Stupid crap that people say when you tell them what a Brony is.

I just ignore them when they laugh at me. If they keep exploiting it into a new direction, that drives me nuts. For example, when a student tells his friends and it spreads. And they keep asking if I watch stupid kids shows just to tick me off. I can tell the whole world that I am a Brony if I really have to, but another problem is when I try to explain why us Bronys love the show and they inter up us saying something like are these people even real or why are you watching a little girls show. And when I do say why we love the show they always say something stupid to me. I tell them about how popular they are on the internet but they just go their own way thinking Bronys are creepy adult men who watches My Little Pony. Can these people ever understand something new? And even respect people for who they are?

That is pretty obvious. Anybody can do what they please. I can watch cartoons all I want and I don't give a care about what those reality watching students and people say about me.

you are way stronger than i.

considering how many times i purposely cross the line between a straight line and a curve i can't take a chance like that, espeacially since the girl im trying to date is a She-wolf.

If you keep trying, you can really overcome everything.

The most common reply I've gotten was, "Ponies? Aren't those for little girls?" or something along those lines, but my friend (who is now a brony themselves) did say once ponies were stupid. Otherwise, it's pretty much the general little-girls comment.

When I was a non Brony, I thought the show looked interesting but thought it wasn't my cup of tea. Now back in the days when it was G3, I really thought My Little Pony was stupid. And of course everybody knows that G3s are stupid.

When G3 was more in the popular times, I actually was not too old, but not old enough to really get into them. I know I was pretty young, and I just liked the pretty pony colors. Now I realize how dumb they kinda were, but hey, I was a kid.

So basically it takes time for a Brony to form.

When I was a young kid in 2004, I thought G3s were really dumb. I was annoyed by the commercials that used to come on and my friends at my school and me made fun of them. I can make fun of the G3s today. Actually I might have some of the G3 commercials that were recorded from television back in 2004-2005. If anybody is looking for them I might have them. If I have heard of Friendship Is Magic back in 2010, I would probably think it looked like a good show with Ponies that looked like anime characters.

I actually never saw any commercials for them! I just got the pony toys from relatives and, for some reason, adored them. Like I said, I think it was for their colors. I'd like to see some of the old commercials though.

If they are rare, I can upload them for everybody to see. I do actually like G1s but never heard of them as a kid. As for G2s, I never seen them that much. I believe my father has seen every G1 My Little Pony movie which didn't look bad but cheesy. G4s are the best. The reason is that they look better and FIM is such a good cartoon. Lots of Bronys don't know how they became Bronys. I knew how I became one because I am a big fan of animation and cartoons and most cartoons today can be crap. Also I love there looks. They look so cute and adorable. It is the right look for any My Little Pony line. I love ponies that are anthropomorphic and act like cartoons but look like anime. Lauren Faust is a completely born genius!!

I actually have became shy for days when I became a Brony.

It doesn't mean that you are gay if you don't have a girlfriend. I don't have one and I don't plan on getting one.

Yeah they are probably aware of that. But i wouldnt be surprised if they felt that way. But i wouldnt care. gay isnt really an insult anyway

.I have really good friends that live far away from where I am, and I told only two of them about the show. They showed interest, and then I assume they told the rest. But knowing them, they wouldn't care. My mom has seen that I liked MLP on facebook, and..well she knows im weird anyway, but she is weird as fuck as well.

So I havn't had any stupid replys. But you never know, someday I might run into it.

The responses I'd probably get from friends would be along the lines of "dude wtf your kidding right!?" cue explanation... So for now I'm sticking with meeting other bronies, rather than dealing with the large amounts of stupid reactions I’d receive.

A few of the responses I've recieved:

'Are you one of them queer-o-sexuals?'

'Oh god, you're one of them. WHY?'

'Ok, that sounds normal' [Massive sarcasm]

'I think there's something wrong with you.'

The words 'Pastel coloured equine fetish' have come up in a conversation. I'll be honest, I thought that was pretty funny.

