well it's a start but you may start to experience symptoms of unfufillment, and despair that you cannot really meet them irl. Call me old-fashioned but cybercex isn't really my forte. I'm not saying it's not exactly "real", its more as if it's incomplete love, like an appetizer, using your imagination to fill in the gaps. If and when you meet in reality your imagination may come to a bit of a surprise, which may be a good thing, or it may not. Its akin to two lovers writing mail to each other because they live so far away. Yes, they may love each other but they are still sad that they are apart.

i think i can't really add something here, or change your mind about your views on online relationships: it sounds like we're on different spectrums about this here, possibly because i've experienced a successful relationship online, while you haven't, thus, you feel alienated about this that i am in here.

 

i'll just say this: if Feathers would have left me much to be desired, i would possibly not have loved him that much anymore as much as i do now. but that's not the case. he's helped me through a lot of shit with my life, has showed me an almost endless amount of compassion towards me, and he's pretty much always understanding of me and my needs. and so have i towards him.

 

 

without each other, we both would be a lot less happy than we are right now, in so many ways. i don't think of our love as something incomplete, or as an appetizer. or well, the appetizer part would be kinda true, i guess, since i do rather long for the day we can finally live together. whenever that happens, we'll see, but until then, i'll continue to show him the endless amount of affection i have towards him, and he will do the same towards me, i bet.
