Magical Mystery Cure was the worst episode I've ever seen. Twilight screws up, has her friends help her fix the problem, adjusts someone else's work, steals all the credit, and is rewarded. This episode also uses destiny, which is a cheap way of making things happen. Things were 'destined', rather than coming from difficult choices and logical (for a cartoon, lol) outcomes. While Twilight doesn't need to go through all the steps of A Hero With A Thousand Faces, it just seems she didn't earn such an ascension on her own, yet.

Show Stoppers. I don´t like it. I don´t think it is too bad but I just can´t watch the entire thing in one sitting, I get bored. Don´t hate it but I felt really disappointed when I saw it. I really wanted to like the CMC´s but this episode almost made me not care about them, but I like their other episodes so I actually like them

The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well is the only episode of MLP that I remember watching and not enjoying. I haven't watched it since it came out, so I could revisit it, but I don't really have any desire to. :B I've never been into superheroes to begin with, and I didn't really like how the characters acted in this episode...

Okay then, I'm happy with that. :) at least more bronies are answering to my topic! Btw, I don't like jus Spike episodes, they're so boring and stereotypical when the spotlights on him (as many others said it already)

My least favorite episode is Just for Sidekicks. It shows Spike as a selfish, greedy dragon (which we all know Spike isn't). And I don't like seeing animals being mistreated. But atleast he learned not to do favors out of the greediness of his heart.

The one with gilda.

I hate seeing fluttershy cry, and for that matter-seeing her inflict a baqd influence on the younger viewers.

Gilda is a total attention-hog and her obsession with 'coolness' will get her in trouble later in life.

(YES I REALIZE SHE IS A CARTOON.  I AM JUST SAYING.)

That...

I like the episode (mostly because of the feels, though), but that was my major problem with the story, even more so than the pacing.

I"m totally okay with Twilight Princess, but I don't like how it was brought about either. Like I've said, it would have been much stronger and satisfying if it was stressed that Twilight reached enlightenment herself. While her friends helping her achieve this new level of pony-ness is expected and makes sense, it just felt like she was going through Celestia's checklist.

I'd have to say that I wasn't really fond of The Mysterious Mare Do-Well, until I gave it a 2nd look.

When I first saw it, it didn't really appeal to me until I saw Dashie start competing  with the other versions of Mare Do-Well which who were later revealed as Applejack, Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy. But the 2nd look, I enjoyed it.

An update of my least favorite episodes.

Least Fav

1. Mysterious Mare Do Well

While it has some great references, a great super hero design, and some fun jokes, I can say this may be my lest favorite episode. Almost everyone but rainbow was out of character. They play a devious trick on a friend to teach her a lesson without ever trying to talk to her. Secretly brag about it. They end up having to explain it to her anyway making the trick superfluous.

2. MMMystery on the friendship express
A very funny episode with great visual gags and amusing characters. However it kinda fell a bit flat for me. It seems to undermine Pinkies intelligence a bit. All of the characters become crafty thieves? Enjoyable but not an episode the lingers in my mind at all.

3. Spike at your service
Again a very funny episode. There really are some great moments here. Rainbow writing self insert fanfics. Rarity teaching Applejack how to be a damsel in distress. However strange wedged in facts that contradict continuity(dragon code), partial mis-characterization of Spike, and a moral that falls flat really hurt this episode. really this episode leaves me conflicted because I both was very disappointed by it, yet I enjoyed it as well. However it goes on the list as its one those episodes I will often skip when watching the season again.

4. Games Ponies Play

This episode has some great things. It ties very well with the prior episode. It has a surprisingly developed Side Character. Shining Armors reaction to said side character flirting with him. Some funny jokes. Rainbow Dash's freaking parents. Interesting character moments from Dash and Twilight. However all of it falls apart due to a focus on a overused joke. The side character while interesting took up too much screen time. Cadence and rarity subplot really doesn't amount to much. The moral also falls a bit flat. Really I came out of this one wondering who the focus character was. Was it Twilight? Was it Rainbow? Was it Side Character?

