestling = My Pretty Pony Everything is "real". Fandom: very localized

Hogan Era = G1 Very kiddie with cartoon-ish characters. Fandom: HUGE

New Generation = G2 More realistic and technically sound. Fandom: dwindling

Monday Night Wars = G3 Comeback to the small and big screen. Fandom: rapidly growing with new younger fans

PG Era = G3.5 Fandom: adults "kill it with fire" and kids "wheeee"

The Network Era = G4 The internet reigns supreme. Fandom: globalized

Future Era = G5 Even better production value and storylines? Fandom: Even bigger or will it die like TNA? Only time will tell.

We can always go back to re-watching our personal favorites anytime we want and still enjoy them even if no one else is.

If I don't understand something or Interpret it wrong, I'm dutch. Sometimes I gamble for meanings of the words. And sometimes I write the wrong words, like week and weak for example. Sorry for it already. :smug:

What is up with people's obsession with the fandom 'dying'? A fandom as large as this one won't go away, not completely. It simply won't happen.

Exactly, lol. Every fandom has this fear of "dying", though lots of them just live on even after the show/game or whatever is practically dead.

The fandom doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Not as lively as it use to be, but there are too many of us still for it to just disappear.

Now if it did, it wouldn't bother me too much. As long as me, and a few others like the show the fandom will always live.

it'll just go the way of pokemon for me. Im not hevaily into it, but I play the games kinda and I still collect pokemon stuff and enjoy watching the old series and movies. It'll be the same with MLP. Especially since it means a lot to me, meeting Denz through this fandom and pretty much having a normal relationship and home life with him. I'll still offer the commissions out there for any fans still going, but i'll then branch back into the furry and fantasy art since that never dies.

Fanfics would no longer be updated, that would be a bit of a bummer, but there are also lots of fanfics that are already completed. I would probably just read and watch something else. I mean I don't re-watch the show that much, just sometimes some favorite scenes and I'll still have the show even if the fandom disappears.

I’m only really casually involved in it these days anyway. The last time I went to a convention was in 2016 and I don’t collect the merchandise anymore. I just watch the show sometimes and talk on here.

Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for.

I went back to the Sonic fandom after being away for 9 years! The best past is that a fandom doesn't just completely vanish just because you leave. So there were a lot of cool things to read about, and some very cool discoveries as well.

When the Brony fandom finally is gone, then I guess I will be the last Brony standing :mlp_smug: (like that is something I can accomplish, when there are so many Bronies that want to be the last Brony standing).
