As you can see, most of my OCs have long hair: Ursa, However... does not. I just decide on what would look bed with said design, so I don't really have a preference. To me, it seems like longer names tend to sound and look a bit more interesting then short names, like the name "Ida" compared to "Gwendolyn". Short names tend to be easier to remember, though. It's fun to style and the possibilities for fun variations are many. But I've seen some stunning short-maned ponies.
