It has changed my life quite a bit. I'm always looking for more ways to better myself and this show has definitely helped in a few nessisary aspects.

It's also brought me into a place full of better people, better influences on my life, instead of some of the crummy people I used to know that were very negative...

It has drastically and dramatically changed my life.

I'm much less depressed all the time, I'm spending time on the forums (not sure how good of a thing this is :P), I've found a great show to watch, and not only those things, but I used to scoff at friendship and mock others.

Now, I've made lots more friends, talked to people I never would have if it weren't for MLP, and had tons of fun. :umad:

The show really hasn't affected me at all, I still spend horrendous amounts of time on the computer, and I still have all the same hobbies.

The only difference is that I'll occasionally watch an episode of mlp.

Very much so. It has given me a healthy outlet for my stress. Instead of smoking and/or drinking heavily like the other guys, one ep of pony and I'm good to go. It has also made me realize how much of a douche I was. I used to hate on people that liked anime, WoW, and other fan culture. Once I was assimilated into the herd, I was given a taste of my own medicine. Now I am accepting of pretty much everyone and everything. What right do I have to judge someone if I watch mlp?

The only "negative" I can think of is that I spend a lot more time on the interbutts. But I can live with that.

No, not really. I'm generally the same person, just picked up a new interest and another way to waste time. Ironically, I started cursing much, much more often right around the time I started watching FiM, but other than that, nothing major has changed.

To some extent, yes.  I'd like to think I was already open minded and open to my feminine side, but now even more so.  And a lot of my focus this past year has gone into the show and its fandom.  Plus, I haven't done much reading since junior high, but now I read fanfics sometimes, which is nice.  I never really liked AMVs or fanfics before, but now I like PMVs and pony Fimfiction.

Fiction is my life, and MLP has definitely had an impact.

I love you.

The lessons from the My Little Pony episodes have given me great advice and they taught me how to be a better person. Also, if I wasn't a brony, I wouldn't be on this amazing website with all of you amazing people.

I draw ponies. Not just people. I also started actually shading my pictures just as I started drawing ponies.

I learnt that there are some pretty pretentious people.

I also learnt the world is even more full of attention whores than I thought.

I learnt that people will like you only if you are cheerful and kind.

I learnt that people never really learn the lessons from the MLP.

I learnt that there are no second chances.

I learnt that people make their visions according to one story, not researching anything.

I learnt about MBTI.

I learnt that what I do will hardly ever be appreciated.

I learnt that the destiny had probably changed.

I learnt that being loyal hurts.

I learnt that being polite and saying sorry doesn't change a thing.

I learnt that people like to forget.

I learnt that I really can't be around people.

All this thanks to bronism.

I'm sorry to hear you're friends and family aren't as accepting as you would like them to be hun -hugs- but the important thing is that being a brony makes you happy right? :3 As long as it's not interfering with anyone else in any sort of negative manner then it really shouldn't matter what your friends or family say.

Now to answer your topic question :D

Being a brony has changed my life in the sense that I now have a pretty big group of friends who are like brothers I've never had :3 My local group has meet ups every Saturday and they have become the highlight of my week :D

The fandom as a whole has helped me to restore my faith in not only the human race, but in the human heart in itself in that there are still people out there who have a heart which is what this world needs most. Sure the economy is in the toilet and other problems are happening but it takes having the heart to deal with those problems that makes change happen in the world, not being passive like others have been.

Seriously nothing has changed in my life after becoming a brony. My girlfriend still loves me, my friends still respect me (one has become a brony himself), my parents don't really care. I have never been bullied for being brony as I live in Leeds which has a huge student population complete with nerds and hipsters who both respect bronies (nerds because they understand why people would like the show and hipsters because they respect any deviation from the mainstream).

Well, in some ways, it did.

One major way is that the show gives me inspiration. I love to write and I have so many fanfics in mind based around this show that I have yet to write. I currently have an idea for a fanfic that Sweetie Belle goes to a boarding school, but that's for another time.

I think the show even made me a more happy person. I didn't have depression, my home life was just fine, it was just that I was generally an unhappy person. And when my friend introduced me to the show, I didn't think much of it at first, but later on, I started watching a lot and I soon found myself more upbeat around my friends. It didn't turn me into some social butterfly or anything, but I'm now a happy, shy person.

I know this sounds cliche, but I even made some new friends along the way. And I can relate to these friends, because we have the same interests (they even introduced me to new music and video games).

So, the answer to your question is: yes, being a brony did change me.

Not at all, honestly.

I understand it did for some, and that's great. For me, it's just another fandom for a  show that I happened to enjoy.

This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner.

This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

I learned that true friends would accept who you are; so I guess I'm kind of surrounded by fake friends. Well, I have a few of real friends. :T

I learned that I should just be myself and that friends are truly important. Only problems, I still have trouble with both. It reminded me of my horrible self esteem and I have so much trouble just accepting myself with all of my many flaws included. On the second part, I am just incredibly anti-social with tons of social anxiety, so I don't have many friends at all and even then the very few that I have, I feel unworthy of thanks to the lack of self acceptance that I mentioned.

So, the show has taught me these things, things that I have always struggled with and still struggle with regardless. It just reminded me why I wish I could overcome these other problems, but it is unlikely.

I have already said what the show has introduced me to in a different thread.

It has made me a calmer and less irritable person overall and I have learned not to judge things by there cover and always go into things positive furthermore I have learnt such an important lesson for all teenagers around the globe and that is if you be good to people well people will be good to you.
