Do you like short manes or long manes?

It really depends on what the pony looks like and what would suit them best.

As you can see, most of my OCs have long hair:

Ursa, However... does not.

I just decide on what would look bed with said design, so I don't really have a preference.

Well, it really depends. To me, it seems like longer names tend to sound and look a bit more interesting then short names, like the name "Ida" compared to "Gwendolyn". Short names tend to be easier to remember, though.

I think names both short and long names are great in their own way.

I think you misread the title it says manes not names  But to be fair both words share the same letters.

Hm! Hard question! I like both a lot, as they can both be very expressive of a pony's personality. But if I had to pick one, I think I'd have to go with short! I really like manes like Spitfire's and DJ Pon-3's.

As with all species of style-conscious creatures, it depends on the personality of the pony in question. Personally I like a long mane. It's fun to style and the possibilities for fun variations are many. But I've seen some stunning short-maned ponies. Essence for example:

The perfect mane length is the one that fits the pony design. Long is not better than short. There is a weight of the overall character design that needs to be considered, I think

Hmmm... I would say it depends more on the style, not the length. Both, short and long hair can be either boring or creative. But in general, I prefer middle length. Coco Pommel is the perfect example, I like her style and mane length