5. Over a Barrel

This episode conflicts me even more than Spike at your service. It is in many ways presented very well. It presents the classic Native American conflict. The conflict presented both sides equally. Both sides had an extreme defender who vehemently argued their position. Each side also had a party willing to reasonably discuss the problem. Neither side is presented as right or wrong. I think this episode presented the conflict better than Avatar which presented it in black and white. Yes that's right a cartoon about ponies presented the conflict and a better way than a huge budget James Cameron flick. However it is a conflict which has been done to death. There's also the whole pie fight which undermines the entire episode. It down plays violence, and ends up being the solution to the whole problem. So yeah Violence ended up kinda solving the problem. It also has one of the only full songs that really amounts to nothing in the narrative. Pinkies song supports the theme of the episode, but is ignored. It ends up being an entertaining but superfluous scene.

I can't remember which one it was but it's either Call of the Cutie or Magical Mystery Cure and the reason being is that almost the entire episode is singing ><

I'm sorry to say but I just find any of those Cutie Mark Crusader-based episodes very boring such as The Show Stoppers. It just didn't interest me. Not saying I hate the characters though.

I seem to love all the episodes quite a bit, but these are the ones I was most indifferent to.

Suited for Success and Mare do Well were ones that I legitimately got bored by, I think I may have even left 5 minutes early because the plot seemed to drag on forever :/

The worst one I reckon was the episode where AJ saved Spike's life, and he kept helping her, it was a bit asinine when he counted the blades of grass xD, it wasn't too bad though, I just felt the story had been done to death.

Although I loved Magical Mystery Cure, that's probably the best criticism I've seen thrown at it.

To hit that character mark, my least favorite is still A Dog and Pony Show.

I love you.

Its About Time. Really the episode wash just boring and cliche. It really had no development and Twilight going crazy again really wasn't worth it. I also don't care much Green isn't Your Color, Fall Weather Friends, Dragonshy, Best Night Ever, and Look Before You Sleep.

I haven't seen the whole series yet, I'm in the middle of Season 2... I think Secrets of My Excess is my least favourite because I love Spike and I hated seeing him with such a negative personality, all greedy and unlike him. Not the little cutie baby dragon that I love at all!

It's not even the worst episode in the series (Games Ponies Play is followed by The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well), but my most hated is Just for Sidekicks. Spike at Your Service wrote Spike as out-of-character and careless for the sake of a cheap moral within a poor premise.

But Just for Sidekicks wrote Spike as just as bad, if not worse. Spike was selfish, antagonistic, uncharacteristically greedy, and completely unlikeable. He willingly broke the trust of his friends for the sake of making his jewel cake, something he would NEVER do given the current timeline of the series. He learned the consequences of greed in Secret of My Excess and understood the meaning of trust for his family in Dragon Quest. That character development was sacrificed for the sake of developing a moral that was just cheap.

But what made it stung more was the fact that Corey Powell wrote it, and the concept for Just for Sidekicks was great. I was royally disappointed, and I was only able to watch it once because I hated the episode so much. She's a fantastic writer, and the fact she wrote Spike so badly stung given her credentials.

Well, it WAS my most hated episode. But a recent one eclipsed it.

Rainbow Falls.

Beyond Derpy's return, the griffons, and the visuals, I undoubtedly hate just about everything in this episode. Not only are the characters flanderized or out of character, but the plotline is contrived with a poorly written moral, out-of-character comedy, and constant info-dumping. The writing here is easily the dumbest that I've seen in an episode since Spike at Your Service. While I hated Just for Sidekicks because of Spike's awful characterization and unfulfilled expectations, I hate this one much more because it's factually TERRIBLE! I wrote an entire review tearing the episode apart here; be warned: I gave it no mercy.

I fucking hate Sonic Rainboom.

Objectively? Meh. 4/10.

But, in all honesty, that episode has given me countless headaches with the ammo it provided Rarity bashers.

So, subjectively?  :eww:

Now, Flight to the Finish made a strong case and is my 2nd least favorite episode of the series, and all of S3 was rather cancerous to me, but Sonic Rainboom just took the fricken' cake. Seriously. Kill that episode with fire.

Although, Dashie episodes have never been high on my list, even though I do like the character herself quite a bit, her episodes have never really been my thing, you know?

MMMystery on the Character Derailment Express. It is the one episode I flat-out refuse to accept as canon. It has Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty, betraying her friend Pinkie after Pinkie made it crystal clear what was going on. It has "Housemover" McIntosh struggling under the weight of a cake. It has Fluttershy and Rarity actively deceiving Pinkie and driving her half-crazy with worry.

Worst.

Episode.

Ever.

Something cannot be factually terrible.  There is enough ammo within the episode for people to make positive reviews, which they have, by the way.  After all, people are going to disagree, and if you hit anything hard enough with a hammer, it will break.
