The show surprisingly made me realize that there is good in this world. I didn't know anyone who was different like me (what I mean is watch cartoons still). I learned about the show and bronies and my view on the world and my life changed. Seriously Whenever I had a bad day this show would chear me up. I would forget all my troubles. I would then walk outside knowing that things can get better. We just have to hope and try our best to live with what we have and what we can achieve.

if a few months ago you would have told me I was going to fall in love with a TV show about ponies, I probably would have hit you.

this community has made me kinder to people and more open to ideas. it also showed me that judging people just because they watch MLP is wrong. MLP has actually made me start making music too :)

I have become a lot happier than i once was, I have gained some faith back when it comes to humanity and humans, and i have realized that not everyone is a complete dingus... Overall i have become more outgoing made more friends and am a bit more cheerful.

Eh. I don't think anything absolutely that signifigant really changed from the fandom or the show, although I'll admit I am a bit more social than I used to be, going to meetups, using forums, etc. And perhaps a bit more cheerful, but aside from that I don't really think it changed me a whole lot.

Both the show and the fandom have helped me to be more accepting of a person's hobbies or preferences, no matter how "uncommon" they are.

I'm totally fine with cloppers, furries, unusual fetishes, etc. As long as nobody is getting hurt, stolen from, or the law isn't being broken, then I'm totally fine with whatever people like to do.

Nothing at all, I'm still the exact same person I was before, except instead I like to watch MLP. I still love music, synthesizers, guitar, writing, drawing etc. Really there is no difference in me at all. I didn't go through some "oh I wuz haevin a tuff lyfe and den I saw de ponees and den evurything wuz rainboes" kind of story.

When I was a kid, I used to watch cartoons about talking mutant reptiles. Now, I watch a cartoon about talking equines.

Not much has changed, all things considered!

@@Rainbow-Crayons,

Hey there. After some digging, a topic was uncovered that was remarkably similar to yours, as they were both resulting to sharing how being a brony has changed/affected our lives. For convenience, I have merged your topic with the older one and then retitled the other one to make the subject of the discussion more clear.

It changed my life for the better. Before I became a brony I was an awful person. I always tease or rank on people, even those I didn't know. I was extremely conceited. I use to influence some of my friends to become quite a mean person. I even insulted one of my closest friends often and I use to play with her emotions by acting like I hated her at times. Then when I was introduced to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic by a former "special somepony," the changes gradually became noticeable. At first I was like "WTF is this g*y sh*t." Third episode came and I unbelievably started to like it. Soon the kindness rubbed off onto me. I started treating people nicer, I became an overall better friend to everyone. And that closest friend is now one of the most important people to me and will always be one of by bestest fwiends. I'm actually extremely thankful that I became a brony, otherwise I'd still be in that dark abyss. So now I thank Hasbro for MLP and you the brony community for turning me into a better person :muffins:

Haha, changed my life? If it did, it helped me alot with actually being myself since i wasn't the kind of guy showing my real me i was trying to act cool and such, that's why i love the internet. Cause you can be whoever you like, especially yourself but no one will ever realise that is the real you or fake you!

Honestly tho, watching MLP Changed a big part of my life.

I have only told two people irl so far and he did not make fun of me just found it a bit weird. Some of my other friends I am worried will judge but i turns out some of my skype friends are bronies and so is my cousin :D . Thinking about telling my mum as I need to cosplay at a comic con as it is the first year I am going as a brony.

Also the show has got me to think about the elements of harmony in real life (will never get the element of honesty :3) and being kind to people.

Overall the show has made me a much happier person :)

The show has changed my life for the better. It has made me so much more happier than before. Unfortunately, my brother is a anti-brony, so he makes my daily life harder then usual. He made up some bull-crap story about how his friends are making fun of him because I am a brony (If this story is real, then some friends, huh?). So now my parents basically hate me for being a brony because my brother is the star child of the family, and his rep is being ruined. But as long as I have the society, I feel like life isn't as hard as it should be, and that's how I like it. I just hope that all of you guys are going to be here for me, cause the bronies have been the only thing keeping me going. I hope this fandom lasts for a good, long, time.

Well, it defiantly made me more tolerant and kind. Although, the show is fantastic, what got me even more into it is the fantastic community.

This is me after i watched the show... trying to maintain my manliness...

Yes, but in a good way. I feel like it has alowed me to be more open about myself. Not in a brony way, but in genral. you see, being a brony alows you to exspress your self in many talents. Art, music, writing, etc. You might not even know you had these talents in the first place.

Yes it has changed me by all means. The show made me appreciate my friends a lot more then before. All of them are nerds (sadly, like myself) so it wasn't anything big when I admitted I was a Brony to them. Heck, most of them are Bronies themselves!

I usually see a lot of bronies saying that MLP FiM has changed themselves, as a person, for the better.  Some people have even said that it cured their depression and makes them feel more outgoing or happier overall.  So, did My Little Pony change the way you are?  How has it changed you?

Me personally, I have become way more open minded to things and a lot nicer to people, and gained a lot more patience (the long waits between the seasons happy.png)

Yeah i think so, I think the show in general makes people kinder, to some extent or another.

I think me personally it made me feel depressed less often, I use to get kinda depressed at times, but it seems MLP is a great cure for that or something ;P.

I've also gained some faith in humanity due to the kind people I've seen here.

Not to mention I've learned to be more tolerable of others, aswell as many other lessons from the show.

Theres other changes i've experienced, but I think those are the ones off the top my head, that also come from MLP and not just purely the community here.

I think it has changed me for the better. I have learned to be a lot kinder because sometimes I used to get really angry when something bad happened but after I watched the show I have learned to control my anger and to just be a better person. I do take some of the lessons from the show into account into my own life which has just really helped me be a better person!
