In the event we peacefully made contact with a universe of MLP FIM. No war, blah blah blah, trans-dimensional portal linking both universes, blah blah blah.

 

And after some point during few months after first contact, a spinet MLP FIM Pony and Human fall in love, get married and have mutant babies together with magic.

 

How do you think our more less open minded Humans like the Westboro Baptist Church would react?

I think it be so funny if Westboro Baptist Church saw the Human male and a stallion (seeing how homophobic they are) to be the first xenophilia relationship to happen we between Humans and Ponies.

Oh yeah, there are going to be a lot of people claiming that it is bestiality and are going to try to pass laws against sapient inter species marriages and maybe even pass sodomy laws against sapient inter species sexual relationships. I think that while there may be some ponies that may have a problem with it I think they will be a lot more accepting than humans will be because I think that inter species relationships probably do occasionally happen in Equestria. Spike who is a dragon has an obvious crush on Rarity who is a pony yet everypony treats it the same as they would any other crush.

It'd probably be legal in Equestria, but illegal in more than a few places on earth, but some countries would take advantage of this and legalize it to seem more appealing to ponies and pony lovers, invite them all in as potential job seekers and tax payers. The first Equi-Sapien child I'd feel sorry for. The press, scientific and religious communities would have a field day. The foal wouldn't know peace until many others of it's kind were born later on. There would probably be many attempts to kidnap it for study or to sell on the black market or just plain assassination attempts by radicals from either side (most likely human though). But once it's all said and done, maybe it could mark a period of growth and progression for the human race.

Firstly, , this is like the nine bazillionth topic I've seen you make dedicated to different facets of human/pony relationships.

 

How would the world react? Not...well, I don't think. What with our terror of anything we don't understand, including things like homosexuality, pansexuality and asexuality, the world would most likely explode. I can't imagine it being illegal in Equestria, however, but there would be all sorts of laws over on Earth to try and stop things like this from happening. 

 

I don't know why. Different strokes for different folks. I'd feel kind of bad for the child though, especially for the first few couples who choose to have children together. I have no idea what an inter-species offspring (wow, that sounds clinical) would look like, but I can't imagine the baby being well received in terms of physical aspects.

I don't think the couple could have kids unless they used some kind of chromosome altering magic...

I'm pretty sure most, save for a very small percentage of people, would be against it, calling it beastiality (even though its Xenophilia), whereas I'm sure it'd be more accepted in Equestrian society.

As if people need more excuses to be complete assholes towards each other. Still, it would do us some good to learn to deal with this issue, I just hope the parters and children involved won't have to suffer too much before the rest of our society gets over it's dickish attitudes.

I don't think the ponies will be as open-minded as we make them out to be though. They may not have as violent a history as humans as far as we know, but cruelty, closed-mindness and apathy are definitely found in ponies as well as humans.

Is that even physically possible? You wouldn't have a mutant baby/filly in the first place unless you crossed the species, but the results could be daunting.

 

Assuming this were to be present-day Earth, there would already be enough trouble with the issue of gay marriage, so I'm sure plenty of people would shoot this down even faster. I'm sure the most that should happen is to be best friends with the pony, although it would be weird if you fell off the edge into love with one @-@.

Most places still won't allow same sex marriage-even though the poor bastards have the same tax burden as the rest of us-yet are not entitled to the same benefits in our so-called 'enlightened' society...anyhow, I'm getting sidetracked;

I like to believe that if I had a baby with Rainbow Dash, for example, that the baby wouldn't be some weird mutant thing, but would be a regular pony baby. I wouldn't want a mutant baby :/

Not possible.

Horses typically have 64 chromosomes, while humans typically have 46.

It's genetically impossible, even in the event that Equestrian ponies had a different chromosome count than IRL horses.

Humans and ponies just aren't similar enough in that regard.

Wow this topic hasn't been touched in years.

A lot of the posts are claiming or treating the pony biology like the way it works in real life but this isn't real life; this is Equestria

Personally I like to think that because this is a magical world it's biologically possible for us and because the ponies are sentient like we humans are, it's technically not bestiality in my eyes. 

I'm pretty sure the baby will be born as a healthy centaur half human half horse. But as long as they're giving the same love and treatment that we humans give our children in our world and the ponies give their offspring in their world I don't see any problem with that whatsoever.
