They might not believe the profits outweigh the production costs but I do. They would make a KILLING on plushies for both little girls and bronies.

 

I disagree. As numerous as we may seem, an up in quality would not give them the returns their looking for, as higher prices might turn off the main demographic (parents). You can sell 50 high quality somethings for $10 a pop, or you can sell 1000 for $5 a piece. The economics in that is clear.

 

Thankfully, we have a very talented fan base for such things.

The last thing Hasbro wants to do is taint its image with Brony support. They'll let the show do that, because they're loosely tied to Hasbro, but selling Scratch or Derpy toys or plushies? Lolnope, the media would have a field day and overprotective mothers would be like "Lolwut"

No, Hasbro is run by Discord, it is for chaos. Chaos=profit. They create chaos making inaccurate plushies that are an insult to your self-being and sexuality with pretty pink thingies. Hasbro doesn't even watch the show, just assumes, oh Dash is the tomboy, make her look normal. Applejack, don't include a hat, just a pink stereotype truck! On some level I hope they don't make any since they will probably be awful. I can't stand the look of the plastic ones, I doubt plushes would be any better.

 

I'm pretty sure Hasbro don't consider us a viable market for anything really, let alone a whole new product. I don't know exactly how many of us there are but it isn't going to outweigh the profits that they think they will get from the shows target audience.

The giant Twilight and Pinkie Pie plushies they have at Toys R Us wouldn't be half-bad if their hair wasn't crap. If they could get the hair right, they'd be good enough for some bronies, and it probably doesn't cost that much more money to make their hair better. That's just a guess though.

From a manufacturing point of view, I don't think Hasbro would put forth the money to change the characteristics of something they're already making some money off of. It costs alot to change something when it comes to product design. From a fan point of view, I think it'd be awesome if they make stuff that was actually based upon the show correctly, but it’s all about the profit.