I think the general consensus is PONIES=GAY. YOU=GAY?

Almost forgot my personal favourite: 'I'm going to stay up all night watching these now.'

Many brohoofs were had that day.

He, it all the depends on how you do it.

I for example, casually told my friends I watched my little pony the day after I did it for the first time, when I still wasn't a brony. And most of them knew that the internet was full of them ans werent surprised. One of them even said he liked them, but it sounds more like he likes the memes but has never watched the show. Thats for the ones who do use the internet.

For those who dont it was even funnier. One of my friends who is really cool (Listen to this, he is a typical sports jock who talks about women and sports all day, but he also proudly listens to romantic stuff that other people call gay music. I mean, he even listens justin bieber! And also I've got another friend who is also similar, but he might be even more girly overall, so its not that weird) said he had watched the show on tv with his little sister and liked it, and the other one said that too!

And I even mentioned pinkie pie and some guy who I had never ever expected to know about it inmeaditly reacted!

Internetzy stuff tend to hit really hard in Chile, and I'm quite happy with it

There was massive controversy regarding MLP over on an alternate history forum I go on. Fortunately the Admin is actually reasonable and has repeatedly stated that the MLP fandom is not to be given any special treatment (which basically means haters who can't keep it to themselves get kicked or banned quite quickly). The neigh-sayers over there are all absolutely ridiculous, stating that it's "weird" for grown men to be watching a "show for little girls", and complaining that the Pony Thread should be locked and deleted because of how much trouble it's caused (which is absolutely ridiculous, because all the trouble has been caused by the people attacking MLP).

One of them even PMed me and said that he hated the fandom because it had introduced him to the concept of MLP pornography. My response essentially amounted to "There's porn of everything. Welcome to the Internet.".

  • 3 weeks later...

So one of my most recent negative responses of someone discovering my fanship comes from a heated TF2 Control Point match.

*ahem*

So I was playing on Coldfront and having a grand old time with my friend who was over at my house, when I decided to spray my tag right next to the opposing team's Resupply locker-room thingy (my tag is a Spy Rarity saying "Oh dear, I've made quite a mess..." and I absolutely LOVE it ).

Later on in the map, I managed to air-blast an Uber Heavy far enough away from the Medic that was Ubering him, making him lose the Uber (duh). In the disarray, my friend (a Soldier) managed to kill the Heavy before he could reunite with his Medic. He wasn't too pleased to say the least... He cursed for several minutes before calming down. When he respawned, he apparently saw my tag and proceeded to ask who had put it there. I admitted to doing so and he just laughed into the mic. I asked him what was so funny and he said that I should leave the game now. Confused, I asked him why he thought that, to which he responded, "Because bronies are a bunch of- *I'll leave this part up to your imagination since it isn't pretty at all* -and they should all die in a hole."

I was all :(, but I kept quiet, just loving and tolerating the hater, while my friend (a non-brony) was all  yelling at him for being a troll and a jerk. The guy just laughed, called my friend names, then continued to insult me, the show, and the fandom in general.

I'd like to say I hate judgmental people like that but all I can really say is that I really really really really really really really really dislike them :P

My sister is around 11 years old. She laughed at me when I told her I watched FiM. She said that the My Little Pony she used to watch on DVD and VHS looked better than it.

I'm always quiet on TF2 lobbies, but I put my pony sprays up proudly! They always get sprayed over but that doesn't stop me from moving them. That really pisses people off and eventually other bronies come and spray and the haters leave. This happens pretty much whenever I play btw.

"I don't know you anymore." was the response I got when I said "dude you really F***ing need to watch the first episodes of season 2, theyre amazing" then I said "I'm just kidding man, I had to watch it with my little brother"

I have a friend who is a huge hater of bronies and whenever i mention MLP to her through text all she says is:

*facepalm*

I know that feel. I got one of my friends to agree to come to bronycon with me though. I'm excited :)
