Alright, I'd like to do something that you may not have seen done before.  I'm a computer science major, but I'm also a gear head, so I'm going to use cars to make a kind of analogy/comparison of the browsers.

--- Now take in mind, I'm not trying to use brand bias, so I might do multiple comparisons to show the kind of analogy I am meaning ---

Chrome is like a Ford F-150, and Firefox is like a Ford Super Duty F-250/F-350.
Of course, remembering I'm not trying to show brand bias, Chrome is like a Chevy Silverado 1500, and Firefox would be like a Chevy Silverado 2500HD...
Or, Chrome is like a Dodge Ram 1500, and Firefox is like a Dodge Ram 2500HD.

So what am I saying by that?  Chrome and Firefox are both great trucks browsers.  Chrome is just a little faster, and Firefox can tow a little more weight; by that I mean, Chrome loads slightly faster, but Firefox can handle more memory-heavy tabs.  I've done multiple kinds of tests before with them, and I really don't have any kind of complaint about either one.  They both work great.

Usually, the difference in load speeds are negligible, and usually you aren't browsing with 150 tabs open, so in the end, choosing between Chrome and Firefox is a personal preference due to their appearance.

Most of the time I use Chrome, but, I will use Firefox on occasion.  But that's because I can sometimes tend to have way too many tabs open, and Chrome starts derping before Firefox does with that amount of tabs.

---

Internet Explorer is like 1978 Chrysler LeBaron station wagon.

Opera is like a Fiat Abarth.

Safari is like... whatever the heck kind of RV that Nigel Thornberry drives, lol.

---

Always test drive before you buy a car.  Unless, the car doesn't look worth driving, as it looks as if it could randomly implode and cause a blackhole while your driving.  Yes, Internet Explorer, I'm talking shit [about you].  Come at me.

I use Firefox because I've done so for years and it has tons of addons that allow me to customize it exactly to my liking. I do sometimes use Chrome, however, if Firefox for whatever reason isn't working. I like both of them.

I use Chrome now. I can't remember what I used before that, but the original browser I used was the AoL Browser. It was what my family had installed and taught me to use so I used it until I realized I had other options. My dad still uses it, but I can't stand it anymore.

I used to browse with Firefox, but my friend introduced me to this lesser-known browser based on it called Pale Moon. I was pleased with it; it became my main browser for a while.

After some time though, I got sick of the fact that the search bar would not show suggestions (despite having the suggestions options checked), and I switched back to Firefox. This didn't last too long, as in late 2014, I switched over to Chrome.

It was very relieving to use, as Firefox would occasionally show "An error occurred" when I clicked on a YouTube video. The same friend highly recommended against using it, but I found it to be a breath of fresh air. It was faster than Firefox, and so far, I've had no errors.

I use torch. Which is basically an outdated chrome.

I actually used Torch for a small time period.  It's got some inherent built in features that Chrome doesn't have... but I found it to be laggy and much less stable over time.

I used to browse with Chrome before version 35. After that, I started using Firefox because Chrome was having problems with Java or Javascript (can't remember) on Linux. So yeah, my vote goes for Firefox.

In the past, I was a proud Opera user, but then it kind of fell off when I start using more Firefox, and today Firefox is still my #1 with Chrome being my secondary browser.

Firefox has held true and steady for me. I know most people consider Chrome to be faster and more efficient, (Heck, almost all my close friends use it now), I just haven't had any real reason to abandon Firefox yet. There's nothing I really care about that Chrome does better that I've had any consideration for switching.

If it ain't broke... -_-

Up until 2004, I used Internet Explorer. In 2004, I switched to Firefox, which was amazing just for tabbed browsing alone.  I switched to Chrome when it came out because it was the fastest and I appreciated the inclusion of Flash and the good updating engine.  Eventually, Firefox caught up and as I became with disenchanted with Chrome over privacy issues, I switched back to Firefox.  When I upgraded to Windows 8, I found the latest Internet Explorer to be pretty good actually and since it's the only one with a real touch browser on Windows 8, I switched back. I value the integration with the rest of the system and reading mode is nice, but I've kept Firefox as a backup. However, since I joined mlpforums.com I have gone back to Firefox because the quoting system on here doesn't work on Internet Explorer without me manually typing the BBcode. Since I'm on here so much, I just Firefox for everything. Internet Explorer on Windows 8 seems just as fast as Chrome and also bakes in Flash, it just isn't quite there yet with web standards. Hopefully, the new Spartan browser will change that. I actually miss using web accelerators when I'm in Firefox.
